Brought him a hefty 14k ring that lost its stone. He narrowed the shank unevenly and TOOK over 5 grams of gold off the ring! To which he said he polished it… and added a new finish…(That was not what I asked for or paid for) and he did it for his own(polish tray) benefit $… at $ 25 per gram… Moreover, the stone he replaced fell out again… ring doesn’t look or feel the same… I cant even look at it without getting totally distraught… felt taken by his polishing wheel greed… plus the $$ I paid him to just reset the stone!!! never again with this guy… wish I read Unilocal before I went to this guy.

From the moment I walked in here, I knew that I wanted Rocklin to make my ring. Easygoing but attentive help, a truly lovely and unique selection of options, gorgeous jewelry all contributed to my decision. After we had put some time into designing a ring, we looked around a little but no where else did I get a feeling that I got at Rocklin: that this was a person who would truly make my special ring with care. He made sure it was what we wanted without ever upselling anything. The stones he found for us are simply gorgeous. Plus, it was so lovely to do business with a real local long-time business owner. There is something different about doing business with your neighbors rather than someone who doesn’t care as much, in a giant chain. Yes, this is a small shop but what is in there is truly spectacular and the service is outstanding, honest and high quality. I’m so glad we went with Rick and give Rocklin my highest recommendation.

My fiancé and I had a great experience at Rocklin Jewlery. We wanted very simple white gold wedding bands, and were having difficulties with other jewelry stores due to pushy salespeople(I had one lady elsewhere actually tell me I should buy TWO bands to go with my antique engagement ring… ridiculous). We went into Rocklin on a whim one day, not expecting to buy anything, and we left the store that day with our bands! Mine was handmade and hand-engraved by the owner, and we could tell that he was very proud of his work. And it fit perfectly next to my 1920’s engagement ring! The owner said he made it specifically for people with estate jewelry. His prices were right in line with what we wanted to spend($ 200-$ 300 range) and the rings we got were beautiful and classic. The owner is a friendly, humble craftsman who cares deeply about his work and it shows. My fiancé and I are very happy with our rings and our experience at Rocklin.

My husband purchased his wedding ring and had the owner design and make a necklace for me as a wedding gift. Both were very special and unique but not too expensive. After two years we are still very happy with our jewelry and highly recommend this shop. We wouldn’t go anywhere else.

My wife and I were searching for the perfect wedding ring for her about 2 months ago. I didn’t have much of a budget so our first stop was a Zale’s. She found one that she loved but I convinced her to check out a couple local shops before we went ahead with the purchase. We sat at one local jeweler in Petaluma who just about laughed us out the door when I let her know my budget. After leaving there and feeling dejected I almost decided to skip Rocklin and go straight back to Zales but my wife convinced me to go in and look. Rick was very helpful in helping us find the absolute perfect ring. It was slightly more expensive than the ring at Zales but much more elegant and I felt a lot better about spending my hard earned money in a locally owned shop. Rick even let me put the ring on layaway so that I could put a downpayment and pick the ring up after my next pay check. Upon picking the ring up, he was very grateful for our business and he shook my hand and thanked me for letting him be a part of our marriage. Thank you Rick for making the ring process amazing and perfect!

Took my ring to have it re-shanked and when I got it back it looked horrible… the shank was wavey, the diamond head was crooked, even though he said he did not touch the head… when confronted with how or why it looked the way it did, he thought it looked fine. I had consulted two other jewelers and they were appalled that the ring left the shop looking like it did. When I asked for partial reimbursement he asked me to leave…

Really beautiful vintage-looking rings. This is a very very small shop(about the size of a walk-in closet) but I saw one or two rings I’d recommend to anyone shopping for something really special. I didn’t actually buy anything, so I can only give it four stars for now, but I have a really good feeling about it, because when I took a card and said I’d recommend to a friend he thanked me.
