I went to Toby Keith’s for lunch with co-workers and I can say it pretty spacious for a restaurant. There is a guitar shaped bar in the middle, a big stage(I think they use it on the weekends), a bunch of flat screen TVs around, big barrels on the waiting area, and of course COWBOY looking girls which is an instant plus one star for them. :) Anyways, we went twice already and we had the same experience: WAITING, for a little longer than usual. I mean the food is Ok, not bad and not good somewhere in the middle. I realized that I am getting full drinking water and watching TV then the food will come cold. Sorry you need improvement.

Meh. Really just«meh». I’m not the hugest fan of country so the loud blaring songs about pick em ups and tight jeans didn’t really help sell the atmosphere for me. I’m sure good ol’ country boys would be right at home. The food is. Meh. Forgettable. Not horrible. but not anything you’d take your friends out to try. The staff is really nice and accommodating. The whole place is just… meh. I don’t see it lasting more than a few years.

This was the first time I’ve been here. Came with some of my friends who’ve been here before. First thing I noticed was that it seemed like country hooters theme. Cute cute. So we were seated. It wasn’t that busy, so I was expecting to get a drink already but it took awhile. We ordered pickled fries which were great. We ordered wings, side salads, and the mac&cheese. The order came. We were missing an order of salad and wings and celery sticks. Once we told them, the waitress brought it out about 5 – 7 minutes later. The salad took awhile to come out after all the wings came. Our wings were cold as well and for some reason the Mac & Cheese didn’t taste right. The waitresses weren’t quite as friendly but to an extent it was ok. By the end of the night, we told them how the food tasted and she gave us 2 free dessert that’s why they got 2 stars. For my first time being here, it wasn’t all that great. I don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon. I rather just have gotten a discount.

I won’t say love but a very strong like. We were there for change of shift and had the two most adorable bartenders, ever. I don’t think they hire anyone over 25. Ernie and Nicole were as pleasant as could be. You could not ask for more attentive service. We were there at Happy Hour: the drinks that were included in the specials were nothing I wanted, well drinks and domestic beer, there is also a discount on wine. We ordered a specialty Margarita, When did it become O.K. to put a margarita on the rocks in a pint glass. Who wants a pint of margarita? A 22 year-old, thats who. I switched to the Figueroa Mountain Hoppy Poppy, a delicious IPA. The draft was cold and served in a chilled glass. We took advantage of the $ 2 chicken wings(honey BBQ and Traditional Buffalo and loved them, The fried pickles were delicious, no surprise. The star of the night was the Bacon– wrapped Shrimp and grits, { not included in the happy hour specials) but one of the best things I have eaten this year. Crispy lean bacon surrounds 4 plump shrimp, over cheesy grits. i almost ordered a second one, because I had to share. There are some deals to be had here, but my mom always says, if you wouldn’t pay full price then its no a deal. We were happy with the regular priced things we had. The dinner menu looked good but we filled up on appetizers and beer. The prices seem a little high for a place that calls itself a bar. We will be back, loved that beer and the Shrimp&Grits.

To start off this was our first time to visit Toby Keith’s. We were so excited and when we arrived the ambiance felt great with country music playing, guitars on the wall. Waitresses wearing short shorts and cowboy boots. heeee dawgee… We went on Tuesday at 6pm which is a big NONO, because for an hour and a half we had to listen to a sales pitch on Nerium facial products. WTF. Our whole experience was ruined. For ANHOURAND A HALF, we had to listen to this freaking infomercial. We were told that every Tuesday is like that. The Dollar special Margaritas were saturated with margarita mix. When we got the food, it was cold. Such a bummer when this place has such great potential. Later that night, my girlfriend and I found ourselves drinking tons of water. We were so dehydrated from all the sodium in the food. yuck! I love toby keith but I did not love this bar…

Came here on a Friday night at about 11 or so and it wasn’t that packed surprisingly. There was still a small cover to get it but totally worth it. There is a huge bar in the middle of the venue and off to one side is a stage. The band was playing all the newest and most popular country songs and man they were good. They had everyone dancing and having a great time.

The location is ideal for drinks and to watch a concert. Food is not that great. Order two meat combo to share. The potion were kinda of small compared to other bbq places. I didn’t like how the pulled pork appears to be reheat on a flat grill and the brisket was really fatty. Another guest order a beef brisket sandwich. They pour bbq sauce all over the bread it was impossible to make a sandwich. Had to give he our texas toast on my plate to make a sandwich.

I have wanted to go here since this place opened. We went on Monday night where there were many appetizers on special for $ 1.00. That said… some of the food was not served very warm. The entrees were ok… nothing too special. The place was pretty empty so it was unfortunate that they were not able to provide first rate food items to those who were there. The waitress was adorable and very attentive. She was easily the best part of the experience.

