No Halal Meat served. Please check meat source. Different responses given when inquiry was made. Owner said meat was from Green Valley Halal. I reached out to Green Valley and they declined supplying halal meat to them. Please consider your Muslim clientele, especially in Pearland. Word spreads quick and halal is important.

NOTHALAL. This place claimed they get their meat from Green Valley Halal. They gave us this answer for over a year until we reached out to Green Valley Halal meat distributor. Here is their response: «We do not sell any products to Swadeshi. That business used to buy from us. But there was a change in ownership in October 2013. They didn’t buy anything from us since then but claim that they do.» If you are interested, you may contact Green Valley yourself and clarify. Then they gave some other name like Harris County halal mean, Hayat mean, etc. They claim they get their meat from different places??? I have lost compete trust in them.

I don’t know much about Indian food, but I’ve stopped in a few times and stocked up on pita bread, frozen party food(samosas and flavored naan etc.), and was impressed with the produce section. It’s not huge but great prices and giant veggies. Also I’ve bought some toiletries(hair conditioners, soaps). They have nice to go warm snacks like samosas and you can order off a menu if you know what you want? I’m sure we’d like everything; need to try more soon. Friendly checkout service; they don’t make you feel dumb if you don’t understand their products.

Went into the little restaurant they have attached to the store and did not have the best experience. I walked up to the counter and the employee totally ignored me until I said something. He was not helpful or friendly. Once I ordered, I said I wanted the meal for there, but they brought it out in a to-go bag. Also, when I paid, he did not have enough change and out of frustration I said just said don’t worry about it. He didn’t even apologize. The only reason I’m giving this place two stars is that the food was decent. However, the portions were extremely small and the naan wasn’t of good quality. Definitely not worth the money. I’ve had much better Indian food. It’s not the good place to dine-in, but maybe a better for takeout. I think I’m being quite generous to give two stars, but certainly won’t be back.

very good curries for carry out. i have not had a bad meal from them. I wish the naans were a little thicker and more absorbent though. My favorite is teh butter chicken and saag paneer.
