I have to say that the above review was hilarious! i am a professional decorative painter and have used this paint in all applications. It works. However, painting a couch? Use some common sense. Im in this shop frequently and Connie knows her stuff and had a real passion for it. Be creative but use your head. This is a great local shop to support!

Buyer Beware
Please do not be deluded by the claim by Simpler Times in Parker, CO that you can paint upholstery with chalk paint and then use the furniture afterwards — you can’t! The paint will bleed onto damp clothing from your furniture and ruin your clothes. I took Simpler Times to small claims court and they were charged with negligent misrepresentation of a product. Even so, I didn’t win a settlement because I failed to check for colorfastness before I began painting my couch. Simpler Times reassured me several times that it was safe to paint upholstered furniture (and at that time they had both a painted couch and a painted chair in their store to demonstrate you could do this). 31 different kinds of upholstery were ultimately test– painted and none of the sample upholstery became colorfast. So «Buyer Beware! is the keyword for this business.
