The service was so awful I won’t give the tech’s name, but ARA knows who he is. He came to the house a day late. He pulled the dryer away from the wall, took it apart, said he didn’t smell gas, said our vent hose was too narrow, then told my husband to go to Home Depot and buy a dryer vent kit and install it himself. He left the dryer sitting in the middle of the room, didn’t level it and managed to break the start knob. Then he moved on to the washer, pulled it away from the wall, was dismantling it when a second ARA tech called to confirm directions to our house. Tech Two insisted on speaking to Tech One. Tech One put the washer back together and shoved it back against the wall and said there was nothing wrong with it. He wanted to measure our range vent hood, but I told him he wasn’t there for the vent hood, that had been resolved last September. He wanted documentation on it. Half an hour later, with some serious red flags waving, my husband saw him to the door. Within an hour, Tech THREE called and said he was running late but would it be alright if he came to fix the dryer. I told him exactly what had happened with Tech One, and he wondered if the guy was even an employee of theirs. Since there was supposedly nothing wrong with my washer I put in a load of laundry. When it went into the spin cycle, we discovered that when Tech One shoved it against the wall he knocked out the plumbing. The laundry room was flooded and now my homeowners insurance company is sending out an inspector to see if the whole laundry room floor will have to be replaced. My advice? Call anyone else or do it yourself. This is a nightmare I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

Chad was great! He was able to come out the same day and pull a baby sock out of the washer pump.

Great service. Chad was very friendly. He fixed the problem, came back the next day with the parts and charged a very decent price. I would recommend him.

These guys seemed fine initially. I called and they came out pretty quick to diagnose and fix my washer. They came up with something that sounded reasonable and wrote a bill for the $ 50 to diagnose, parts and labor with the cost ending up over $ 200. First they tried to get me to pay on full before the work was done but I only paid $ 50 for the diagnosis and I’d pay the rest when the work was done. They said they ordered the part and even scheduled me to come and repair. When I called to confirm the appointment they said they didn’t get it in yet and would call when the parts came in. They never called back and never finished the work. I wonder if I paid in full if they ever intended on coming back. I would not recommend these guys based on poor and potentially dishonest service.

Our washer shut down on a Sunday with a full load of wet clothes. Go figure. We called Appliance Repair of America and they came out on time as promised. It was a simple and easy fix. They explained the issue in easy to understand terminology and didn’t mind answering questions. The cost to fix the repair was very reasonable especially for a Sunday call. We will definitely be repeat customers if the need arises.
