My wife made an appointment for us to see one of the attorneys at this firm re: the process for US citizenship. She chose Wanies-Guirgis because of their website offer of an initial free consultation. On the day of the appt, my wife rang to confirm & got their paging service, which was fine. Common for such businesses to use such a service. So we thought all was well as we arrived at the Beltway/Bissonnet location…15 mins early. Not so. The door to the business was locked and the lights were off. We thought that was unusual but, giving them the benefit of the doubt, we waited… and waited. The 4pm appt time came & went and at about 4:20 when it became apparent he/she/they was/were a ‘no show’, we went too. In the two weeks since that day, we half-expected them to call & apologize. Not so much as a peep. I don’t think it’s unfair to say this firm should be avoided. You’d like to think that a lawyer who may end up representing you would at least turn up to their own business. That’s forgivable; anyone can mix up their schedule. But no return call to apologize? Not forgivable. It’s unreliable, unprofessional & just plain rude. Beware!
