My 74 year old mother in law and I stopped in here on or way back to San Diego, and we had a fabulous time! Many of the other wineries in the Area close at 5pm, but this one stayed open until 6pm. Jackpot! Yes, we were coming thru kind of late. We both tried the estate tasting. I had a special request to also sample the brut, and we were accommodated. The Brut was so good, that I brought home a bottle and a chocolate bar for $ 32 altogether and the tasting fee was waived since we took home bottles. The grounds are beautiful and the sights and views spectacular! They even had a water fountain out front. The décor ois upscale rustic with stone work everywhere. Customer service was perfect and our over all experience was one we will always remember. If you are just passing thru or staying for a vacation. .put Vina Robles in your navigation!

Now this is what I call wine tasting. On the exterior, Vina Robles looks like some modern house for showcases, but don’t let their contemporary style fool you! There’s a lot waiting inside for ya. We followed the signs leading us to the tasting room inside and we seemed to be in their gift shop. The kind lady at the desk greeted us and walked us to the tasting bar where we were presented with menus, tasting options, and a beautiful view of their tall and bright windows and high ceilings. Their AC is cool without being too chilly, and there are breadsticks and water upon request. First off, cheers to lovely lovely winetender by the name of Jarrod who completely impressed and spoiled my Dad and me. If you’re looking for an extraordinary tasting experience with an attractive guy who can provide easy-flowing conversation, Jarrod’s your man! Tasting is basically free with the purchase of a bottle, and being in the industry, we were able to taste a variety of their robust reds and clean, crisp, chardonnays. We tasted some Estate wines like the Red4 and White4(blends of four types of reds/whites) which weren’t my favorite, but at affordable prices. I was a big fan of their 2013 special release Zin… totally fabulous and completely fit my palette. By the way, for those of you wino’s judging me, I’ll say that I’m a pinot/zin/malbec drinker, not so much a cab/petite’s Paso drinker(big surprise, I’m from the Bay). The Albarino and Viognier were both more refreshing and crisp, which suited my fancy especially since most are sickeningly sweet. I also had to get my hands on their 2012 Fore Petite Syrah, I KNOW. Yup, Jarrod completely changed my perspective on Petite Syrahs… I’m still not at complete open arms with that varietal, but I bought a bottle after deciding how delicious it was! All around us there were couples, families, and even a bachelorette party tasting. We were so glad to hear that they had live music(very acoustic and soft) on Saturdays ONLY. So cheers to you VR for accentuating my experience. The restrooms are clean and have plenty of stalls(ladies, you know that’s a biggie). So come on a Saturday. Enjoy the music and open space. Thank you Vina Robles… in a sea full of 200+ Paso vineyards, you are one that I’ll be recommending to everyone.

I took this trip for my first ever wine tasting experience with a total of 6 adults. The winery is absolutely beautiful, however not the warm cozy feeling I was hoping for. We requested a wine tasting and from the get go it was all about the money. We decided to do the tasting and although the young lady was nice just like the rest was not warm and friendly. We did purchase some wine so that we could sit and enjoy the music outside and the live music was a treat. Probably would not return.

I came here with my mom and grandma for an afternoon of wine and cheese tasting. I had come here last year with my mom(got the stellar review to back me up!) and we had a wonderful time. Everything was perfect and we felt like we were at home. This time the experience was lacking incredibly so. The silver haired fox who I am assuming is now the manager(go him!) didn’t introduce the wines to us or the cheeses. So we missed the thorough history and background. Instead we got a very pleasant blonde-hair girl with the cute Forever21 dress. She was so inattentive, quick, and was stumbling over her words. I chalked it up to her being new, but I was disappointed because I had wanted someone who was more experienced to really give my grandma the full experience of Vina Robles wine and cheese tasting. It was unfortunate that we didn’t learn about the history of the wines, nothing about the vineyard, and it was just bland. We literally got«this is high in tannins and this balances it out» and then she left. It was night and day from our last experience and like I said before, just disappointing.(I do have to add that a lot of the cheese pairings with the wine just felt incredibly off, but that could just be my inexperience palate). The 3 stars are for the service. I wasn’t too responsive to the wines we tasted, but they do get a solid 4. Everyone in my party left with a bottle of wine in hand and that’s rare for us. Even with the drought and water being rationed, Vina Robles sure knows how to put out really good wine.

Definitely has a more corporate feel. Really good vibe and beautiful scenery. Tim was awesome and really educated us on wine varietals. Would definitely come back for its great service!

It’s your typical commercialized winery but with good wine and great/friendly customer service. We showed up with 10 people which is usually a «no no» without letting the winery know beforehand but they took the challenge on like a champ! The tasting room is sophisticated which I enjoyed and our server was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions with great humor. They also had some music playing outside that was relaxing. There also is a concert stadium which one day I would like to check out. The wine here is great I really enjoyed the savagnin blanc as it had little acid with a freshness to it as well as the Red blend that had great fruit in it. The outside looks like your typical commercialized winery but once you get inside it is not and you are in for a great treat! Salute

I have visited many wineries in the Paso Robles area. My husband and I visited Vina Robles yesterday for our anniversary. The atmosphere is beyond amazing. We tasted with a young lady names Allie and she was the sweetest and friendliest and she has a lot of knowledge with wines. We loved the delicious wines. We had a very good overall experience. We put Vina Robles on a list of one of our favorites.

