One of my favorite places that I lived at. The apartment was nice although the walls were super thin and I could hear all my neighbors around me. The laundry machines ate my money a bunch so with those two factors I had to give 4 instead of 5 stars. The grounds are kept clean and the staff was always friendly. I didn’t have to stop in the office much but they always remembered me which was nice. There is a small dog park which my dog loved! It was a great place to mingle with neighbors while our dogs played. When I lived there they updated the window and the balconies which was nice. There is a great forest preserve across the street and downtown Palatine is not far away, making the location great.

Tu valoración: 5 Buffalo Grove, IL
Hi guys, I’ve lived in the Gates of Deer Grove for the past 3 years after moving to IL from Florida. I’m posting 5 stars with your understanding that this is for an appt complex not a house. The front office has always been exceptionally helpful. If there was something wrong, they were there the same day, next day at the latest, to fix it. You can have dogs here also. I know how hard it can be sometimes to find a place that lets you live with your large dog(s). We’ve got a 120 lb akita and a 60 lb mutt and we were charged a minimal amount monthly to live here with the dogs. There are tons of neighbors with dogs and it makes for a very friendly atmosphere. They also have a little fenced in area for the dogs which is great to let the dogs get out and run around a little bit. My wife and I just bought a house and that is the only reason we are leaving. We got extremely lucky when we found«The Gates» in our pre-move visit back in April of 07′. My wife is even someone who likes to move a lot when it comes to living in appt complexes and this is the place that settled her down. We personally never had any security issues. Our car has been parked outside for 3 years with no problems. It is also in a nice little suburban neighborhood that is nestled amongst houses with all kinds of nice people. Kids playing, dogs barking, fireplaces… firing. It really is a nice starter place if you aren’t ready to buy, but want to feel at home. Our neighbors are all pretty nice and we’ve even met some of our better friends in Illinois out here. Great food options all around you as well. I always felt as if Palatine was a nice hub in the Northern suburbs. The«North Shores» think its far away, but it’s really not. We are like 20 minutes from Deerfield and 15 minutes from Barrington, Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates. I welcome any questions from anyone who may be on the hunt. I will add that price-wise I’ve always felt we were treated fairly. They never jacked our rent up. The second year they actually offered to make it lower, then the third year it went up like 10 or 15 bucks. I’ve always felt I’m going to pay about a dollar per square foot regardless and this is pretty close to falling in line. Some appts that is exactly what it is, some its a little more, but overall this is a really solid place to live. Good luck in your housing/apartment hunt and I hope I’ve been of some assistance or can be in the future. Thanks to the Gates of Deer Grove for making«shelter» one less thing to have to worry about in these crazy lives we live.
