So happy I discovered this place! Pearland doesn’t have many options when it comes to quick delicious breakfast. Working nights I often want dinner foods for breakfast. The brisket tacos are super yummy and a favorite of mine ! Their donuts and apple fritters are awesome as well. Just recently tried the brisket kolache with jalapeños and it is fabulous. Crave it all the time!

Donut options are overwhelming in a good way! I felt like a child in a candy store! The breakfast bowl was okay, not something I would recommend. But I’d come back for the donuts :)

They have great burgers the Hawaiian burger is the bomb. Different times of the day you will receive portions that are smaller fries during lunch and and after rush hour you receive a larger Amway of fries.

After reading all the reviews about this place, I had to come check it out for myself. I came on a weekend, so I expected a line. Well the line was out the door! Some may get discouraged by the line, but to me, it tells me I am in for a treat when I get through the line. It is a small restaurant with a few tables. The line moves quick so be ready to order when you get up to the front. They have a full breakfast menu along with lunch items on their menu. I hear good things about their non lunch items, so I will have to make a separate trip for that. The staff was really friendly and knew how to keep the line moving. They have a pretty impressive display case with all their offerings. It is hard to make a decision once seeing all your options. I ordered a boudin kolache and a few sausage and cheese kolaches. The boudin kolache was enormous! The boudin inside was delicious and had a little kick to it. The bread for both kolaches was really soft and had a slight sweetness to it. I got a little variety of donuts. I especially liked their glazed donuts. If a donut shop can’t perfect a regular glazed donut, they really shouldn’t be open! Next time, I also want to try their brisket kolache, which I heard was amazing.

Love this place! It has a tendency to get a little crowded on weekends so get there early. They have the best pancakes in town, interestingly good donut creations and the best pancakes in town! And the tortilla soup is really good too.

One of the best places in Pearland for kolaches and other different and fun breakfast items like donuts and pastries, as well as breakfast bowls. The person guiding the lines inside is a bit hardcore, but it’s small inside so I get it and she’s polite. Great people, hard working!
Arrived on a Sunday(Mother’s Day) at 8:20am and there wasn’t a line wait for drive-through(less than 10 minutes with two cars ahead of me). I didn’t order anything fancy, one dozen glazed donuts(4⁄5 taste like any other donut) and two brisket jalapeño kolaches. I am not a fan of kolache bread that has some sweetness to it but my boyfriend liked them. He gives them(4⁄5). Brisket kolaches were a little over $ 3 each. I’ve read on here that they only sell those on Saturday and Sunday only. I do plan to go back to try their breakfast tacos.

This will be a review of the following items: bacon doughnut, brisket kolache, dosant Bacon doughnut: essentially a glazed doughnut topped with maple flavored icing and pieces of bacon. It was a little bit too sweet for me, but I think it’s at a sweetness level that most people would like. To give you a frame of reference, I enjoy eating dark chocolate, like the bitter 80% dark chocolate, which most people think I’m insane for. So the doughnut being too sweet wasn’t a huge surprise to me. I do wish however, that the bacon was more crispy. Brisket kolache: it wasn’t stuffed with as much meat as I would’ve liked. In addition, something seemed missing from the filling. Like some sautéed onions, peppers, or ground black pepper even. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. It just needed that extra something. Dosant: maybe if I received one fresh out of the oven, I would rate it better. Since mine was sitting in the display cabinet, I think it lost the flakiness and crispness that you’d expect from a croissant. I was unfortunately underwhelmed, but I would be willing to give it another chance — I just have to visit earlier in the day to buy a fresh one.

Brisket kolaches. That’s it! The best thing ever! The rest of the menu is good too but if you woke up late and they are out of brisket kolaches, just go back to sleep and try again the next day(earlier)

Everytime I go to this place I get excited to see what I’m going to order. I’ve had their breakfast tacos which are really good and their salsa has a kick to it. The doughnuts are just so delicious! I’ve had the chocolate glazed and chocolate filled and they are simply amazing! And this is coming from a person that is not a doughnut fan. I’ve tried the coconut glazed and for a person that is not a huge fan of coconut it was really good. Will definitely keep going!

Big girl(blonde and lots of makeup) is rude, literally almost running into us as we walked into the establishment. I almost turned around to leave, but figured why let some grumpapatomus ruin my breakfast. They sure have changed over the years. Breakfast taco was small, and we ordered the large! Years ago they were DELICIOUS and huge, now they are small and just a «breakfast taco», nothing special. The bacon used to be sooo good and really made the whole taco perfect, but now it’s just regular bacon– and barely any bacon to boot! Donuts were tough. I’m not a huge donut fan but when I get one I want it to be soft and doughy. Theirs are more like French bread, tough dough and not soft at all. For two tacos, the plain donuts and two regular drinks it was $ 20! Getting very expensive for not so great food. We sat right next to the owner, he should have growled at us along with his scowl! I’ve seen him smile before… when Tom Zizka from the news channel was visiting, seriously! But he can’t smile at his paying customers. Very ungrateful businessman. I’ll stick with Shipley’s…

Four words: BLUECHEESEBACONBURGER! OH and yes they have fabulous donuts. But back to the burger! Just like homemade except for the mound of bacon and blue cheese! It was so tasty I nearly lost my mind. Every bite had blue cheese and bacon. They make it to your specifications as well. Unlike some places, no one frowns if you ask them to leave off any ingredients. They bring your order to the table even though it’s technically not a table service place. You get your choice of tater tots or french fries… This time I went with fries because I don’t wanna seem too predictable(obsessive about tots). I washed it down with Dr Pepper although, they do offer coffee and fruit smoothie type drinks. If you sit outside on the patio watch out for the ants… Those little vampires love the food as well! I would say this places ranks up there with Hypnotic Donuts in Dallas. It’s nice to try new places and find a little bit of home at the same time when you travel.

