Last night my girlfriend and I dined at Rudi’s. We had the infamous Groupon that many have purchased and several Unilocalers have stated problems trying to use. I’m happy to report that there were no dilemmas faced redeeming it. Well, I will say that Rudi’s doesn’t honor it on nights with live music, and any entrée above $ 12 can’t be bought with the Groupon(our waitress was able to work around this, though we had to pay a few extra dollars, but I’ll explain). Rudi’s has a small town bar vibe in that it feels like everyone there knows each other. It’s more bar than restaurant, but offers up a good menu of food. The drinks aren’t bad either as the beers on tap are pretty extensive for a smaller place(the Groupon gets you two drinks so we had a couple of quality craft beers). We began with the appetizer sampler which consists of mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers, rib wings, and fried raviolis. I was surprised they let us purchase that with the Groupon, but was glad they did as each item was tasty and it was served with a few nice sauces. We then both ordered burgers(The Marcus Stroman and the Tony«OHNO» Romo) which were priced above the $ 12 limit. Our waitress explained that she could put in the order as a cheaper burger and then add the extra ingredients, though it would cost us a few extra dollars. For some, this might be annoying, but the deal is so great it’s worth paying a little more. As for the taste of the burgers, they hit the spot with all the interesting toppings(onion ring, coleslaw, bacon, cheese) placed on it. The burger itself was cooked well though the meat wasn’t anything special. Overall I would return again(I’m interested in Tuesday’s wing night) especially to watch some sports and have some beers.

This is actually more of a 3.5 stars. Came here with a Groupon got a pretty nice deal. I don’t think I’d come pay full price for the appetizer I got, especially the appetizer($ 12 for the sampler). The burgers here are really good. That’s probably the only thing that’s worth it. They included about $ 9 of tips onto my check with the Groupon, a bit more than I’d pay normally, but I still ended getting a decent deal for the amount of food and beer.

After waiting for over an hour watching people getting served who arrived much later than we did we were informed by the bartender/no business being a waitress«if I take ten orders and stick them up I have no control over which one is taken first». I guess she never heard of «first come, first serve». When we finally got our combo platter… Two over cooked«pork wings», two empty fried ravioli, two bland jalapeño poppers served with… blue cheese? And mozzarella sticks served with what tasted like spruced up ketchup. For $ 12.00 bucks you’d expect a lot more. What a waste of money and an hour and a half!

Rudi’s is a bar. Let’s just get that out of the way. I had a Groupon for dinner and went looking for a cheap meal and that is what we got. The burgers are very good! They have Ok service but the place is a disaster, It’s not clean, run down and the perfect dive bar. I actually like it there! The music was blasting and too loud for even the 20 somethings but it is what it is. They have a great beer menu and the staff is almost friendly! Oh yea with the groupon and only two people we still ended up spending $ 47, and left sober. They itemized everything on the bill that the«groupon did not cover», what? We ordered exactly what the groupon stated! Can you say scam! All in all there are so many good restaurants in the area! Don’t waste your calories or waste them, it’s up to you.

Bought the Groupon to try this place out. I should have looked at pictures before I did. This is a BAR. It’s trying to be a food place but they aren’t there yet. The burger wasn’t bad but its not a place to bring your family for dinner. Which is what I assumed it was. The benches are pitched forward so you slide out of your seat. Folding chairs and card tables. This is one of those places… Bobby and Johnny pooled their money and opened a bar. Not a franchise with standards. The worst thing is that we all got sick. And if the front of the house is dirty than you imagine what the back looks like. One phrase. «Rudi’s equals doodies» Eat at your own risk.

Tried this place on a groupon. It was nicer than expected a real regular place, when strangers walked in everybody looked up to see. Like who are these two? Nice selection of beers. My husband had the burger he said it was good. I had a buffalo chicken wrap all lettuce and bread should have said«where’s the chicken’» the shrimp appetizer was a $ 1 up charge that was reduculous. I guess they need to get smaller baskets. Other than the beer didn’t really break any diets with eating too mych

Had a groupon. We went a couple of months ago. It’s a bar with some tables on the side. The bartender was the waitress too. It was very busy when we went. She was nice but I think she could of used some help. The burgers were very good.

The food here is awesome! Looks like a dive bar when you first walk in but pleasantly surprised! Clean and good southern food. Felt like I was in Nashville!

The bartending staff is phenomenal. I have never had a bad time here. The beer is always fresh and I have never had a complaint about the food. The beer is never overpriced and the food is reasonable as well. No one I Patchogue beater their wing night. I hope this place stays a local Patchogue par for years to come!

Great service! Great prices! Go on Groupon to find their amazing deal! I got 2 meals 2 beers and 1 appetizer for $ 10 not $ 10 a person just $ 10!

Awesome burgers, great for lunch, that’s the only time I’ve been here. They have lots of tvds, jukebox, pool tables, and darts. Its the good kind of dive bar, not dirty or nasty, food is excellent.

I bought a $ 15 groupon which included 2 beers, an app, and 2 entrees. I will say I would have been very disappointed if I had been paying full price. We ordered 2 bud light drafts and the temperature was cool at best. The mozzarella sticks were pretty good — no complaints. My friend ordered the pulled pork sandwich, which apparently comes with a big helping of Cole slaw right on top that we didn’t know about. After scraping the cole slaw off my friend said the sandwich was ok. I ordered a burger which was ok as well. Overall, I would not go back there and pay full price for food. Staff was attentive and friendly though.

