This is a great bakery, best bolillos I have had go early in the morning to get them fresh, they also make breakfast tortas that are awesome, they have different ones to choose from, tamales and one of the best tasting champurado in LA, And of course the sweet bread just as good

I come here for the tamales. It’s a hit & missed. When it’s good it’s good but when it’s bad it’s bad. The place is not consistent with their prices. I have three different people charge me three different prices for the same piece of bread(range from 1.95−0.90) AND sometimes theres tax & sometimes theres not???

If you come here for one reason, it’s gotta be the bolillos! They’re, by far, the best I’ve had from any panaderia. La Potosina is proof that the best food comes from hole-in-the-wall places. You won’t know this place is here unless you’re looking for it, but once you try the pan from here there’s no turning back.

Where else but on Unilocal will you find a review of a humble little Mexican bakery from«the hood». I love it. Being a Pico Rivera native I have to express my loyalty and admiration for Duran’s Bakery. They make great Pandulce(Mexican Sweet Bread) but I’m gonna have to say that Potosina has Duran’s beat in the Bollilo department. I made this discovery on Easter Sunday. I was on my way to a family gathering and I stopped by Duran’s only to learn that they had run out of Bollilos. My next option was to go to nearby La Potosina to see if they had any. To my surprise not only did they have some but they were the freshest, most delicious Bollilos I have ever had. I don’t know what it is about them but they are just better.
