I wasn’t surprised when I read other reviews about workers too busy socializing… im standing there at the pick up counter waiting for my breakfast sandwich which took over 10 mins to make. When I received it, the egg white was all over the place… as if the egg had exploded in the microwave and they just continued to wrap it and serve it. I wanted to see why my food was taking so long having an almost empty seating area so I overheard the workers having the dumbest conversations. «If your name was blah blah what would you do? What if your name was blah blah? Oh man i don’t know what I’d do.» seriously?

I love Panera don’t get me wrong, but two times in a row I place my order online for rapid pick-up so I can just pick it up during my lunch hour and they forget something. Once they forgot my blueberry muffin, but the second time I ordered a Chicken salad and THEYFORGOTTHECHICKEN. If you try calling them to let them know they expect you to return for the missing item, which who has time for that during their lunch rush. I might go back, but this time make sure that ALL my items are their before I leave this place.

Workers to busy socializing to communicate or prepare food properly. Cashier was in another world and seemed clueless. Personality lacking. Dirty floors and no one in the place…

This was the 3rd time I have ordered from Panera, Petaluma for meetings. I’m very satisfied. One of the items that I have reordered was their fruit salad. It is very fresh, so was everything else though. They package everything up in a big carry bag. They include paper plates, utensils, serving spoons, everything you need. I will continue to order from them.

Ordered the $ 4.29 steel-cut oatmeal w/fresh strawberries and pecans. Needs to be served hotter. Also when putting it in the bowl, try not to let the oatmeal remain in the shape of the container it came in(ie, probably some frozen plastic bag). Try to make it look like a flat bowl of piping oatmeal instead of a multi-folded piece of dogcrap. Also when slicing the fresh strawberries into the oatmeal, how about excluding all the floating little green petals? How about putting an ounce of care into the presentation and preparation of your food? Just a skosh would be appreciated. How do I own stock in this corp?

not a great first time experience. i ordered my food, and the cashier took like 5 minutes to finish charging me. when she finally did she went over where my food was and it was gone. someone else had taken it. i did get my refund… but they couldn’t remake my food. She said«sorry. can’t really do anything.» I won’t be coming back again.

It’s classic Panera, excellent food with great service. This location seems quieter than others I have been to. Always helpful staff. It’s a regular spot for us.

This is probably the best Panera location in Sonoma County. I’ve been here a handful of times, but each time has been a pleasant experience. Things I’ll notice right away about an establishment is the following: clean glass on the entrance doors, cleanliness of the floors, eating areas & kitchen, and the attitude of the wait staff. The staff here is great, I’ve even talked to the people who are making the food and they’re super friendly too. Always clean, and the quality of the food is consistent. All those delicious carbs though.

I have been to many Panera Breads and the food quality is all consistent. The service was good, location was clean, and the patio area was nice to sit at on a sunny day.

I have never had a bad experience here. Food is always cooked right and delicious. The staff is what really pulls the place together. I could be having the worst day and they are always warm and welcoming. From the cashiers to the people who make the food i always see smiles and it’s truly refreshing to see so many happy helpful people in one spot. The panera card is also worth getting! It’s free! Fill it out online and your good to go. I love getting my coupons, I don’t even have to keep track the computer prints the cashiers when I have one available.

This is the most expensive Panera Bread location I have ever been in. I’m pretty sure the prices are higher here even than the one near Union Square in NYC. It also has a slightly wonky menu for the basics. The standard stuff on the menu since it was still called St. Louise Bread Co. in Missouri when I was in college. My turkey sandwich was weird and lacking. We were excited to hit it up for lunch while in the US as we’re both fans of the place, but both left a little perplexed as to what this one has done with the idea Panera we both know well. Lunch was alright, though.

We kind of got burnt out on Panera because we went there all the time. We came back today and I tried the flat bread bbq chicken sandwich and it was pretty good! The black bean soup was ok. One of my big complaints at Panera was when ordering a sandwich the menu shows there is an option with it and they would rarely ask you if you wanted an apple, chips or bread and just give more bread… like who needs more carbs to go with your sandwich? Today they asked and I got the apple.

Had a great experience. They didn’t have more of the bread I wanted but they offered to make it for me. But then discovered they had run out of dough. I wasn’t angry but they gave me different bread instead. They were genuine and nice.

