Why are people hating on Cheesecake Factory? It’s got everything you could possibly want to eat! Plus they stay open really late. I went on a double-date here at 11PM on Saturday and received excellent service paired with perfectly made food. I got the Chicken Madeira, my other half got one of the burgers. Both of us were so happy with our food. Probably helped that we were super hungry. He used to work at this very Cheesecake location and yet he still likes going back. That’s a testament to what a solid place this is. The other couple shared a meatloaf, zucchini fries, and 2 cheesecakes. They were really happy with their orders too. Full stomachs and smiles all around :)

One star for arrogance, neglect of customers and violating city noise control regulations. They have loudspeakers OUTSIDE of the restaurant, constantly blasting loud music that contaminates two blocks each way. Why do they think they have a right to impose their musical tastes on everybody who sits in an another café nearby? Repeated verbal requests to lower the volume ignored…

Basic place to come to for some food and drinks. Never really had a bad experience, but it’s a chain store restaurant so it’s not like it stands out to me as anything special. I’ve never had to wait for a table no matter what time I come, so I will give it props for that. And I can hang out here for hours just chatting and not have them give me signs that they want to kick me out.

It’s a Cheesecake Factory so the menu is the same as everywhere else — lots of options that work for anyone including gluten free. But the service is horrible. They don’t have enough servers. We called to say we were coming in with 9 people — 3 high chairs. Said they can’t do anything until we get there. We get there and they say we have to wait and no high chairs. We order and after half an hour, we ask what’s going on because our toddlers are melting. Waiter says they are out of bread. I find another waiter to ask ours for the check for my family and they drop off the check for the whole table. Everyone else is eating but our kid is starting to melt so we want to leave. We would have preferred to pay with card but we left some cash. After food delivered and other than dropping the check, we didn’t see our waiter — no how is everything or anything. The food was okay but we won’t be back at this location.

I went here with my family to have dinner on Saturday night. The food is usually very good and the serving size is plenty. The only complaint is that the wait was much too long. 45 minutes for Saturday night. Luckily we weren’t to hungry. I guess that’s what you have to endure if you’re going to go out on a Saturday night in Palo Alto.

Cheesecake Factory never fails to satisfy. We came in with a large group on a weekend, and our service was efficient and friendly. I wish they took weekend reservations, but it still worked out. The menu is extensive and has a ton of extensive options, there is something delicious to eat for everyone! Also the complimentary bread is the best, and the dessert is the best around.

Service was TerRiBle! 44 minutes to receive our dinner for 4. Sadly they brought the wrong pasta plate and then my wife plate was prepared wrong. My daughter’s meal was last and it came out in halves… salmon and broccoli came first. Now check this Sh**… the pasta for my daughter was ordered with Alfredo sauce. …why the hell she come out with dry as pasta(no sauce). I wanted to strangle her azz. Got my daughter sitting here with dry azz pasta. she said some people do not want sauce! Take that shit back. Stay away yall. I have more but that’s enough.

We came here for a team lunch. This place has a great ambience but slow service. Being a Vegetarian I didn’t have much to choose from so I ordered a egg guacamole cutlet which was simply amazing and a Falafel salad which was way too Americanised that it lost its essence. Rest of my non-vegetarian friends were satisfied but not delighted. We ordered various cheese cakes for the team which were nice but really really heavy. This place is a bit pricey too.

Had lunch here today. It’s been a while since I’ve visited a cheesecake factory. Came here today around 12pm, the place was less than half full, perhaps the rain? Anyhow, the service was on point. We quickly got seated, the waitress was on point and attentive. We got what we need in a very timely manner. I still like the black bread a lot more than the sourdough. The food was blend and overcooked, I guess I was expecting too much for a 16 dollars spaghetti and meatball?