I cannot even express how great this winery is! We became members when we moved to Paso and have nothing but excellent experiences to talk about. We just completed the Vina Robles Valentines Dinner and it was amazing. You cannot go wrong with their selections and incredible prices, not to mention the staff! Don’t miss them… because they literally are the best winery in this NC.

Had the BEST experience with Robert in the tasting room. We arrived near closing time but they took us in with a smile. They have a variety of true varietals and blends. We opted for the reserve tasting and were particularly impressed with the Suendero. We left as members, and can’t wait to go back!

We love Vina Robles. Classiest tasting room and servers around. And. the wine is outstanding. We have tried many wineries in Paso and this still remains one of our favorites on our short list of best wineries and wine in Paso.

Brought a party of 10 as part of weekend bday celebration. As wine club members we bragged about their wines, service, and location. Our party was promptly greeted and a table was set and ready for our tasting. Bob was our guide and he did not disappoint. He was friendly, informative, helpful, funny, and went above and beyond our expectations. Hands down the BEST tasting experience of the weekend. Bob made us(wine club members) look good, we walked out with more wines to add to our collection, and with a smile on our faces. Thanks Vina Robles for making our last wine tasting experience the best!

I really enjoyed this place… beautiful tasting room and DELICIOUS wine with lots of options to choose from for tastes. We went on a Saturday afternoon and there was a guitar player which set a nice ambiance for a filled space of wine tasters. My boyfriend did not care for who served us(not overly friendly or attentive) but it was a busy afternoon and it didn’t bother me as much because they were still pretty knowledgeable and informative of where to find Vina Robles bottles in our local area. I really appreciated not feeling super pressured to make a purchase right then & there. Found a couple bottles of their Petite Sirah at my local wine shop and will definitely return to Vina Robles next trip to Paso!

Great experience! Broad range of reds and whites. Signature wines particularly tasty. If you can get Randy as your wine guide, you’ll be in very good hands!

Vina Robles has brought in some big name performers. Concerts have been absolutely on point! However, that’s about where the allure ends. This«winery» seems to be more concerned with being an event center. For my pallet, the red selections were thin and the white was acidic. There also seemed to be a lack of enthusiasm to the winery. I can’t mention one aspect that made me feel this was a winery; instead, I felt that I was in a concierge lounge. Again, the concerts here are great. But I feel without them there would be no wine sold. When you have a blend named«Red 4», it truly asserts where the priorities are.

I need to take the time out of my wine tasting that I am currently still participating in to commend Jarrod. Anyone who visits this winery definitely needs to seek him out because he is the very definition of superb. Completely engaging, funny, and knowledgeable in everything affiliated with Vina Robles, I had an even greater time at this lovely winery thanks to him. Being the vino lover that I am, I visited my share of wineries. Jarrod was beyond accommodating and friendly that he truly enhanced our visit. The wine is delicious and as a result I am considering the wine club as well!

This is more along the lines of the fancier, more corporate, more touristy winery. We prefer a more laid-back style. That said, they have some very nice wines to try here and we ended up applying our tasting fee(which was a reasonable $ 7) to a great bottle of blended white wine.

Beautiful atmosphere. Everyone from the welcome concierge lady who greeted us to the tasting room attendant and the tasting room manager were great employees and so welcoming… I just didn’t love their style of wine. Did the reserve tasting which was mostly Syrah blends — all too peppery for my taste, didn’t love any of them enough to purchase. Beautiful venue and looking forward to a show here this summer, but not loving the wine.

What an absolute fantastic experience at the members wine club. Having just joined the wine club last month we decided to stop here on our way down to Pismo Beach. Ray was attentive, engaged in some great conversation with us while allowing the time to enjoy each pour. This is by far my favorite winery in all of Paso and I cannot wait to come back very soon. Phenomenal wines combined with excellent customer service make being a wine club member worth every penny.

I swore black and blue to my husband that I would not join another wine club, I promised him that we had enough clubs and were members at all of the best wineries in the Paso area, I convinced us both that we had many shipments of wine coming in the next few weeks and that we didn’t need to buy any on this trip unless we were recouping a tasting fee… And then we arrived at Vina Robles… Ah Vina Robles with your amazing wine and your smooth talking host who let us go off menu and sample through every bottle open or available regardless of what was on our tasting menu, who provided a vertical tasting of a number of varieties to showcase various vintages, who brought out cheeses to develop the real flavor of the wine, who gave us champagne and port and who doubled the member discount since it was my husbands birthday… Ah sweet sweet talking Vina Robles… How did you convince me so quickly into ignoring all of my promises and guarantees that I would not join another wine club and that I would not leave a winery with a box of wine under my arm? Oh that’s right… Amazing wine and fantastic service!!!