My Third time here. I came with a groupon. I had good times here previously. This time was great as well until the bill. The staff turned insane groupon lawyer on us! They tried various tactics to beat me out of it. One second they’re marking it redeemed, the next saying that the fine print says I need to notify them when I order so they don’t have to honor it. Nightmare! My friend was appalled and I looked like an idiot for using a groupon at all! The overall effect was the staff turned a carefree dinner and drinks into a «gotcha» moment! I felt as if they were protecting themselves from me! The whole experience blew me away! No thanks! I was there drinking first and the groupon was later. The long and the short of it is that they beat me for two hamburgers because they were two dollars more than they wanted to cover. So, rather than just charge me the four bucks they opted to beat me for thirty! Nice! Class act! The bill was substantial either way, as I see it he chased a free spending repeat customer out for the price of two burgers. I wouldn’t show my face in there again in my life. I was treated as if I was some scammer and they had to «batten down the legal hatches» to protect themselves. If you do not want groupon customers don’t use it! Don’t draw people in and abuse them in a room full of people! This Neanderthal manager needs training. If he had half a brain he could’ve maybe considered I spent over one hundred bucks in an hour, so the groupon worked! The fine print on the groupon doesn’t state any such restrictions. Cut me some slack for missing the finer fine print they were able to dig up and let’s keep smiling. Can you imagine driving any distance at all with the distinct intent of beating a bar out of four bucks while spending over 100? Me either. I can just imagine HIS slant on this debacle. There’s a sign on the wall as you come in about bad attitudes and don’t ask for buy backs. Anyplace you have to write that out should have been warning enough for me. One of my worst dining experiences ever!

Not really my place but I do often want to go being so close to home, and everyone who goes there seems to like it. I should really grab some grub and see how that is, especially since I live so close. Just not my crowd, I think they could use more interesting beer but I dig their pool table and dart board that never seems to be usable. Time to try some food and see

Rudi’s just recently started serving breakfast(7am every day) and I have to say it was awesome! Plenty of good choices; and it’s quick since it’s not crowded. Once you cop a menu, you can easily call in your food if you’re on the go.

When I got to Rudi’s I was pleasantly surprised to see how big it was. The had a lot of things to do if you don’t watch sport or you just want to hang out with friends. When I got there with my brother to watch the Giants game we met Rachel the bartender. She was great and I felt like this was the place for me. Then the waitress came. She was awful! She never came to the table because she was only worried about a bigger party for a better tip. Anyway when she did come she kept messing up our order. We asked for one order of wings she put in two, which worked because the manager charged us for one, she put onions on my brothers burger but I asked for them, I asked for no ice in my drink and here the shocker I got ice. This might have been the last time I went but however the food is incredible!!! I mean they love what they cook there! The cook made the best wings I’ve had in years, the mac & cheese squares are crunchy outside but gooey inside. The burger is thick and made with real beef not patties like you pick up for a BBQ. Plus they use cheese like it was meant to be used, they pile it on. I will just go on record saying if you like great food and watching sports events and don’t need great service then give this place a try. I know I will go back, but this time I will sit at the bar with Rachel.

I wasn’t expecting much from a sportsy dive bar off the side on a busy, kind of depressing commercial strip, but figured with the creative burgers on the menu and a flash-sale $ 9 Groupon for 2 beers, an app, and 2 entrees, that I couldn’t go wrong. I’m pleased to say that I didn’t! I mean, the pierogies were dried-up Mrs. T’s, despite the server saying they were fresh-made when I asked(Can’t fool me! But to be fair, «fresh» and«homemade» tend to have mixed meanings on LI. So many places claim«homemade» pasta in that it’s heated in-house, but I digress…). However, there was a big selection of included beer on tap, and plenty of sugared rim to go with my pumpkin ale. With the Groupon, there’s a cap of $ 12 value, so I wasn’t able to get the decadent burger I’d wanted(the Marcus Stroman, which had avocado, onion straws, a fried egg, honey mustard, and cheese along with the standard lettuce and tomato. A caloric and fat bomb which likely made its lack of availability for the best.). They didn’t allow additions to the menu burgers either, not even for an upcharge, but the varieties on offer are plentiful. We both got the Mick, a bacon, egg, and cheese burger, which came with sauteed red onions, lettuce, and tomato and perfectly crispy fries. It was kind of greasy, but not overly so with a little dab of the convenient paper towels on the table. Service was friendly and attentive without being overly so, lots of TVs, a big comfort food menu with creative burgers and hot dogs, and unbeatable pricing. Great value; I’d go there again for sure.

Service was awful. My spouse and I waited around 70 minutes or so to be seated, but only one group was ahead of us, and yet, random people would come in and be seated first. The entire booth was dirty and the service was slow while the staff were ill-mannered and inattentive. Food was average for the options in the area… I would not go back.

I came here for a softball teams fundraiser and was pretty pleased with the place. Decent size, large bar space with alot of stools. Had 2 pool tables and some booth seats against the walls. They had a pretty big menu as well, i was surprised. Ordered boneless buffalo wings, pretty spicy but good. They had alot of other wing flavors to choose from which was cool. Also ordered mozarella sticks which were good as well, had parmesian sprinkled on top and then a side of marinara as usual. I would really like to come back here on a weekend night for drinks and food. Seems like it could be a fun place!

Deff a local bar, went in with my wife and two kids on a Sunday lunch and we stood there without nobody paying attention to us. Walk to the bar to wait and ask if we could be seated, once seated it took a whole to find the server. We had a groupon deal and refused to take it since there was a «live» band playing, which nobody was played during the 30 mins since we walked in and waited. When we decided to walk out the server followed amd said they«maybe» they can take it. Which i was already walking to the car. Not a good bar to go hang out if you are not a local.
