Anthony’s Pizza and Pasta

We always enjoy this restaurant. Even basic pizzas are tasty, hot, and HUGE — barely fit on table, doggy box needed. Also no lines, nice people, not noisy.

What the h*ll happened here?
New owner, new cooks, new manager?
This used to be our favorite pizza place.
I understand they were busy, however, I ordered two pizzas and none of us could figure out what we were eating.
One pizza was supposed to be pepperoni and mushroom and one was supposed to be sausage and mushroom.
Couldn’t tell.

I was starving and needed to get away from the wife and kids last night at 8 PM, so I ran over to Anthony’s and had the 2 cheese slice and a soda special for $ 6.48, including tax. The hockey game was on TV (volume off, which is great because I needed some peace and quiet), I had my caffeine free soda from their fancy coke machine. The slices were served hot. Everything was perfect… I thought that I died and went to heaven. By 8:45, I was ready to go back home in a much better mood.

Stellar calzone! The crust and sauce are very good. Italian and pizza preferences very so widely that all I can say is I love this place and it is worth a shot if you haven’t found your pizza haunt yet. They do online delivery and takeout I personally love the smell of the restaurant and enjoy ordering take out. Plus you do get your pie a bit faster.

Fantastic NY style slices. Great lunch specials. Their cheese calzone is fabulous. The bread that they use for the garlic bread & sandwiches is amazing. The only thing we haven’t tried is the pasta because there are too many other delicious options!

The Pizza is always a shoe in, never disappointed. The Wife and kids also love the Calzones. The only complaint, which is a personal taste, is the roll selected for the hot sandwiches, sometimes a little chewy.

This place is our go to place for pizza. They are always friendly and I have never had any problems with my orders. Their white pizza is my favorite and my husband loves their calzones.

Fast and good service! Clean diner and bathrooms. The pizza was average. Was a little disappointed because it was so highly recommend. The prize was comparable to other pizza places. Over all it was fine for a family night out.

Hate to do it. Used to love this place but seems like something has gone wrong lately. Each of us ordered our own slice of pizza. One ordered a cheese slice. We paid, we sat and we waited. Shortly after, one of the employees comes to our table and says «would you mind taking a sausage slice instead of a cheese slice? if we do a cheese slice we’d have to bake a whole other pizza» I’m sorry, what? If we wanted a sausage slice, we would’ve ordered one. How did your kitchen’s problem become our problem and why are you asking us to compromise so that your kitchen doesn’t have to do the work to make a cheese pizza? Sorry guys, no more business from us.

I ordered delivery from the Castle Rock location this evening. Great pizza, however… The cheesecakes are priced online for $ 3 and arrived as a $ 4 charge. Also, took a picture of the cannoli which was another four bucks and it was completely hollow. Will not go back.

Ordered from here last week for delivery. Girl that took our order said it would take 45 mins. No problem.
Time goes on… And on… Waiting… hour and. Half passes and I decide to call and check on order. Girl answers and says she doesn’t know who took the order. (One other person taking orders btw) says it will be almost another hour. What?! I say at this point go ahead and cancel it. Girl: my manager says I can credit you for two free slices on your next visit.
Me: there’s not going to be a next visit. Girl: my manager now says you can have a free pizza on your next dine in.
Me: there’s not going to be a next visit. Please refund my money.
Girl: how did you pay? Cash or card?
Me: it was a phone in order how can I pay by cash over the phone? (that last part from the employee pretty much summed up the mental capacity I was dealing with)
Bottom line, don’t go here they will lie on their times to get you to order.

Good pizza but the inside needs a huge facelift. Booths are all ripped and everything seems sticky and dirty. Yuck!

Clean place, young girl with dreads is quite nice. She apologized for taking a while with the first guy. Pizza’s were decent too.

I’ve been going to this Anthony’s for over 10 years now and I don’t understand all of the complaints? I’ve ordered over 1000 pizza pies and coming from NYC, they are the closest thing to authentic New York style pizza. I met the owner and I know he takes pride in his store. I wish people would just let him know what’s going on before posting negative reviews on here. I’ve never had a complaint, only one was that we ate it too fast! I’ve always had great food and service. I did order a Sicilian and I should have asked how much sauce they put on it, but I let the lady know up front and she suggested that next time I ask for more and they don’t charge for it. She even offered to pay for it, I told her it’s okay, it was my fault. To Ann N’s posting, no one in Italy would ever put vinegar on a Caprese salad, it would be an insult. I’m still a loyal customer and they will continue to have my business as a Pizzeria!

Food is ok. Sunday June 15 the blonde teenage girl behind the counter had the personality of my sneaker. Food was not ready at time we were told to pick up.
She sat on the counter, texted and drank soda while I waited. As people would come in she would lean forward and tell them their order wasn’t ready. She appeared really bothered to be there

Worst restaurant ever. Only beer. No wine. Cheap food. Pizza. No vinegar for a caprese salad?!? You’re an Italian restaurant!!! Piece of crap restaurant. Will NEVER go again!!!

This is the first time I’ve been here and before I even try the pizza the kid that works the register is already irritating me. He took my order with a what do you want look in his face. After I was done ordering he jumped on the counter sat down and started playing on his phone. He then proceeded to call his friend and talk to him while customers are in the restaurant! Like I said I haven’t even had the pizza yet … I hope it’s as good as some of the reviews say otherwise I will not be coming back here again!

Waited 40 minutes for a decent calzone and freezer burned ravioli.
Maybe one day we will find good local pizza!

Had a pizza delivered last week and it was the worst pizza I have ever had from Anthony’s and possibly ever. It was overcooked and tougher than hell. The center was good and what you would expect but a bit or two into it… it was tough. The kind of tough your jaw hurts from chewing 3 bags of beef jerky tough. It was not very hot but it was delivered so I don’t feel I can be upset about a warm pizza.
Not too sure I will go back to Anthony’s and can assure you I will never order a pizza from this Anthony’s again!

I love their pizza. Nice chewy thin crust with a tangy red sauce.
They have green olives which many places do not. So this is a definite plus. Always good service and consistent food.
Thing you have to remember is not too put too many toppings on the pizza — I’d say the most is two. we did four meats one time and you had the eat the slice with a fork because when you picked it up it just didn’t hold up to that much meat.
