This actually might be the worst gel manicure I’ve ever received. Two stars because she’s nice and the gals I’m with got great pedicures, but this gel… Epic bad.
First of all, it’s one girl who booked three of us, so she rushed through my gel. I had to point out several spots she missed and wasn’t going to go over. She got the gel got all over the wells of my nails and she cured it that way, so that looks awful. Then during the hand massage, she used oil after putting the rubbing alcohol solution over my nails so she just rubbed the alcohol onto my hands for about 10 seconds. All together it lasted minutes, very rushed, unpleasant, and had terrible results.

My best friend and I went to Top Nails yesterday for a fun day. When we got there we were greeted right away which was nice. My friend got the regular full set acrylics and I got the same thing but with a white tip. I also asked for a design but they forgot about it so I had to ask again and when the lady did the design she got nail polish on my fingers and messed up on my nails. The design on my nail didn’t even look like the design I wanted! Also the clear coat the put on my nail is now a dull color and has bubbles in it after 1 day. All in all I would suggest this place because of it’s low prices and variety of nail colors.

I have been coming here for about 6 months now and I have yet to be disappointed! I never wait, the chairs are decent and my pedicures last at least 2 weeks in the summer (longer in the winter!). The massages could be a bit longer and better, but for the price this place is on top!

Favorite pedicure place in Petaluma. They do a great job and have reasonable prices.

I am absolutely in love with this nail salon!
First of all, Kim always does an amazing job with my nails. She takes her time and pays close attention to detail. Also, she is incredibly kind and friendly. She cares very deeply about her customers. For example, I’m a total clutz and messed up one of my nails on my car door and she repainted the nail, top coat and all, for free!
Second, their prices are awesome. It’s only $ 25 for a full set of acrylics, and they last a long time. They have a huge selection of colors in both regular and gel, and I haven’t had mine ever chip.
All in all, this is my favorite salon to go to. I would recommend it to all my friends and family.

Went here for the first and last time a few weeks ago for a mani/​pedi.
I’m giving 1 star as both the man and woman who worked with me
were very friendly and the lower leg massage was excellent! They
cut my toe nails VERY short — uncomfortably short– I am still waiting
for them to grow back. Also, when doing mani they cut my cuticle area
causing me to bleed.

Giving this place even one star is a stretch. By far the worst mani/​pedi I’ve ever had. The facility in general is not very well kept. I only went because I had an hour to kill before I was allowed to tan near by (24 hour rule). Anyway, during my pedicure, the tools she was using were so dull they were ripping my skin. She made my toe bleed twice.
Then, during removal of my gel polish for my manicure, she used HER FINGERNAILS to scrape the gel off my fingers, not the proper instruments! GROSS! Then, proceeded to use both a file and buffer that were so worn they were ineffective (worn boards and buffers = Old, not sanitary) and my nails were uneven and misshaped. She also made 3 of my fingers bleed. It was disgusting and painful and I’m seriously considering calling the health department.

I remember years ago when this place was mediocre at best, but now…
This place is amazing! They always do a terrific job, prices are fair, and the service is beyond friendly! I get my nails done here all the time. They always pay super attention to detail; and are willing to do whatever off the wall idea I come up with. The wait time is usually very minimal too.
My daughter also gets her brows waxed here and they turn out beautiful every time!
I have nothing negative to report on Top Nails.
I have a fill appt today and can’t wait to get in there! :)

Love this place, best kept secret in Petaluma. Kim and Linda are amazing, Linda gave me the best massage. I bring my 5 year old daughter here and they are so sweet to her and do her nails perfectly. We did our nails for Halloween and they look awesome! The massage chairs are great too.

Kym does amazing eyebrows! Also, I have never had to wait to get mine done. Pretty good for pedicures and manicures, but the tubs for the pedis are not the removable kind, and that kind of worries me.

