What’s not to like, burger done well. Fries are good. Not into the green beans thought. They are greasy. Onion rings are good. The seared ahi sandwich is always good.

This location has been very consistent for me. I love eating at the habit because it’s cheap, quick, and there are tons of options on the menu. My favorite combo lately is the Albacore Tuna Filet on Sourdough bread(hold the tartar sauce) with Tempura Green Beans. It’s delicious and leaves me feeling full but not with the ‘fast food feeling.‘ Thanks for being consistent and keeping me happy!

I’m just gonna come out and say that The Habit is better than In-N-Out. It’s a personal preference, but a strong one. I like that the Habit grills their burgers over open flame instead of just frying it. That makes a huge difference to the flavor. I also like that the Habit has more variety in sides and drinks and stuff like that. Also burgers. In-N-Out is good, but don’t you sometimes wish you could get a heaping mound of onion rings to go with it? I know I do. Also, I’m giving this place 5 stars because my wife and I were able to use their bathroom without ordering anything. Then we sat outside at one of their tables without having ordered anything. I was kind of hoping someone would confront me about using their bathroom and table without buying anything, but no such confrontation came. Oh well. It is a holiday today. I bet sassy Becky was gonna come out and give us a stern talking to when Assistant Manager Billy said, «No, Becky. Not on President’s Day. Let them have their relieved bladders and pleasant outdoor seating.» Thanks, Billy. Thanks.

My first time here and it was the best experience ever. Best burger in town. I would say better then in and out burger. Service was fast and good vibe. All employees are on their feet giving the best service. Will bring my family here for more burgers thanks.

I frequent this place at least once a week for lunch. The service is always fantastic and the food is always great. The line moves quickly and the orders are usually prepared within 5 – 10 minutes of your order. They also have decent sized portions of salad as well. Overall I would rank this place as a good alternative to In-N-Out as their burgers are very different and the beef always tastes fresh. Try: Double char with cheese Burger Santa Barbara Style Albacore tuna on sourdough. Fries Tempura Green Beans

Double cheeseburger deliciousness for sure! Loved the charburger flavor, and the grilled onions made it all the better. The price is also ridiculously affordable as well.

Clean location with lots of seating, customer service was great, and they got my order right. I’ve been to other locations of this establishment and always ask for lettuce wrap, but they seem to forget and give me a regular burger with buns instead. Love their teriyaki burger with the pineapple, it’s delicious.

Habit… Yes it is. In and out has a new rival and it’s the double char for sure. Grilled nicely, quick and easy, the habit does a nice job. Try the ahi tuna sandwich as well, it will not disappoint.

I had the the original double charburger with bacon and it was ok, better than McDonalds. It was a bit dry and the fries were cold. My son had the kids meal and loved it. Probably due to to the gummy burger that is included. We went back the next day to give this place a second chance and of course my son got a kids meals and loved it. I tried the Tri-tip sandwich this time and again it was okay. I live in Bakersfield were tri-tip is served on every corner, so I know what I am talking about. So it was a bit fatty and cut too thick to enjoy in a sandwich. I would like to love this place, and it seems to get great reviews, but I am wondering if people don’t know what they are getting. A burger with everything on it should not be dry and tri-tip should not be served the thickness of a burger… Never. The prices could be lower for what you are getting also.

There are now so many hamburger restaurants to choose from that you really have to decide what kind of taste you are looking for. The Habit is a franchise that started in, I think, Ventura County and spread like wild fire. Their burgers are clean tasting and not oily like some. With that said, I am impressed that they sponsor the«No Kid Left Hungry» program, which is really important, with the demise of the universal family. Their burgers are served fresh and a pager tells you when it’s ready to be picked up. The fries are okay, but have ranch dressing for free for dipping, a plus in my book! Overall, I think the Habit makes a decent burger, but can not compare in many ways with in and out, which seems to have a more cheesy taste in a good way. I do believe the burgers are charbroiled, but could be wrong, as I did not taste a strong burnt taste like many char-broiled burgers. The newest one is in Alhambra, which I will be trying out shortly…

Three stars instead of two because we can’t speak for the dine-in experience. We ordered a bbq bacon burger and a pastrami sandwich with a side of fries and onion rings to-go for lunch. Took a little longer than expected, which is okay, except our onion rings were seen sitting out for quite a while. Burger was just okay. Pastrami sandwich on sourdough however, was a total let-down. The bread was terribly greasy and soggy and the pastrami we got was not as lean as advertised. Also not as advertised, there was no cheese melted on our pastrami. I’m kind of glad there wasn’t though, because if there had been, the sandwich may have been too squishy and soggy to handle. Sides were good. Even though they were not as hot as they could have been, the fries and onion rings were crispy and delicious.