WHATHAPPENEDTOTHEBREAD? I haven’t been to a Panera Bread in MANYYEARS due to moving in an area where we don’t have them. Panera Bread used to offer some of the tastiest bread you ever had anywhere. I used to like a bread they made with lots of whole grains in it. What happened to the great tasting salads? I used to get this salad made with Filet Mignon and some kind of Blue Cheese that was delicious with lots of fresh vegetables, real fruit and nuts. They don’t offer that salad anymore and I thought I’d try a Combo plate of ½ Thai Chicken Salad and a Chicken Thai Flat bread. The Flat Bread was served to me half soggy and the other half was hard as a cracker. The sandwich was unappealing to me and had thick cilantro hummus smeared in it and was revolting to me but I note other people might like it. The salad part was better than the sandwich and would have been OK except for the very chemical tasting dressing. The chicken in the salad tasted like natural chicken and was a surprise. The(what I think) were peanuts were tasteless and had a very strange texture. They gave me a chunk of Baguette Bread that was fresh but very similar to supermarket bread and was disappointing since I remember Panera Bread used to give you a choice of Artisan Bread. For me Panera Bread is a step up from McDonalds, Burger King, Subway, or Taco Bell kinds of places but Panera Bread isn’t what it used to be for sure.

I’ve been to a few Paner’a’s before and was hopeful for this. It wasn’t great. My wife ordered while I went to get a table. I had to search out four tables before I found a clean one. IT was pretty disgusting. All it would’ve taken was a quick wipe down. Our orders were in correct and the food was average at best. Way too expensive for sub par food and filthy tables

A solid 4 plus stars for this Panera, new to Petaluma and IMHO better than the other Paneras around the North Bay.(see update below) The premises are well kept(of course, they just opened) and it is laid out so that each dining party has some amount of privacy. There are seatings for 2, 4, and 6 plus the several outdoor tables, but not suitable on a cold evening. One interesting note; my wife visited the handicap restroom, and reported NOPAPER. Oh oh, big mistake, no? She then mentioned that fact to one of the employees, and they immediately sent a runner to put more paper in the room. I mean, immediately. Kudos for that type of response. Food was excellent; I had the clam chowder, plus the Asian sesame chicken salad. Wife the creamy tomato soup, plus a roasted turkey and avocado BLT. All four items were delicious and well prepared. This comes with a roll and butter. Parking is going to be easy, as it sits in the new Target shopping center(named«East Washington Place»). 10÷1÷2013 My return visit picked up a glaring problem with one menu choice. I ordered«iced coffee», how could that go wrong? Here is the process they tell you. You take a large cup, go to the dispenser, fill it with ice, then pour the contents from the carafe that says«iced coffee». You then pour that over your ice. What you get is really old(and probably discarded) coffee of an indeterminate variety on your ice. It was undrinkable, believe me. Bitter, and a little acidic. I poured it out down the drain, and then got some(free) water to rinse my mouth out. My advice to management(and Panera corporate); let the customer choose what coffee he want from the carafes up front by the register, not the dreaded«iced coffee» dispenser back by the fountain drinks. I will never order an iced coffee again, unless they change the method. I am going to deduct a star down to 3 11/30/2013 Oops, the three stars now becomes only 2+. Panera is slipping, and not in the right direction. Tonights’ dinner was, well, kinda bad. Small servings, salad with mostly lettuce and nothing else, scrawny sandwich, and a screwed up order to boot. I’m gonna go only one more time, after that I will find a better place to eat. The only bright spot was the soup, and that would be hard to screw up. ‘Nough said. 3÷15÷2014 Another visit, but apparently management did not get the memo on sentiments on keeping the place CLEAN. Still uncleared dishes, debris on the floor, etc. However, the onion soup was wonderful and the Caesar salad was superb. This, back to three stars but for goodness sake clean the place up, please! The only reason to keep coming back is the food. So, I guess I have to live with going to Panera even though it is still lacking. 5÷30÷2014 Another visit, as I cannot resist the great food. I noticed, on my umpteenth visit, that the premises are clean(we, almost), the food fresh and good, and with this level of consistency I am back to my original 4 star rating. Well played, Panera!
