Food is OK! Hostess had an attitude problem and so did the waitress and servers. But I order the 2egg biskit and gravy it was ok, it is a small portion for $ 9.75 but not only that I had asked for egg whites not the waitress did not mention that it would be a $ 1.50 extra like many restaurant I have been too they all have told me that is an extra charge. My bill came to $ 25.06 for my boy and me which is ridiculous for the portion size. I will not be returning to there crap service.

The food at CJ’s is outstanding, I had the breakfast burrito and it was one of the best I’ve had. The only reason I’m not giving CJ’s 5 stars is the disjointed service, maybe it was just a Sunday morning thing, the service until I got a menu and then after I received the bill detracted from what was an excellent meal.

Great little diner in the desert! Clean and friendly atmosphere– the food was great– the service was excellent. Our waitress checked in with us repeatedly and kept our coffee cups full. This is a great little spot– the menu isn’t overwhelmingly large which I like. The French toast was very good and they have an option to build your own omelet which my husband loved. We will be back for sure!

Best fries and brocolli soup I’ve had! Service was great and super kind! I loved it here! It’s a bit hidden/hole in a wall type but so glad I found and experienced this place!

The food was good. But the service was very bad. The only one helping me was the busser. He was good. Other then that the service sucked. Did not get asked if i needed anything. Other then the busser asking me. And i hate when i was here before everyone else, and they get there food before me. And they had a lot bigger table… not happy…

Long over due review. Our favorite spot down the street from where we live. This place is beautiful with a grate view, service is wonderful it’s a locals joint, food is simple, but man they have the recipes down to a point. My mouth is watering just thinking about this place.

Dined here around noon on a weekday and somehow stayed a little over 2 hours because the service was terrible. An hour had passed, still hadn’t gotten our food, and they tell us there was no more gravy for biscuits and gravy. So we wait another 30 minutes for a meal that essentially took 10 – 15 minutes tops to eat. At one point I asked a different waitress about our food and she blew me off and told me to find my waitress. Terrible service and the food was nothing special. Never coming here again nor do I recommend this garbage diner.

We disagreed on the rating. …she, 1 star. Me, three stars. …so the compromise rating. This is really nothing special. Standard diner, standard fare, standard service. …nothing above average. The reason for the 1 star, was eggs were undercooked, soggy toast from too much butter, delivery of food was erratic, service was lackluster. Others may have said best in the desert, but definitely still average at best in my book.

I have been here any times in the past, but it has been a few years since my last visit. I wish I kept it that way. I ordered the French Dip. What I got was a very dry sandwich(the au jus didn’t help) the French fries were cold the replacement fries were under cooked, was never asked if I wanted a refill of my Iced Tea or if I wanted anything else. Stay away at all costs

A must have, if your visiting the Coachella Valley or a resident. Everything we had was soo good. Down fall they close early. 2PM. One of the deserts best kept secrets.

Place is awesome for both breakfast and lunch. Staying at the JW Marriott villas and its .7 miles away-hidden but close ! Waffles and Ruben –killer!

Sat at the counter and saw the hectic server and kitchen… the team work hard and are friendly and very attentive. Customers seem to be served within minutes of arrival and they were busy today. I ordered a typical breakfast; eggs, bacon etc. The food was good, but the bacon came a little well done for my taste. My pet hate in some diners is the weak and tasteless coffee, but CJ’s coffee was excellent. Overall 4 stars, come and visit this out of the way diner, it truly is a hidden gem.

Dined here on the morning of Valentines Day. The service was outstanding, friendly and polite. Had breakfast which was good as it gets for a diner. The dishes were good but I wouldn’t say it «knocked my socks off.» I’m rating this based on the the customer service. A red rose was given to my wife as we departed the diner which was a pleasant surprise. I would recommend dining here.

Great service and good food! Had the chicken fried steak with 2 eggs over easy on an English muffin and a fresh glass of orange juice. I was in a food coma! Great little breakfast spot that’s completely off the trail.

For an off the beaten path diner we were very impressed! Great food and service. Clean and clearly it’s where the locals hang out. Don’t miss it when you’re passing thru Palm Springs!!!

CJ’s Diner is in the middle of nowhere, but conveniently close to the Marriott. The place closes early, so get there and order before 2 pm. The service at CJ’s is great. Very friendly and quick. The place is clean, but not much of an ambiance — just what you’d expect from a diner in the middle of nowhere. The food is fine. Some of the items were actually very good. Their fries are double fried, so they come out super crispy and delicious. Their broccoli soup was yummy as well. Their chicken fingers were crispy and not frozen. So I appreciate that they make their food fresh. However, their bbq chicken salad was drenched in dressing and wasn’t my favorite. The sandwiches looked decent, but not exceptional.

The best American diner I ever been to. The service is great and friendly, the vibes is calm and peaceful, well until we walk in and food hit the spot. I must come back.
