The food is really«amazing». Too expensive. Bad service.

There has been a change in management recently and the service and food are not as good. The manager would not answer the phone to take a delivery order last night because«the waitress was off» and he couldn’t speak English. I appreciate his dilemma but even when I drove over and ordered in person, with help from a customer, there was very little chicken in the Chicken Chow Mein, my favorite, and only a little beef in the other dish. We did not get any rice.

Not that great crab Rangoon are horrible. General Tsos chicken was sub par, and fried rice was more like yellow rice with egg. Not so good y’all.

Friendly staff and great food! I always get their Kung Pao chicken and my boyfriend gets their Sesame chicken. Make sure you try their eggrolls, they are the best!

$ 5.03 all told for a tasty lunch. Carrots, broccoli and meat were all well cooked. Fried rice it came with was very basic. But for the price that makes sense. Spring roll was pretty bland but not in a bad way. All in all a good place to go to if your close. Better than panda or the avg. burger place for sure.

The owners operate the business. They are incredibly friendly and focused on the customer. The food is also good. I’ve struggled for several years to find good chinese in the Dallas metroplex. I am also convinced that the best chinese comes from places that could be considered«hole in the walls.» With that said, New Hong Kong Express is on the lines of a hole in the wall AND they have the best chinese in the area. I totally recommend this place. Try the szechuan shrimp or the shrimp fried rice, made spicy. I was pleasantly pleased with my meal as was everyone in my party. I will definitely go back. The place is clean, neat and the service is amazing. I was also impressed with the size of the shrimp in the fried rice. Most places give you the small, cheap shrimp. This place adds large, nice sized shrimp… plenty of them. The cuisine is delicious. Yum. Can’t wait to go back. If you are in the area, I suggest you try it too. On the corner of Parker and Alma in the shopping center with Supercuts… across from Starbucks and 7 – 11. Convenient location

Hubby called and asked if I wanted some Chinese food. well heck yeah I want Chinese food! He stopped in at New Hong Kong Express and got us both Mongolian Beef. ITWASAWFUL! The rice had what looked like dried egg in it and the beef was salty… last time I checked Mongolian Beef was supposed to be hot and sweet! This was bland and salty. Can’t say we will ever go back again. Sorry New Hong Kong.

Usually get the fried chicken with extra egg. Comes out with a large portion and pretty decent quality chicken. The lunch specials can’t be beat.

I saw this place for a while and finally decided to stop in today and try it. The owners/staff? were very nice. They brought my drink, refills, and entrée to the table. The food was warm, tasted fresh, and is on par with most fast food chinese places you’ll find around Dallas.
