It’s unsatisfactory how early this location closes. Many military personnel want to come here to enjoy good coffee after they get out of school/off work but it is never open late enough. Plus the website says 5:00pm, not 4:30. I love badass coffee but this location just closes to early. Being closed on the weekend isn’t the best business move either.

I walked in this morning very excited about finding a local coffee shop near campus, and I could not believe that after 5 minutes I still us not seen an employee. There were three people out side smoking, but I am unsure if they were employees or not. I couldn’t not believe that with the slow business they were having, I am assuming this by all of the empty chairs, that no one was jumping to help a customer. Sadly I am still on the hunt for great local coffee near campus.

Great name, cool looking location, decent coffee. Came here on a whim after reading the reviews, which overall should be higher but for a one star review which I ignored. Of course, with a name like«Bad Ass», how could you not want to give it a try? Bad Ass is part of a rather small chain of coffee shops, with several locations around the country and in Japan. Marketing on its catchy name and its association with Hawaiian Kona coffee, you can purchase various t-shirts, mugs, coffee bean, asses(donkey) etc. Kind of kitchy, but I like kitchy. So is it all about the name? Mostly. I asked for a cup(20 oz) of the 100% Kona coffee. However, I was disappointed to learn that 100% Kona is only offered a couple days a week(Monday and Tuesday?) but that the rest of the time they only offer Kona blends. To me, this is a marketing mistake as there will always be people willing to pay a premium for coffee.(Eg overpriced Starbucks) Not really happy with the blend offered, I took it as my friend and I had a meeting to get to. The blend was ok. Both of us felt that the coffee was nothing really to write home about or criticize. A decent cup of coffee which I would stop by to get if I happen to be driving by, but nothing beyond that.

Right off Underwood ave is a diamond in the rough known as Bad Ass Coffee. Quality selection of Hawaiian coffee, the Kona is as good as it gets. They used to had multiple locations but I just learned most of them if not all closed down. It’s too bad. This is a terrific coffee shop with limitless potential. Would I prefer Bad Ass over a Starbucks or Dunkin? Without question.

I have been into Bad Ass a few times. I love the fun flavors I their various iced lattes, especially the chocolate-banana one.(The name escapes me. Monkey something?) However, I felt the beverages were overpriced for the sizes, and most times I have been there the one staff member they’ve had working has been incredibly rude.(There is one who is nice, I think she’s the owner.) The place is often empty or just about, and the décor is lacking in enthusiasm. When I tried to order food off of the menu, they were out of everything that I wanted, and the staff member was hostile towards ME for not ordering something they had! How would I know? When I finally settled on something available, it was mediocre. Good enough coffee though, if that’s what you want, although I don’t recommend the coffee ice. Nasty. Go with plain frozen water.

I first would like to say I love the name of this place… I mean any place named Bad Ass most likely is just that! Soon as I made it to Pensacola this was my first stop. My cousin enjoyed the coffee I on the other hand felt the need to try out some tea from their extensive collection which was very yummy and soothing. We also had a little breakfast of a bacon, egg and cheese croissant. Also, a biscuit with the same on top. The lady working the front and the back was very sweet even when she got frustrated with my cousin’s indecisiveness. Comfy environment, tiki coffee shop lol. Even some comfortable couches at this location.

Tried to get coffee, the place looked cool. However this establishment, in their infinite wisdom, has decided not to conduct business on Saturdays. Thus preventing myself and some fellow travelers of procuring any of their beverages. Therefore I can only make assumptions about the quality of their coffee… but if your serious about your hours, how serious about your coffee can you be? Not open on Saturdays?!?, come on!

Pretty awesome décor on the inside with wifi. The lady behind the counter knew her coffee and made me a delicious drink. I forget the name, but it was a double shot poured over chocolate syrup with crème poured in to top it all off. The result was a melt in your mouth strong creamy bold espresso drink. I also had a kona coffee, which was good, but not great. Unless coffee is fresh out of the press, it’s hard to get a good tasting. They have lots of tee-shirts and mugs of the Badass coffee logo. There were nice leather chairs inside and cool murals. Definitely recommend.
