Kindness is a rare gem in this world, and today I found it without even looking, here at La forcaccia Italian restaurant. It’s located towards the end of Plaza Del Valle. I had the home made vegetable soup, and the vegetable omelette. «Homemade» is an understatement. Eat it and you’ll understand!

It’s like a piece of Mexico in the middle of the valley. Looks like a number of centros in Mexico. Lots of good food and raspados!

This is a very cool place to walk around, eat, get some liquados, shop. But there are some issues with this place. A lot of business open late. Much later than the schedule the have posted(each business have their own hours of business). I’ve seen many people go to a store only to ring it closed. One of the stores said hat it opened at 10 and they didn’t open until noon. That’s not uncommon here. The pet store(Milo’s Per Shop) is hazardous to the health of your pets, STAYAWAYFROMIT! Seriously! If you love your dog, or at least just like it, do NOT take it to this guy. This guys has no idea what he is doing and no patience at all for the animals. He cut my dog in several places. On it’s back(looks like a huge bruse. 3″ long and 1 ¾″ wide) and three of her nipples. One looks very bad and I might have to take her to the vet. She’s now scared of going to the groom. I should had know tht the guy was an idiot when I saw him tied down a dog to talk to me. The dog did not want to stand up right away so he grabed the leash and pulled the dog up on his paws just by pulling on the leash. He’s didn’t help the dog stand up by using his other hand. The poor dog looked like he was being hung. I still gave him the benefit of the doubt. I’ve kicked myself many times over leaving her there. This man needs to be put out of business right away before he or his people hurt another animal. I have pictures but Indont know if I can post them here. If I can I will.

Been coming to this place for over 8 years now and the best place to visit in this area is «BESTCUT». The owner is a great and friendly. She has been cutting my hair for years and the staff is very helpful with anything. I highly recommend everyone and anyone to stop by and visit«BESTCUT» at the Plaza Del Valle

Since my husband and I moved to the area we love coming here on the weekends. I like all the clothing stores. We came out here on Sunday and they were showing the World Cup on their flat screens and had a stage set up for some events. Too bad Mexico lost but I got a nice new jersey and discovered that they also have a dog grooming place here. La Forcaccia is really good and my BIL always begs for the pizza from there. There are several little restaurants and stores, and a few barber shops including a REALLY fancy one.

Thank you everybody for the complements on Plaza Del Valle, The Manager of the place is Cesar De La Cruz who is former board member of The Panorama City Neighborhood Council & one of the founders. My mother owns a small business there & yes indeed is very nice place, recently this year they also used it as a filming site for the tv show«Saving grace» Here is some of those pictures, & ones again thank you.

As my fellow Unilocaler said: «To ignore this place would be a mistake». There are shops that specialize in everything from religious artifacts to hoochie mama clothing, from a pet shop to a $ 3.00 shoe store. There’s a small little hole in the wall called«El Tarasco», some of the best mexican food comes out of this little place, the burritos, tacos, and quesadillas are fantastic! Hit the café down the way to wash it all down with one of their fresh squeezed juices, smoothies or iced coffee’s. Yumm yumm gimme some.

Tucked behind busy Van Nuys Boulevard, many people don’t know this is here, but to ignore this place would be a mistake. It’s kind of like a less-historic, less-busy version of Placita Olvera with a narrow alleyway lined with Mexican cafes, a Raspado Express, some small stores selling clothes, jewelry and«productos Latinos». There are murals and sculptures, little coin-operated rides for kids, and even an altar to La Virgen. Sometimes(actually most of the time) it’s almost deserted and so there are no waits for food and most of the shopkeepers and waiters are very friendly since they don’t see a lot of business.