As you may know, Toby Keith is a country music superstar and Great American. Good food, clean restaurant. I’ve been to the one in Rancho Cucamonga and Vegas and actually saw Toby Keith there last year before one of his concerts! Went here for lunch yesterday. Food was good. I will say, i was here for lunch and so we had no problems with service as it wasn’t crowded. Burgers are good but mine with onion rings and bacon was too big and bum fell apart right away so I had to use a fork. I don’t like when burgers or burritos that are supposed to be eaten with your hands fall apart. This is why I love«Burger Bar» in Fullerton. Not too big, but big enough and delicious! But again it was a good burger. Pulled pork sandwich was good but had too many onion strings on it kind of killing the pulled pork flavor. Barbecue plate with brisket and chicken, mashed red potatoes was good as well. Good appetizers! Be careful of the nacho plate, they can be huge! They also have a stage where live music is played at night and it gets crazy fun. They also have a very large bar shapes line a guitar in the restaurants. Like motto and Toby’s song says… «I love this bar»! I like supporting a good American who supports our troops and loves this country. Go Toby! Cheers

Never again! I have been here 4 – 5 times & each time the restaurant has been ½ full or less & service had been average at best. Tonight, 1÷22÷15, I went for $ 6 steak night to give it one last try. After waiting over 50 minutes & still no steaks, ONSTEAKNIGHT, with only ½ the restaurant full & three apologies from our server about the wait, my party & I walked out. I asked the server for our bill & while again apologizing for the wait, she proceeded to charge us for the appetizer & drinks we actually did receive. There was no attempt to get us to stay or talk to a manager(I’m assuming people walk out frequently by her reaction.) Lastly, as I walked out and asked for a comment card or number I could call, the lady at the hostess stand hands me a to go menu. Guess it’s par for the course for this place.

I totally do not understand what people are upset about, this place was super fun. A girlfriend and I went out for a fun night without the kids. We were greeted at the door, sat at the door and were promptly asked for our order. Our bartender brought us our drinks pretty quickly. While we were drinking 2 other people came to ask if we needed anything. We ordered an appetizer and 2 different drinks. Food was much better than expected. Drinks were good, not strong, but tasty. Service was outstanding. As we left, the hostesses made sure to say goodbye and wish us a goodnight. If you’re looking for gourmet food and a quiet, peaceful atmosphere, don’t come here. If you want some good bar food, have a few fun drinks and listen to great music, make sure to stop by. We will be back!

Went with a group of friends on a Friday night around 8pm. This place was charging a 5 dollar cover. This is a restaurant not a night club, music was not even playing, no wonder this place was half empty. Since when do restaurants charge cover? We decided to go to the Yard House around the corner and spend our money there. Sorry Toby Keith you missed out on our $ 200 tab for trying to charge a 5 dollar cover.

I was invited out a few months ago and was apprehensive due to the reviews on Unilocal and a few friends who had less than stellar things to say about the staff. But I wasn’t about to pooh pooh an invite and since I love Toby Keith I decided to give it the old college try. We arrived at Noon on a Saturday and were greeted warmly by the staff, we were meeting other people and they helped us locate them. The waitress was friendly and gave us her recommendations on some of the items on the menu. We ordered the Bake Artichoke and Spinach Dip, oh my gosh was it good! The wait time was quick and the refills for our drinks was timely. I had the«Should’ve been a Cowboy» burger, it was so big and so juicy. I couldn’t finish it, took half of it home. When we left they thanked us for coming. A good experience.

Great atmosphere and service. I ordered the Damn Nachos, and you better be hungry or with a group cause is huge and VERY good! Bartender Nicole is very nice and very helpful! She was able to make any drink I asked with a beautiful smile. Dont delay and swing by and give this place a try. You wont be unhappy. Overall…very happy an pleased with this place. I don’t see what others have stated about poor service and food. A+

Don’t go here. I told the bouncer I would like to dine at the restaurant and he charged me $ 10 cover for my wife and I. When we went inside we found it was a 30 minute wait to be seated. We tried to sit at the bar but all the seats were taken. We left after a few minutes and the bouncer refused to refund the cover charge. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – — — — — — Comment from Phil R. of Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar And Grill Business Manager 7÷28÷2014 Andre, We charge a cover Friday and Saturday evening to help us with the live entertainment costs. I’m sorry that you and your wife were not refunded, I will talk this over with the security staff. We hope you and your family will consider giving us the opportunity to serve you in the future. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – — — — — — We notified the bouncer when we arrived that we were only interested in dining at the restaurant and agreed to pay the cover charge. The bouncer made sure we paid the cover charge but did not mention there was a 30 minute wait for a table. The Business Manager’s response above is the same excuse given by the bouncer for not refunding the cover charge, however there was no live entertainment when we paid the cover charge and still no live entertainment by the time we left. My family and I will never consider going back and all my coworkers feel the same.