First time trying out this location. It’s pretty easy to find, very spacious interior. The servers are extremely friendly and helpful. The menu pricing is fair, not too crazy. They do charge for all topping/add-ons(bacon, cheese, avocado etc.) I’ve tried their chargrilled beef patty with regular bun and sourdough. I’ve also added cheese, bacon and avocado to the mix. The burgers are clean but taste a bit plain. They do offer different sauces and condiments on the side. I just wanted to try the beef patty as is. The sourdough gives more flavor but aside from that, the burger itself didn’t really stand out. Their salads are a good deal but they’re a little heavy on the dressing and parmesan. It was overall a good experience. I would recommend to try it out but I’m not crazy for the burgers.

A friend and I came here for lunch because we wanted something different and to get away from the office. When we got here the line was long but moved very quickly. I ordered the double burger with fries and a coke. Got my drink, my pager and sat outside. I pager went off about 5 – 10 minutes later. Graves my food and enjoyed. The burger was good but not mind blowing. For all the hype I’ve heard I expected more. The fries were good, fresh and crunchy. Burger was tender, juicy but bread a little to toasted. Would I go back again? I think I would.

After eating super healthy for a week, this was definitely a treat. Even without the starvation, this place is the bomb! Fast and easy ordering, strawberry limeade, outdoor seating are all wins. This isn’t a burger place with 20 different speciality burgers, thankfully! For the most part, build it how you like it. Delicious juicy thick tomato, no slimy floppy slices. Chopped lettuce is great. The bacon and avocado I added were worth it. The regular fries were just how I like them — hot and crispy on the outside, and not too salty. Want to try the sweet potato fries and milkshake next visit.

Burgers and fries are pretty consistent. I would say the food is average. I do like the fact that they have the strawberry lemonade. Place is clean and workers are friendly.

I love The Habit, they are consistent with great service, clean restaurants and great food! I have tried almost everything on their menu and think the Ahi is the best thing on their menu, my husband loves the tri tip. Good fries, better than In N Out, but they burgers can’t touch being as good as from In N Out. Prices are a bit higher as well, subbing Ahi for chicken in any of the salads with only run you 50 cent, so i usually go with the Cobb sub Ahi, perfect light but filling lunch for $ 8.

If you’re on a budget, or don’t want to overspend on your burger, then this place is perfect for you. Our bill came out to about $ 14 for two. This included a char burger combo and a bacon and cheeseburger single. I like that everything is made to order like at In-N-Out. I had the char burger without mayonnaise. I’ve had burgers in the past that were on the salty side. This one was just perfectly seasoned. The fries were fresh and hot. Again, lightly salted and crunchy on the outside, but soft on the inside. I’m definitely coming back here. I mean, there aren’t many fast food restaurants where you can get fresh food that is cooked when order for a good price?

We frequent The Habit on occasion and their Burgers are good, but the options after their regular char patty is more expensive(chicken, Santa Fe, etc). Here’s what you should know: –Fries and drinks are sold separately –They have a mini condiment section for jalapeños, lemon and lime slices, etc –There’s outdoor seating(last time we dined, some homeless people were asking us to buy them a meal) Overall you could say The Habit is an upgrade to In-n-Out burgers, but not as elaborate as a fine dining burger. Quality of food: 3 stars Service: 3 stars Cleanliness: 4 stars I cannot really say much about The Habit, it’s kind of a bland place. The burgers are decent, easily digestible, and didn’t appear to be clogging my arteries intentionally. All of the food was fresh; the fries were crunch yet soft in the middle; the kids meals were good proportions; however I did not like their onion rings(not very creative or flavorful, just filling). Otherwise, this location is clean, service is quick, and parking is plentiful. It is what it is.