I’ve been to Cheesecake Factory plenty of times in plenty of locations. This particular location is one that you should stay away from(Palo Alto). The owners should be embarrassed and corporate should look into punishing them. We arrived and were told there was a 10 minute wait. Went to the bar, grabbed drinks, and waited to be buzzed. Our buzzer buzzed and we went to the host station only to have to wait another five minutes while they sorted out which of the currently doing nothing hosts could actually accomplish the feat of directing my family to a table. Servers stopped by to chit chat. A manager came and somehow made it an even longer process. We get sat.(Yay!) I chit chat with my family. I read through the entire menu(if you’ve been to Cheesecake Factory, you know how long the menus are). I read through the ads on the menu. I realize that we’ve been at the table for lord knows how long and nobody has even stopped by our table to even say«I’ll be with you soon.» I got to play the«I need some attention» game with servers passing by left and right, but none would pay attention. Finally I managed to grab the host that sat us so he could find us a server. Five minutes later… We order our food. I decided to take the opportunity to run across the street to Apple and have something taken care of. I walked over there while most of my family waited for food. Turns out the line was long. I waited. I finally got taken care of and walked back. I was sure my wife would be upset and my food would be cold. Nope. No food. After a while, two plates of food came out. A reasonable amount of time passed and nothing else. A few more minutes and I see the same person who delivered the first two plates come into the room. He had someone else’s food. My wife points out that the people at the table next to us(who have been there a good 25 minutes at that point) have not been helped. The people behind us are bent out of shape because they got ignored as well and one of there dishes was completely inedible.(Pasta just completely soaked in oil) I’m flabbergasted. Three more plates come out. My poor wife. No food for her. We wait patiently. Finally I had to stand up and get in front of our server and ask the question«is my wife going to get food tonight?» 10 minutes later my wife finally got her food. Fresh from the microwave. Did a manager ever come talk to us? No. Did the server make sure we were taken care of? No. We had to steal silverware from an empty table. We had to deal without ketchup for french fries. It took 5 minutes to refill my drink. Which would have been plenty of time if my drink wasn’t taken from me to refill it in the first place. I was so proud of my kids for not making a fuss for the entire meal. They deserve medals. We had one saving grace. We had ordered an entire cheesecake at the beginning. Now that it was an hour and a half later, we could eat it as soon as we got home. I arrived at home and opened my cheesecake… They gave me the wrong damn cheesecake! The woman behind me never did get a satisfactory meal. They left in frustration. The family next to us eventually did get served… after I mentioned to both our server and the host who eventually got us our server. Honestly, there are some great options in downtown Palo Alto. Epi, a few doors down has great food and great service. Nola is solid as well a few blocks away.

Disappointing overpriced dinner. Table not set for the 5 in our party, even after a 25-minute wait; «I got this» said the waiter. Slapped fork, knife, spoon and dish on the table, no napkin. Appetizers arrived, still no napkins. Fish and chips were tasteless and limp, and cole slaw was lukewarm instead of cold and crisp. Iced tea flavorless… And what happened to the Paradise Tea they usually serve? Had to wait far too long for side of ranch to go with BBQ pizza; over browned meatballs looked line they were weeks’ old and tasted the same. But waiter kept saying, «I got this» when all he got was a micro tip. Cheesecake could be redeeming? Nope. Standard cheesecake with 5 pieces of sliced strawberry. Less than 1 whole strawberry. Sigh. Sara Lee from a box would have been more satisfying. $ 130 bill for a meal and service worth $ 20. It’ll be a while before I return to The Cheesecake Factory.

We came here on Christmas Eve and surprisingly they were busy! Our waitress/bar tender(we sat @ bar, still full service menu) was busy but was friendly with checking in with us. Unfortunately, that night one of the servers who brought us our bread accidentally dropped the bread from our basket into the table while holding another basket of bread. I figured, well maybe just maybe he’ll apologize and offer to give us the other basket of bread to us. Well, not only did he NOT do any of the above, he grabbed all the bread that fell into our table with his hands, and placed all the bread back into our basket and hurried away!!! Okay, funny right? Well not really because if I were him — YOUR server @ Cheesecake Factory on a busy night, AND did THAT to YOUR food, handled your food without any gloves or type of sanitation, you would probably be shocked and appalled by their lack of professionalism. Well, if you think that’s acceptable, then hey, you can eat anything that they serve you with dirty hands right in your face. I think management needs more supervision or training of all employees regarding safety & cleanliness. Maybe a health or food inspector could drop by… just saying.

