I can only speak to their lunch options but as far as Greek and Mediterranean food goes, it’s pretty good. The chicken souvlaki is my go to lunch platter server on top of pita accompanied by two sides of your choice. I get the Greek salad and the chicken soup. They have a signature in house roster red pepper vinaigrette that is so tasty, I love it! It’s so good they even bottle it and sell it. Waiters were nice and helpful, overall good spot to try, I’d recommend it.

Chicken Cesar slop. Mixed grill gets one star. Oh wait, chicken Cesar wrap is what I ordered. I can’t believe I wasted $ 10 on a soggy chicken Cesar wrap. The outside of the wrap was so soggy it was impossible to eat. The inside chicken Cesar salad could only be described as a «mush» with a variety a «flavors». Not good. I also can’t believe I wasted 20 minutes waiting for it to be made st 6pm on a Monday when there was ZERO other customers. That should have been my first indication to leave — but I was starving. The place itself is gross and needs a good cleaning. The 15 year old kid that was working the cash register did not represent the business well. Neither did the open view of the«kitchen» and I won’t even mention the«cook» working the grill while SITTINGDOWN. All their fries/onion rings are frozen. Too much effort to cut up a fresh potato for this business! Talk about not caring. This is what this food venue is all about. I see them going out of business by the end of the year.

never again… i gave it another try after years of not going… what i ordered was terrible. gyro… had very little meat, which was tasteless, soggy pita. Cooks had no gloves on. and the cook took food off grill and ate it himself. beyond gross… salad not fresh… no need to go on and on.

This is my favorite salad place. I don’t even LIKE salad but this place lets me build my own salad with only ingredients I want. I come here at least twice a week with different people. Atmosphere and service are adequate but the salads are excellent!

We take out from here at least 3 times a month and it has always been good but not tonight. No one liked their food and the balsamic chicken in my salad was inedible. Hummus was thin and watery, falafel flat small tasteless discs, gyro meat hard. It was terrible and although they might just be having an off night, not sure we are willing to give them another chance especially with Krinti in the area

We come here at least twice a week. Usually for lunch. Amazing wraps and salads and excellent service. My favorite is the balsamic chicken salad wrap. LOVE!

Quick service for a quick lunch place. The lunch specials are small and the falafel is not super fresh. The fries on the side are thin and tiny and previously frozen. Makes me miss Queens where Greek food is prepared well.

Simple Greek Restaurant. Great lunch special. The food is delicious and the prices are great! By far some of the best Greek food on Long Island. Definitely give this place a try. The staff is extremely accommodating to custom orders and getting you exactly what you want to eat. Thumbs up!

Visiting from Texas, and this place was awesome. We have a lot of Greek food down south and these guys met our standards. Spinach pie was good(would be better with a little more feta, and the gyro platter was delicious! I had an iced tea(that’s all we drink in Texas), and it was the best I’ve had in NY. Lastly, I’m a chocolate freak, and the dark chocolate mousse cake was perfect! Service was good and it was nice and warm inside. We will probably go back at least once before heading home. Would recommend this place.

I feel most Greek restaurants have to be pretty horrible to prompt me to write a review but The Mixed Grill surely suits that bill. I order to go a simple Greek salad with grilled chicken — dressing on the side. If I lived closer I would have gone back to the restaurant and thrown the dish right back at them to keep it — HORRIBLE — teensy tiny amount of greens and hardly anything else in the dish — this place was the WORST — I hope they read this and take a true review to heart and get with the program — expensive and BAD!!!

Happened across this joint when we scouring the area for some good food. Had a hankering for Greek but couldn’t find any. We were heading to the pizza place next door but then saw this place. It was great! Awesome service, nice staff and all sorts of dishes from Mexican to American to Greek. Yay! Loved it!!!

I just think this place is really lacking. I ordered take out from here with my Boyfriend and we felt that the prices of the food did not match the quality. I thought the menu could have been a little more interesting as well. All the food was just mediocre at best. I got a gyro wrap thing and it was practically a lettuce wrap with one piece of chicken gyro. I was so confused with what it actually was. My biggest pet peeve with food is when you order cheese fries and someone just melts a deli sliced piece of cheese over a pile of fries. I just get so made because it is like, well duh I could have done that myself, and it really does not taste good. But Alas, the mixed grill did that, and as soon as I saw it I just got mad. That is just so lazy to me! Probably will not come here again, no matter how many coupons we get in the mail from this place!

