Ohmygodthesaltedmacaronisepic. So good I slurred. So good it just comes out as one word. So good I just need another one NOW. Dang that thing was tasty. I limited myself to one. I chose the salted caramel since its the most popular. I’m so glad I did. Everything about it is on point. The center is super delicious caramel… That’s all you need to know. If you like caramel, just buy one, or three, or twelve and send me twelve. ;) I’m sure their other flavors are great. I will return to try more soon!!!(I can add exclamation points all day because I’m so enthusiastic).

Every time I go to Palo Alto, I can’t resist picking up some macaroons from this place. I usually get the 6 for $ 12.50, since it comes with the box. I think if you buy them individually, it cost $ 2.15. The price is very reasonable, since I seen macaroons costing around $ 2.50-$ 3. They like to change the flavors once in awhile, but the classic are always available. My 3 top favorites are… — Raspberry, Rose, & Lychee — Persian Rose — Jasmine Green Tea

The cousins wanted CREAM but we wanted the honey and I wanted something else. Luckily this cute store is just right next to CREAM. They featured great tasting macaroons. Tried the lavender and sea salt caramel and it was delicious. Super Soft and just enough sweetness. Non lines when it’s close to closing at 8 pm which is perfect. Would definitely come back here and try the other flavors.

I have always been a fan of Chantal Guillon since I first moved to palo alto! Basically good quality macarons at reasonable price. They have seasonal flavors for spring 1) chocolate orange was a bit weird 2) lemon is nice … A bit bitter! My all time favorites are 1) salted caramel 2) rose 3) pistachio The shell is perfect and the jam can be a bit experimental(like the chocolate orange seasonal one) but if you stick to the classic ones, you wont be disappointed

Love, love, love macarons and this place! They changed things up a bit and added a real nice seating area with such great décor all around. I just love the simplicity and clean look of the place. White all around with little bits of color here and there. They always change up their macaron flavors so it’s not guaranteed that they’ll have the same flavors that you like. The service is always super friendly as well. We’re always greeted with nothing but smiles! The flavors of the macarons is perfect too. I haven’t ever had the actually true macarons to compare but the flavors of this place is not too sweet but not too bland. The macaron shells are the perfect texture; they’re not dried, they don’t crumble down, they’re not too chewy. Just perfect! I definitely do try to stop by whenever I’m in the area. Always always always! Just can’t get enough of this place.

I love the macarons at Chantal Guillon! I’ll admit, I used to not understand the appeal of macarons. But after a visit to Ladurée in Paris, I finally understood the value of these delicate little desserts. I discovered Chantal Guillon soon after returning from the fateful trip to Paris, and was impressed with the quality of their macarons. I definitely found them to be on par with what I got in France. I now stop in to the store anytime I make it that far down on University Ave(or at least just within a few blocks!). Each macaron is $ 2.15, which is pretty standard and reasonable. I usually just get two to eat right away, and love to try all of the flavors they have — which there are a lot of! Rose is my personal favorite, although I just had the seasonal hazelnut flavor, which was really great too. Downtown Palo Alto really was a wealth of good dessert places, but Chantal Guillon is unlike any of the others. There’s tons of ice cream places and now more and more boba shops, but if you’re looking for something different, Chantal Guillon is the place to go.

+ THEFOOD SOMUCHWIN. I love Chantal for their unique flavors! My favorites were the rose macaron and the raspberry, lychee, rose macaron. They are so delicious and really capture the essence of rose flavor. I wish I could order literally all the flavors because they all sounded so good. I definitely will be back to try more! + THEPRICES The prices are really not that bad here. I’ve seen very mediocre macarons being sold for nearly $ 3 and I would say these macarons are very high quality and very affordable.

3.5 Stars! Let’s start off stating the fact that I’m a dessert snob. I’ve always usually made my own french macs until recently, when I decided to try professional made macs at specialty stores just to compare mine with professionals(not saying that I’m a pro at all — I’m a decent amateur). This was my 3rd stop on my french mac tour. hahaha. I’ve actually had this french mac shop on my bookmarks for awhile now and since I was in the hood — I decided OH, what the heck. AND it was national french mac day, and I knew they were giving out 1 free mac to the first 150 costumers who follow them on IG. MACS: I ended up paying $ 12.50÷13 so it wasn’t too bad. But $ 12.50÷12 normally, is priceier than most french mac shops. I got the following(from my fav to least): 1) Sea Salt caramel = I’m not even a fan of caramel, but this one wasn’t too sweet and loved the gold paint on the mac 2) Pistachio — the most flavorful one I’ve tasted out of 3 shops. I could tell the shell isn’t made of pistachio nuts 3) Red Velvet — tasted like a crunchy red velvet cupcake 4) Spice Road — very great spice flavor! 5) Green Apple Caramel — tasted more of the green apple than caramel 6) Vanilla — nothing too special 7) Jasmine Green Tea — I was most excited about this one and also most disappointed. I couldn’t taste the tea flavor at all. Overall, their texture is spot on! Perfectly crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. I REALLY wanted to give them a 4 stars but because some of their flavors were lacking, I’m giving them a 3.5 star. AMBIANCE: Simplistic, clean and very interesting wall décor. Love their displays! SERVICE: Good service and very patient when you’re deciding on the macs you want. Overall, not a place I’ll go out of my way to visit. Would only come back if they have unique rotating flavors that catch my eyes.

