I love Teavana. I go all the time, all over Los Angeles. And this was the worst experience I have ever had. Terrible customer service. Worst Ever! Every Time I go, I always order a Matcha tea with Honey. First red flag, the woman went in the back to make my tea and asked if I wanted cream in it? cream? Since when does Teavana carry cream? Next, when I took a sip. It was scolding hot and I seriously burned my mouth. I put my hand over my mouth and said to the woman«wow this is way too hot, I just burned my mouth«. She just starred at me. I then asked if I could get some ice. She said of course, I can put it in your drink. I said no thank you, it’s for my mouth. It’s burnt. She said nothing. No apology. Then they tried to charge me $ 8.00. My mouth dropped. With tax it is usually $ 5.44. I told her that the price was outrageous. But I guess it didn’t matter since I had a free drink on my app. They couldn’t scan my app and wouldn’t honor my free drink. Said its a computer thing. I said«really?». She then said annoyingly to me, just take it! Too funny. She was annoyed with me? Honestly? They over heated my drink, burnt my mouth, tried to way overcharge me, and she was annoyed with me. I told her no thank you, I really don’t want the drink at all anymore. And it would have been nice if someone had apologized for burning my mouth. I told her to have a nice day and left. I have never left a bad review anywhere before. Usually no need, things happen. But this was ridiculous. I did call corporate. They agree with me on all of these points. Again, I love Teavana. Unfortunately this store, not so much.

I go to this location 1 – 2 times a year. The staff is great and I love their creativity for blending teas. Is it pricey… a bit. But well worth it.

The staff at this store is very informative about tea, it’s flavors, benefits, brewing, suggestions, etc. Madeline is the kindest, friendliest of them all, and she doesn’t try to up-sell at all! She listened to what I was looking for in a tea beverage and perfectly recommended excellent tea choices for me! I’ll be back soon for more of her recommendations! Lovely location as well!

Before I walked in, I imagined the Teavana staff to bother me into buying stuff and keep up selling to me. It was not like that at all. We walked in, they didn’t bother us one single bit, Traci welcomed us and enjoyed our interest in tea. She was very attentive and didn’t mind helping us sniff every tea they had in store. OMG the tea smelt so good and tasted so good, yes it’s edible! We tried so many samples it was amazing tea and amazing customer service. We felt comfortable and it made us want to buy stuff which my sister did. They make drinks to go too! A bit expensive but worth it. I’m new to the tea trying to get myself to start drinking tea and this is the way to go. I came in telling Traci I’m a beginner at tea! And she helped me pick out a drink I like. They also have tea classes which are starting this month I believe September 14. I can’t wait to go back and have Traci serve us. Good job!

I love teavana first of all! Their teas are fantastic and I especially love the green tea blends and the chai! I went in a couple of days ago and was helped out by Tracey! She went over and beyond so I really appreciated that. She made lots of recommendations and I bought nearly all of them haha. She also showed me what was on sale and I bought this gift set that my husband went crazy for. I actually went back yesterday and bought another gift set because we love it so much. I used to order online, but Tracey told me to call her and place my order instead and she would take very good care of my order! Now, that’s service. I will no longer go through online, actually I had such a great experience I’ll just be back! Thank you for the great service!

I have mixed feelings while giving this review. I have been a faithful Teavana customer for many, many years. Prior to their P.D. location I would go out of town or order on-line. I am appalled Starbucks has taken over! They have already changed so many things from a corporate level it’s only a matter of time before there is a Teavana on every corner, like McDonalds, not a good thing. They no longer list health benefits nor caffeine intake. The staff at this location — probably the worst at any Teavana I’ve experienced. Not all of them, just management — which is the most unfortunate. I’ve heard they have outstanding customer service for returns(after years — I’ve never returned anything!) until now. Word of advice — don’t buy anything glass! It’s odd they’ll take tea back without question — but product you have to fight for. The corporate office is the only person who helped me, in-store I was treated terribly. I honestly think I’m going to order loose-leaf tea elsewhere on-line. Word to the wise if you can’t find your receipt(even though your item is stamped Teavana) you cannot be helped. Definitely not Nordstrom customer service. The lady who sold it to me was standing behind the counter. If you spend $ 175.00 on a teapot, which later goes on sale to $ 15.00 — that’s all their giving you! Whatever happened to the customer is always right? I never asked for my money back! All I wanted was the exact same teapot in exchange to the cracked one(safety hazard) btw, they were selling the same teapot still — full price! I would have also happily taken store credit as well. The staff needs to be more professional, based on the upscale location and not treat the customer condescendingly.

The tea salesmen are always so nice and very knowledgable. They were able to tell me about the notes, origins, procedure and almost everything youd like to know about tea. Questions, Concerns? Go for Teavana.

I’m new to tea. so this store has opened up a whole new world to me. I had no idea steeping was so delicate, so sensitive to temperature, time, and context(the kettle, the teapot, the cup). I’m in love with this new art, and all the health benefits are an added plus. After my positive experience at this particular Teavana, I immediately went on-line to learn more about the company. I was surprised to read all the negative reviews out there about the hard sell and pricing bait-and-switch experienced by other customers. Maybe other stores have this problem, but I found none of this at the El Paseo location. The staff were well-informed, friendly, and gave us honest answers and options to suit our needs. I didn’t want to invest in a huge amount of tea right off, so I got a small serving in a bag. No tin. I knew that it would be better stored in an air-tight container, but I got a small enough portion that I could drink it within the week. I’m happy. And I’ll go back. I may not invest in their air-tight tins(I could probably find better ones, along with kettles and tea pots, elsewhere), but I made that decision based on the information the staff gave me. Happy/Happy. Win/Win.

These folks know their tea! Staff are friendly and will patiently explain in detail the benefits of the various products offered. Lots of samples to enjoy. Super fresh tea is sold in bulk, by the ounce and is priced like other leafy substances sold in bulk by the ounce. Worth a visit.

From the greeter to the store clerk, they had helpful and patient staff prepared to assist you in tasting all there prepare teas, hot or cold and all uniquely blended.
I have visited other Teavana stores in major malls and their selection of teas that they have prepared for sampling always delicious with great flavor and robust tastes. The El Paseo store is however, small and quaint but in a very upscale area. On the downside, their teas and teas paraphernalia is very expensive.

I have been looking for a place like this for some time. It just smells so great when you walk in, and they have lots of different fresh, aromatic teas and blends. They also have a few hot and cold you can try, which is great. The tea is NOTCHEAP, but they have a large selection and the staff was friendly and very helpful. They have a website, but the next time I am in Palm Springs, I will be back. Recommended.

It’s a real shame they won’t make you a cup of tea to try before you buy. Their products are very expensive and the tea is not returnable. This is a nice corporation but not a well run store.

Great store. Tea is the all-time best Chinese invention. Unlike, the Chinese tea stores Teavana goes all fusion with its high-end fruit blends priced per ounce. If you want to sample some quality fruit infusions the store has a 3 – 4 different sample urns for you to try. I dare you to try and not want to buy a little bag to take home. The store is tiny, do don’t all rush at once!

Great place to buy tea. Very informed and educated staff. A little on the expensive side with teas up to $ 28+ for 2OZ but is surely the best tea in town. Give it a shot…
