Donuts are amazing but coffee is always empty and the lady that works there is so rude. Definitely needs some customer service training. She is lazy never keeps up with making coffee and the place is dirty. Sorry will not be giving her my business.

I’m a sucker for a couple of places, donut shops and dive bars. Both places don’t have much in common, except the prospect for overindulgence. Right now, on the fly, I’m thinking I need to write a coffee table book. I’ll call it, «Donuts & Dive Bars.» Total winner, right? So I was blowing out of La Quinta in the early AM headed to a meeting one hundred miles away. As I got on my way, I saw two places in the general area to provide me fuel for my journey, Starbucks and Swiss Donuts. On a normal day, my breakfast isn’t a deep fried ball-O-batter with glaze on it. This day, a caffine boost, chased by a sugary donut, seemed like the chemicals my body needed to get me started on my long drive. With a Venti Americano in hand, I stopped by Swiss Donuts. In a way, the name of the place had me hooked. What, if anything, in the Coachella Valley is related to Switzerland? Try nothing. I thought to myself, if I walk in the door and the cashier is wearing an Alpine hat, I’m gonna f’n die. Inisde the door and there’s no hat. Darn. Behind the counter was a gal who looked a little haggard. Maybe she’d been up since 3:00AM working the deep fryer, who knows? The donut selection wasn’t the greatest, so I went with a standard twist, which looked like it was fresh and it might still have some crunch in it. The price was a semi-steep $ 1.25. The verdict, after all of my banter, is I’d rate the donut as an average«5» or more appropriately«neutral»(on a scale of 1 – 10 with 10 being the best gut bomb I ever ate). Now, had Swiss Donut been piping in some catchy folk music from the old country and my cashier been clad in a Pinocchio style hat with a feather, this review would have easily climbed to 5 stars. Aufwiedersehen Swiss Donut

Tasty, top-notch donuts! Get there early though. I arrived around 9 a.m. and saw less than a dozen donuts left behind the window. Grabbed the spice donut with vanilla glaze. It was still warm! Very tasty, light but slightly crispy around the edges. Best donut I’ve had in a long, long time.

I wouldn’t say I’m a donut connoisseur, but the pastries here are the best deep-fried artisan delicacies anyone could expect from a donut shop. They have the classic glazed, maple, jelly, bear claws, crumb, old fashioned, and more. I ordered 15 dozen to treat some of my customers going to Coachella/Stagecoach, and they were all stoked on the quality of these freshly made donuts. Definitely check it out.

Outstanding donuts — undoubtedly made from first quality batter. Swiss Donuts provides donuts as they should taste.

I went here for the first time this morning to grab some donuts for the office. I got there past 8am and there was no one in line… by the time I left with my box of donuts there was a line out the door!!! I tasted a few of the donuts and they were fresh and so, so, so delicious! I never buy donuts so not sure what a good price is, but i paid 11 bucks for a dozen. Wonderful donuts! Will definitely return! :)

OMG, stopped by this place while on vacation… best maple donuts i have ever had!!! They were big, fluffy with crunchy edge and covered in maple glaze. They offer a version filled with custard(be still my heart). Reminded me of bakeries that used to exist when i was a kid. The apple fritter was indredible, crunchy, lots of apples and glaze. Now that i’m back on the east coast, i’m dreaming of my next trip to Palm Desert/La Quinta. The prices were a bargain, especially considering how fresh/delicioius their treats were. You must try this place.