THESTARSON UnilocalAREREAL! I was so skeptical seeing 4 and a half stars for this place. I’ve had good macarons and I’ve had bad ones so what the hell, why not give this place a shot. Got a box of 6 macarons for $ 12.50 and BEST $ 2BITES! Macarons are like snooty luxury Oreos. But they are so good when done right. The softness and consistency was so perfect. My eyes probably rolled back as I was eating them. Wow. 5⁄5 no doubt. They know what they’re doing here and they do it well. Highly recommend red velvet.

I LOVELOVELOVECHANTALGUILLON! They have the best macarons ever! Seriously, hands down. It’s sweet, fluffy and melts in your mouth. I realllyyy do the commute just to come here. Since I do not really like the fruit stuff, I always get(2 each) of the Tahitian Vanilla, Red Velvet, Salted Carmel, Almond, Pistachio & Hazelnut. The total would be 26 $ for a dozen.

Let’s start with the fact that I’m not even that much of a fan of macarons. I rarely eat sweets and I’m pretty picky about it too. .But somehow the macarons at Chantal Guillon always blows me away! I have yet to try a flavor that wasn’t great. This last trip I picked up a 6 pieces box. I got… Salted Caramel –amazing, my fav! Jasmine Green Tea Persian Rose –light, florally Red Velvet Italian Pistachio –creamy! Love. Lavender & Blackcurrant –subtle lavender flavor with a little tang from the blackcurrant The assortment comes in. 2 pieces $ 4.90 6 pieces box $ 12.50 12 piece box $ 25.00 26 piece box $ 53.00 What I like is that they’re readily waiting for you to make your choices as you browse through their macaron selection, which are nicely displayed behind glass. Once you decide which box set you want, they follow you as you name off your chosen flavors. Every macaron you pick, they place it in the box and let you know how many you have left to pick. Makes its so simple! The macarons are really soft when you buy it straight from the store because they’re sitting at room temperature. I like my macaron cool and chewy, so I take mine home and refrigerate them for 10−15minutes and the texture becomes amazing! You can always ask one of the girls about the shelf life of your macarons. They’ll give you helpful suggestions on how to store them. The box the macarons are packaged in are pretty sturdy too! .also it’s down the street from the main downtown area of Palo Alto with all the restaurants. So it’s a great place to grab a little dessert or togo! All in walking distance. :)

The macarons here are delicious and addicting. They’re definitely a treat since they’re on the pricier side, but so worth it! $ 12.50 for a box of 6. They all have the perfect texture — crisp shell, and chewy on the inside. Salted caramel is the best flavor they offer. I also really like the coffee and red velvet. I try to get different flavors every time I visit, but I’d be totally satisfied with a box full of salted caramel macarons.

Went there at lunch time on Saturday. The place was not crowded. Nobody there in fact. There were three of us and we ordered a 12 pack of Macaroons to share, 2 each. They were all quite delicious. I can’t recall all of them and each of us had a favorite. I liked the champagne flavored and passion fruit. We also had a pistachio one which had some cinnamon and nutmeg. Quite interesting and tasty. When we asked the counter person about what was in the pistachio one she went and asked the baker about what ingrediant and then came back to us with an answer. A bonus point for that. Later, she gave us a free gingerbread macaroon which we split three ways. It also was very delicous and I appreciate the free gesture. A bonus point for that. This is not a meal place. You buy some macaroons and sit with coffee/beer/drink and enjoy. I can’t speak to parking as we were walking around and just stopped by. But, it is in Palo Alto and I find parking always a challenge there. I like the store and would come back if I were on foot and in the neighberhood.

