I dunno much about how it rates in terms of their collection of glasses, but I must say there is tons of room for improvement with their staff and office management. The staff there arent the worst I’ve experienced, but they definitely take their sweet time with everything. I was there to get an eye exam, but it took me an hour and a half to finish the whole process. The exam was about 5 minutes mind you. I got there on time and ready for my appointment, but they made me wait for 50 minutes. The doctor seemed like a nice fellow and I had no problems with him. You cant really expect much from a bunch of unmotivated employees, but well, you can hope. Just don’t go with high expectations.

I went into this store and looked around at the frames. I asked for assistance and it seemed that with all the sales help which seemed to be free to help instead of talking to each other, I would think that I would have been asked if I needed anything. I finally decided to approach a representative and ask how much it would cost for my lenses alone(no frame) while I continued to look at frames. It was as though I was asking for something that was not related to what a representative should be doing except talk to each other. I was quoted $ 1075 for progressive lenses without a frame. I was amazed that it was so much as I’ve been getting progressively for the last 15 years and never paid more than $ 300 – 400 complete. When I explained that the quote they had given me was very overpriced, they started to give me a percentage off, starting at 20% and then 25%. It seemed as though they were very disinterested in helping me so I left the store. I then reached out to Twitter. After I left the tweet, nobody reached out to help right away. It seemed as though they were not monitoring their social media account. Finally after a couple of days, I was given a number to call and called the number. I spoke with a representative after waiting 10 minutes on hold and then asked to speak with the supervisor who was not available. They took my name and number and said a supervisor would be back to me within 24 – 48 hours. Finally, after numerous tweets, a supervisor called me over a week later. Even at that point they couldn’t help me and did not offer any type of resolution, etc. even if I wanted a second pair of glasses. I ended up getting better service at Costco at 20% of Pearle Vision’s price with great customer service and most helpful. Yes, complete with lenses and frames, I paid $ 220 at Costco and I am very happy!

I am not surprised that all other Unilocalers rated this so low. Pathetic service. Very rude and impolite staff. I purchased a Crizal lenses but after few weeks I noticed a lot of glare and smudging on the glasses. Which is not typical of Crizal as I have used their antireflective and anti glare lenses before. I called in to question whether they really used Crizal as the number on the warranty card they gave me did not work on Crizal’s website. They argued that it’s authentic and when I asked them how do they know what lense was used in their outsourced lab to make my frames. What quality checks are done to ensure the Crizal brand was used before delivery to customer as it can even be a mistake that the lab tech could have used normal lenses. They couldn’t prove otherwise so they gave me a free replacement and this time they showed me Crizal package in which lenses were delivered to their store. When I asked again why the warranty card doesn’t work on the Crizal’s website there was no answer. The sales staff got frustrated wiht my questions and start acting rudely. Anyway they called me to inform my replacements were ready and when I went there they told me concerned lab tech was gone for the day without handing in my replacement glasses. The sales girl was unapologetic wiht the miscommunication. What an ordeal and waste of time, fuel and money. That one star is for the sales associate who was patient to answer all my questions when I first went in. But their after sales service is so bad.

Horrible experience. I was told there is a 30 day return policy when I got a frame but when I took the frame back within 30 days they refused to take it back. Employee was very rude and when I asked for supervisor he claimed he was stores general manager. I called customer service number of PearlVision and even they were suprised with the answer I got. Please stay away from this place

I recently purchased and received two(2) pair of glasses and prescription /polarized sunglasses from Pearle Vision in Paramus. From start to finish, I was treated very professionally and courteously by the entire staff. In particular, Judy Murphy answered all my questions in a direct yet pleasant manner. I took her recommendation to add Crizal to my lenses, and I am very pleased that I did. The lenses present a clearer and sharper image than any glasses that I have had. The eye examination and frame selection process moved quickly. The glasses were ready when Judy promised(7 – 10 days). Pearle staffer Steve Bloom was very helpful in providing tips on how to adjust to the new glasses together with pointers on how to clean and store the glasses. Your eyes are a critically important, so I strongly recommend Pearle Vision on Route 4 in Paramus for your eye care.

OVERPRICED! I was charged $ 195 for Anti-reflective coating and my total bill was a disgrace. The salesman and his manager(another man) would not give me a chance to talk. I love DR. Sudol but won’t go back because of the unprofessional salespeople.

Found the store inflated the retail price of my frames from 220 to 360 and then gave me 30% off so they got 252 at of me and when brought to the store managers attention he said they can make the factory retail anything they want and was very unprofessional.

Dr. Sudol is really nice and so is his staff. When I get my exams, not bad. Not a long waiting period either. I love that they have weekend hours and his one staff member was able to get the air puff into my eye, which is hard for most people. Though, his staff must’ve called me a million times before the appointment because they wanted me to schedule an appointment. I had already done so online. «Oh there it is.» Then I kept getting reminder phone calls or messages regarding the appointment. Okay, I got it, I’ll be there. The day before my appointment, I got a call regarding my insurance and I just didn’t get what the nurse wanted. I kept asking, «Do you want my insurance card numbers now?» «Ummmm…» … So I told her I’d call back. The next girl I got was much better and knew what she needed from me. When I went to look at glasses, I stood there for a while. The staff never came up to assist me so I just left without glasses.

11/28/2014 On 9÷27÷14, I brought a pair of reading glasses back to the Perle store where they were bought in order to have the frames adjusted. When I took them out of their case when I got home that evening, one of the temples was broken off. I went back to the store on Wednesday 9⁄29. The best that they can do for me is to replace them for«half price,» i.e., $ 159.98. The same frames are available on-line at several places for $ 101 to $ 127 — with free shipping. It is now 11÷28÷14 and I am still without reading glasses even though I had to pay in advance. This place is a total waste of time. Actually worse. 12/10/2014 I called the store several times to find out what was going on. Each time I called I was put on hold and then told that they would call me when my glasses were in. Finally, I went to the store on Monday December 8th; 40 days after paying them $ 159.97 for breaking my glasses. They could not find the frames that were ordered. The explanation was«we can order the frames but we have no control over when they are delivered.» They offered to put the order in again, but I opted to ask for my money back rather than spend another 6 weeks without overpriced reading glasses. They processed my refund and the apology was a curt«have a nice day.» And by the way; I have bought three pair of glasses at this store over the past year or so. The total that I spent was more than $ 2500,(shared by myself and my insurance). The young lady who had sold all three pair to me recognizes me and usually greets me when I walk in. She was also the young lady who adjusted the frame when it broke. Although the store was not very busy when I went in on December 8th, she did not have the courtesy to even inquire how she could help. So much for customer service!

Dr. Sudol was great! He is so nice, and explained into details everything I needed to know about contact lenses. The eyeglasses rep on the other hand was not so much. I was looking to get a pair of glasses and instead of helping me figuring out which is in my price range or fit, he just joked around with his colleagues and didn’t pay any attention to me. The manager even asked who is helping me and he said he is, but than he just went back to talking to his friend. Next time I need to invest $ 500 I will go somewhere else.