Came here close to 9 pm on a Saturday night. The wait was about 10 minutes. Order: chicken lettuce tacos with Asian style. Surprisingly, it was delicious and filling. The only downside was no napkins even when they brought out our food. I would recommend this place if you are in the area but there is so many other food spot to go in Palo Alto. Cheesecake Factory definitely has a lot of competition right in that area.

The initial service is fast but the main course took really long too come(could be because it was too crowded at 10pm too). The portions were huge, well done. The cheesecake delicious as always. The server friendly.

Antioxidant salad — yummy. Not ridiculous big. Ahi tartare — it was good but regular Corn soup — good, bowl is gigantic, feeds family of 4 easy Mexican lettuce wrap — hot plate wilted the lettuce — grilled chicken was too big and dry — try Asian next time Portobello, avocado, zucchini fries — best in show Mac N cheese — 1 kid portion can be split between a 4&6 yo

Great interior, service was satisfactory. Food: garlic noodles + shrimp. I hoped the shrimp would be grilled and on a side skewer, but the shrimp was cut up and mixed with the noodles. Noodles are A1 though. Mini corn dogs are a must!!!

I never thought I would do this, but after 240 posts, I am giving my first 1 star review. However, I’m not surprised that it is a chain. Let me give the low down: in order to qualify for a one star in my book, you really really need to fail in all aspects, which is the food, service, and price. This place did it. So, let’s begin the journey! The only good part was the beginning. The host was cool and sat us immediately. This is a warm Sunday lunch with my folks. Our waitress came and greeted us nicely. She took our order, but after that, things fell apart and went south. We got our food late… And pretty cold. We figured that the food was already made, but it just took a while to get it. The fish tacos I ordered barely had any chipotle sauce. I had to ask for more. The beans and rice were warm, not fresh and tasteless. The fish tacos, fried, were not hot and just lacked flavor. No seasoning, nothing. Cabbage was almost non existent in the tacos. My moms garlic sauce pasta was not hot as well and barely had any sauce. She asked for sauce and never got it. Waitress forgot. My mom didn’t like it. My dads chicken pasta was probably the best, but that’s not saying much. And the bill: $ 50 for terrible food??? No thanks. We didn’t make a fuss, we were just disappointed and I wished my mom wasn’t so impulsive in picking a chain, but, we had to do what my mom wanted. Overall: Terrible food, Terrible service, Terrible price

The food is very good. However, service is very spotty. You can have a great waiter, or one that could care less. Unfortunately, on our last visit we got one that didn’t seem to like her job and had no desire to be there. As for us, we had already waited 45 minutes to get a table; we were starving, as we hadn’t eaten all day. As if that weren’t bad enough, once we were finally seated, we waited another 20 minutes and never saw a waitress. We had to get up and find a waitress! When one finally arrived, we asked her to bring lots of bread, water and a passion ice tea. That could be done in about 5 minutes, right? No such luck. People who had a different waitress and were seated long after we were, got their drinks and appetizers before our waitress ever came to our table! I had to get up from the table to go find a waitress, then had to get up again to ask for a manager, when our waitress never showed. The manager was very apologetic and comped us dessert and even delivered a free soup and salad(that we didn’t eat), but the service never got any better. Our waitress had ruined what was supposed to be a special night out. By the way, our total time from arrival to leaving was over 2 hours to 2 ½ hours. All of that said, I love their avocado egg rolls($ 11), chicken madeira($ 18), and bang, bang chicken and shrimp($ 18). I think everyone loves their extensive menu, but make sure you get a great server or no matter how good the food is, it won’t be worth the visit.

I love cheesecake and I love appetizers. I don’t know why people always dislike chain restaurants. I like that I can have the exact same thing, when I want it, in different locations all over the Bay Area. The grilled artichokes or crab wontons are a good go to for appetizers. Who can say no to their bread basket or salads?! The fish tacos weren’t anything special and of course, we didn’t have any room for dessert. My favorites have to be the original strawberry and red velvet cheesecakes. So good. I really want a slice of each right now, just thinking about it!