Been coming here for a while and it’s up to par with my fave down in SoCal– Lette Macarons. I’d say it’s the best here in the Bay. Suggested flavors: almond amaretto, salted caramel, pistachio, green tea, vanilla, and usually their flavor of the month/season. :) TIP: when on University Ave., turn on Kipling, there will be a free parking lot to your left. :)

Unique flavors of macarons, high quality ingredients and cute packaging? Count me in! I originally heard about the Chantal Guillon in San Francisco but was pleasantly surprised to see Chantal Guillon when roaming around downtown Palo Alto. After lunch, I couldn’t resist but to enter this cute little shop to get some macarons. The place is very bright and has a pure look to it. The macarons are all set up in glass display cases which are easy to see through and read. Every macaron is clearly labeled and the pricing is on the back board. There are so many unique flavors that I have never seen before. It’s exciting to try the flavor combinations that they have so I decided on a box of six + one extra. Persian Rose — Lovely rose flavor to it. Not overpoweringly strong. So light and aromatic! Dark Chocolate — To die for if you love dark chocolate. This one is rich and has the perfect balance between sweet and bitter. Raspberry/Lychee — Raspberry filled center which was luscious and fruity. Lychee is a little less prominent in this, but the flavor is present but subtle. Lavender/Black Currant — Both flavors are present. The black currant is a nice fruity flavor that compliments the lavender accents. Almond Amaretto — One of my favorites! Great almond flavor and very light. Chocolate/Orange — Chocolate is a bit overpowering compared to orange, but still a good macaron especially if you like those chocolate truffles that are infused with orange. Green Tea — Can never go wrong with a great matcha macaron. Nice strong green tea flavor. Texture wise, these macarons are spot on. They are chewy on the inside and have a perfect crisp shell. Filling wise, the macarons have a great amount of filling. However, the filling can be inconsistent sometimes. In my Persian Rose macaron, the filling did not cover the entire shell. The girl there was really nice and patient and boxed my macarons beautifully. Macarons are priced like anywhere else($ 2 – 2.50 per). Overall, Chantal Guillon provides some of the best macarons I have ever tried. The texture is perfect and I appreciate the unique flavors!

WARNING: You will not be able to eat fewer than three macarons in one sitting. Repeat, macarons are so delicious that you will NOT be able to resist temptation. My trip to Chantal Guillon took a total of four minutes. There was not another soul in the shop when I arrived. Staff was ready to help and kind. After perusing the flavors, I decided to stay safe and order flavors I knew I’d enjoy: chocolate, coffee, and salted caramel. CHOCOLATE: As a lover of all things chocolate, I enjoyed every bite of this macaron. I do wish the flavor was a bit richer. COFFEE: Least favorite of the three. Will swap for another flavor next visit, but glad I tried it. SALTEDCARAMEL: By far the most beautiful and flavorful. It was perfection. Full flavor, silky texture, and so, so yummy. Sad that I only purchased six. Could have easily ate them all in one sitting, but did not want to live with that guilt on top of the guilt of spending $ 12 on cookies & realizing this will probably become a regular purchase.

Oh man I’m such a macaroon addict! A friend referred me to come here whenever I’m in the Palo Alto area. So I decided to come here during my lunch break. The selection of macaroons they have are amazing. Some selections they have are pistachios, guava, passion fruit, red velvet, green tea, etc. They customer service was great and Nicholas was very helpful. He answered my questions very kindly. The store was very neat and clean. This is one of my favorite macaroon locations thus far.

The short: Delicious macarons! The store front window is so cute and the interior is so hip, clean, and modern. There are so many flavors to choose from! I wanted to try them all! Nom nom nom. I tried the: ++ Lavender and blackcurrant: Nice lavender taste though can be too sweet for some people. ++ Raspberry, lychee and rose: light sweetness Each macaron had a nice bite/crunch on the outside and the ganache/creamy filling melted so beautifully on my tongue. I really wish I could place all the macarons side by side to see which I like better. Chantal is definitely a must-go if you’re in the area.

I wanted a little something sweet post our lunch at Evvia and saw this place pop up on Unilocal.Macarons are little puffs of almond meal goodness and I’m always looking for a good one. Chantal Guillon is located right next to Sushirrito… you’ll see the gigantic line that’s formed in front. When you go inside, it’s quite white and very french. The servers are a bit too mellow for my taste in the mellow, I’m better than you way which is kind of a turn off. We decided to pick up just a couple as $ 2.15 for a macaron is kind of steep. What’s the verdict? The rose lychee and passion fruit flavors were very strong and concentrated and not that much cream in the actual macaron. The macaron was very very fragile and very hollow. I’m not sure if this is supposed to be the case, but it’s not my preference. I like my macaron with some substance and a thicker cream with a hint of flavor. Would I come back? Unlikely. It was good to try but I won’t be taking special trips to Palo Alto just for this macaron.