In the shadows of an over priced quasi Italian restaurant.(La Piazza), which is nothing more than an overpriced pizzeria sits a very unassuming eatery by the name of the«Mixed Grill» ! Mixed Grill is a very satisfying, with a selection of Greek/Middle Eastern sandwiches & salads. Its the place for the diner who is calorie conscious. That individual can enjoy because you can get to build your own salad your way The Gyro Platter was to live for with a healthy serving of delicately sliced Gyro layered over a nice warm & toasty fresh Peta bread served with tasiki sauce with your choice of fries, rice or salad. Wash it down with bottomless glasses of ice cold flavored soda also of your choice. You got to have the Baklava Ice Cream for desert if they happen to scope it fresh on the day that your are there. Contrary to the other reviews I thought the service provided by our extremely friendly outgoing server was outstanding !! Hey if Your in the eastern Nassau area of LI and in the mood for Greek salads and sandwiches… Do drop in !!!

My kids and I love this place! It’s great for lunch. The lunch special never disappoints. The bread with tzatziki sauce is yummy. The fries are amazing and crispy to dip into the sauce too. Definitely recommend! ^_^

My colleagues had been to this place so I decided that last Friday I wanted to be in the ‘mix’…aaaaahahahahah Any way… I wish I would have decided to vote on going somewhere else. I love Greek food, who doesn’t love a good Gyro. The pricing was good for a lunch special — came with a salad or soup and side(fries, broccoli, rice). First the waiter seemed to be bothered by having to be there and in a rush. I get timing is crucial for lunch crowds but at least let us finish ordering before walking off. At our table we ordered chicken gyros, chicken sluovaki and falafel… not one of the orders looked yummy when it arrived. The chicken was pail, the broccoli looked like giants trees and was soaked in oil. Fries were good but that’s the frying oil and ketchup. Not coming back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else either!

It takes a lot for me to complain about a meal ALLNIGHTLONG, but this place made it easy. I’m not even complaining about the service — it was the food. GROSS. I ordered a chicken souvlaki and I swear, 5 minutes later, it was out on the table. That’s just too fast. The chicken was dry and flavorless. It tasted days old. The pita and its toppings were all slapped on, without any sort of thought. To top it all off, I discovered a dead fly in my soda glass midway through the meal. To say this meal was horrendous would be an understatement. Never ever again.

I have mixed feelings about this place. get it???(sorry) I’ve always ordered takeout so haven’t experienced their infamous bad service, but I know the guy that everyone is talking about(very overweight man who sits by the counter a lot). He’s rude and sweats everywhere(probably into the food). Part of the reason why i don’t come here more often is because I feel like I’m annoying him by getting takeout. Anyway, food is pretty good. Not the best especially when you got better places to eat like La Piazza, Town Bagel, and Wong’s Noodle Town in the same shopping center, but definitely can do a lost worse. Their greek pizza is very good. I got greek fries I believed it was called and it was just french fries with a small amount of feta and lemon(lame, although not bad tasting). Most things I eat her are good, but not good enough for me to want to deal with the rude server.

I was considering not writing about the Mixed Grill, but the public has to know. I’ve given them a few chances, but every time they disappoint my mouth on most accounts. For the eyes, they do an excellent job. I like how most of the kitchen is visible and is a part of the dining room. The colors are pleasing, the room is charming to anyone who would walk past or step inside. For my best buds(my taste buds!), the falafel is the worst I’ve ever had. I went out of my comfort zone and brought it up to the manager to give him the benefit of the doubt but he failed, said that is how it is all the time. I can’t imagine anyone ordering this twice. Most other ingredients in their food seem acceptable but none outstanding. It’s like they concentrated mostly on looks and forgot about substance — closely paralleling the website with broken links and a misspelling. Maybe a salad’s good. But I’m not about to try one.