Well, we’ve been reading and hearing about cronuts, so we went online and found Peña’s in Pearland. Unfortunately, we woke up late today and got here after 11 a.m., which means they were down to 2 strawberry cream cheese cronuts. Tried the cronut and a plain glazed donut… yumm. I’m pretty sure they would be outstanding fresh from the oven. Since we we do late we went and had breakfast croissant sandwiches — again, Yum; they were freshly prepared. We met the owner’s sister, Josie, she was an absolute delight… very warm and hospitable… and she’s a hugger! I highly recommend this place for its hospitality, cleanliness, and extensive menu of breakfast and lunch items.

This place is my favorite donut place to get a thick maple bacon donut. This is the best maple donut I’ve had. Do yourself a favor if you want and buy an extra one or two. No regrets :)! It’s a great quickie stop on the way to Killens BBQ. You have to get there super early for the cronut type donuts. They sell out very quick. Nice place to eat in also. Was clean the times I went. Service a-ok. Unilocal Review #347

So I was finally in the area to stop and get some of the breakfast which I’ve heard so much about. I went through the drive thru, it was about 30 minutes to get to the window, and they were out of a lot of things so I had to revamp my order that I had based on Unilocal reviews. There have no menu prior to you getting to the window, so if it’s your first time here I suggest that you go inside or read Unilocal reviews. I just quickly ordered something because of the line already taking so long. I got the bacon egg and cheese taco and also the brisket taco; I originally wanted the brisket kolache that being what was raved about most besides of tacos but they ran out so being that the BBQ still coming from the killens I was excited to still try the taco version. The verdict is in I must say it was pretty good I will be returning for sure — the line. Is so long I might have to do the call in order which was suggested also in the Unilocal reviews but it was really good I would like to try other things there but I would definitely get that brisket taco again I’m not even sure I want to try a famous brisket kolache but I definitely will get the brisket taco again, the bacon egg and cheese taco it was okay had a lot of egg in it so if you’re a big egg person you would love it.

Not coming back. Went around 10am on Saturday and it was pretty crowded with no empty tables, thankfully I was ordering to-go and there were only 3 people in front of me. Service-slow! Those 3 people in front of me still caused me to wait at least 7 minutes when there were 2 registers open. It looked like all the people behind the counter were bumping into each other like it was their first day open! The girl taking my order was confused and a gentleman had to come and help. I had asked for a brisket kolache and they had to go in the back to check, took a couple minutes before I got an answer! The donuts were awful. Bavarian crème-crème had a pudding like texture but absolutely no taste. The dough was tough and not soft :(it was sadly thrown away without being finished, why eat calories for no taste?! Chocolate coconut– this is one of my favorite flavor combinations that was ruined with this donut. Again, tough dough and NO chocolate flavor. I ate the frosting off the top that had coconut flakes and then discarded the rest. Maple bacon-mediocre. It was overly sweet and there are much better maple bacon donuts out there. The only saving grace was the BRISKETKOLACHE. Delicious! A lot of meat(it was almost $ 4 so I would expect as much) that was flavorful and tender. Not worth the trip, disappointed. A lot of people seemed to be enjoying the donut breakfast sandwich, but by the looks of it only order it if you want to clog your arteries quickly…

The portions are a little inconsistent… I ordered a $ 3 Taco with Egg, Chorizo and Cheese. My friend order a Breakfast Bowl with Potato, Ham and Cheese for $ 5. The bowl was slightly smaller than my $ 3 Taco and sans Tortilla. So the Taco was a great deal and the Bowl was a terrible deal. To make a bad deal worse, there was a long black hair in his Breakfast Bowl. The food runner apologized a few times and had it remade, as did the manager who overheard. Now, I’m not one to think I should get free stuff every time there’s an error with my food but I feel like they could have offered him a Donut? Especially because he decided to get a Donut after his breakfast and they still went to the trouble of charging him the 88 cents for it. Perhaps I’m out of line but that would have gone a long way and would definitely increase our likelihood of returning. However, I’m less inclined to return because a bad experience wasn’t made into a great experience. Yes, they addressed the overall issue but they had a large opportunity to show great customer service and care. Making a bad experience into a great experience goes further than just having a great experience. 3 stars because they give servicemen half off their meals and I think that’s legit.

Ive had a few things from here and Ive really enjoyed it all. The Hawaiian burger was great. It was a tad different than most, they put avocado on it. Their fries are pretty good, theyre actually pretty great. The Queso burger was delicious and juicy also. They even have salads here! The cobb salad has great crispy bacon, Its so good. Their donuts are just regular donuts, nothing to write home about. Sure they have fancy toppings but its just a plain donut. The apple fritters are really tasty! The kolache with brisket in them is the best thing they serve. It is my favorite thing they serve here. Their breakfast tacos are huge and quite tasty. One thing I didn’t care for was the owner walking around giving samples of possible new items. That part was fine, the part I didn’t like was him hovering over you until you said it was good. other than that, this place is one of my favorite spots for breakfast and lunch.