Great service. The owner Kim is so friendly and shared with me her stories growing up in Vietnam. She was very patient and took her time. She did an amazing job on my nails. When I find a place with great people and great service I stay loyal. I urge everyone to come here and do the same! :-)

UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP! Kim is AMAZING!!! I am a super picky person when it comes to my nails and Kim has always been so easy to work with! She always has a smile on and greets me on a first name basis. Top Nails has over 70 glitter acrylic colors to choose from and their prices are MORE than fair! $ 40 for a full glitter set! The technicians take they’re time and make an effort to engage in conversation. I always have special requests and they are always more than happy to oblige. I really cant say enough positive things about this salon! I pass out thei r cards and recommend them to alk my family and friends! You will not be disappointed! They hace 3D nail art too! The options are endless!!! By the way Kim is remodeling the whole salon in January 2014!!!

I used to go to this place and will never go back!!! My nails would lift after a week and the workers like to talk to each other in their foreign language than talk to their customers in English! The tv is distracting and shouldn’t be in the salon since most of the time it’s on topics that either are in their foreign language or on something that is not related to salon material! When I got a pedicure I would end up with ingrown toe nails and be tender for days! I didn’t feel like a valued customer and they raised the price on me because I didn’t leave a tip the second to last time I was there. After my poor experience I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. They even use unsanitary tools along with tools that are deemed illegal according to state board to be used in a salon atmosphere!

Didn’t like atmosphere or the results of my white tips. Overpriced!

Never going back! The only reason why I came here is because my usual nail salon was about to close. All the workers were so concentrated on talking to each other they weren’t focusing on their work.
I went for a pedicure & the lady stabbed my toe with one of her tools.(while she was talking to her friend) I almost kicked her in the face as a reaction to the pain.
So I basically paid $ 27 for a French tip pedicure and to get hurt!
& my toe still hurts! I recommend MAGIC NAILS in Petaluma!

I love this place, I see old posts on here so I thought I would post a newer one! This place is great! my future mother-​in-​law has been getting her nails done here for years and years and has always loved them! I recently started going and loved my pedicure! Also got my acrylics done recently and loved them too! The prices are also GREAT! If you want your nails done in Petaluma this is the place I would recommend.

This place only rates ONE STAR. Tried this place out spur of the moment and now I wish they didn’t have time for my mani/​pedi.
Both the ladies that worked on me didn’t pay appropriate attention to their task. They had their eyes glued to the TV the entire time. I had to endure a Vietnamese channel (I don’t understand the language) and watch an upsetting scene play out across the screen repeatedly. Some people were beating up a man. A mani/​pedi should be relaxing and it wasn’t.
The manicurist actually hurt me a bit and a week later my fingers are red and raw at the cuticles and below. I’ve never had that happen before. One of my fingernails was still hanging off and it tore off after I left.
I always instruct how I want my nails done — the cut, size, etc. The pedicurist left sharp corner nails so when they started growing in, it was painful. I had to get another pedicure earlier than usual because of the pain.
Also, they used a nail polish that was so watered down it was ridiculous. Just buy a new one.
I notice that Danielle P. the review on 6÷29÷10 says that we shouldn’t badmouth them if WE are unsure of what is being done. Uh… it’s a manicure and pedicure, it’s pretty clear what SHOULD be done… it’s not that difficult. Do what you are trained to do.
Except when the manicurist can’t get it right, either from plain laziness or ineptitude and this salon is guilty of both.
I will never go back here and do not recommend it.
Also, they allowed a customer to bring her dog in the salon and it ran around and sat with her on the pedi chair. I’m pretty sure that’s against California regulations. Just another reason not to go there again.

I used to love this place until folks left an then they installed a TV that they watch all the time instead of customer service. The TV is super annoying when I am trying to relax. They also damaged my nails so bad that it too me a year to have they grow normal. Taking off acrylics should NOT make your nails bleed. They do have great Pedicure chairs but I have also gotten 2 foot infections from them. I miss the old days :(