So just to clarify… since 2 ppl have decided on sending me pm’s…Who, I actually feel sorry for bc their lives must be pretty boring, since they are snooping through Unilocal reviews… Telling me, the bouncer was doing his job and they have rules!!! No sh*t Sherlock !!! The place was DEAD, and NOONE in line!!! And from the 87 reviews and 2 ½ stars… seems like they are going to do really well!!! NOT!!! Also, is this place considered a restaurant or a nightclub? What is it zoned for? If it’s considered just a restaurant then they legally can’t charge you a cover at the door. What permits did they pull exactly with the city??? Would love to know! I love how this«manager» is now commenting on peoples reviews! I esp. Like the one. Where the guy, giving his review said basically that the servers were dressed like«sl*ts* and you expect that more from a Hooters!!! And his reply… wait…for it… he will forward the kitchen staff about it? Huh??? What’s the kitchen staff going to do about it? It’s the companies culture! I looked at an application for employment, at this place… and they want you, to send your pic, along with the app… I think that’s illegal! ??? In fact a company can’t ask you for a photo… bc that would be discrimination?! Only«hired» by the way you look??? Are we back in the 1950’s?(I didn’t apply for a job, I have a job). I was curious and that’s why, I looked it up. So they serve frozen food, their waitresses and bartenders dress like sl*ts, are rude! charge a cover?!(Hopefully legal, if they pulled the correct permits). And charge $ 10 for a buttwiper??? That’s cool, I think, I will pass! I rather go to Yardhouse, Kabuki, famous Dave’s, lazy dog.

Fire your incompetent security staff!!! Specifically, the bald, overweight, guy with his red goatee… He is a lawsuit waiting to happen and nothing but a liability!!! I shouldn’t have to be harassed or questioned about my service animal. My husband raved to me about how awesome this place was. So I wanted to check it out, my first impression of this place dampened by borderline harassment about my service animal. I got so worked up, I burst into tears. Usually I don’t let people get to me about it, but last night was not that time. The bouncer was trying to tell me my dog was a therapy dog. When I was trying to tell him, «No, you’re wrong. It’s a service dog, not a therapy animal, and I am aware of the difference.» I then tried to correct him and let him know he was violating my rights with the American Disability Act, but he seemed to be Mr.(Not)Know-it-all. The manager rushed over and told him it was no problem. By then the damage was done. After calming my nerves I finally ordered their spinach artichoke dip, but barely dented it because my whole experience was ruined by a incompetent staffer. My husband got the American Solider Special and loved it! Their specialty drinks were pretty enjoyable and fun looking. I just hope the next time(if there is a next time), I get better service and their security who gave me problems is either FIRED or trained on how to treat disabled veterans better!

I’m sorry, but whoever Toby Keith is, cowboy NEEDS to do a quality check on what he’s putting his name behind! There’s this new eatery with his name on it, that’s just opened its doors in Oxnard’s The Collection. LOTS of competition to deal with here in this ever expanding outdoor mall in regards to grub options. So, fams was looking for something else than our typical haunts. We decided to do something unusual… sample a newly opened restaurant. Can’t tell it’s Toby Keith’s from the outside currently. There are his initials carved into the lobby hostess desk, for some verification you’ve arrived. But once you’re escorted in, the man’s pics are ALLOVER the place! Okay, no doubt you’ll remember who this chap is with the gratuitous amount of portraits hanging. LOTS of free space inside, so don’t have to worry about disrupting someone else’s day with an unintentional bump, especially with the many video screens distracting you. Menu has nothing that stands out that you couldn’t get from other nearby eateries. So they MUSTDOEVERYTHING amazing to pull everyone in, I assume. Capri was our waitress for the evening, a friendly lass who did her best to make our visit enjoyable. We sampled a few menu items… *CRISPYFRIEDMACARONI&CHEESETRIANGLES: This was our appetizer that arrived at the same time as our meals. Basically Kraft Mac & Cheese battered and deep fried. Eh, complete waste of calories. Even the young squires thought it was weak. *UNDER12MAC&CHEESE: NOTHING original here, basically Kraft Mac & Cheese here, too, spruced up by topping real cheese on it. Eh. *UNDER12MINICORNDOGS: 9 pieces of lil doggies with an ample serving of fries. Problem is, it was WAYTOOSPICY for kids. I put Sriracha on everything and I could even notice how spicy these things were. What The Heck??? *ZESTYLIMEMARGARITACHICKEN: Zesty? Uhh, no. Lime? MAYBE, a slight hint of it. Margarita marinade??? If it makes it taste like UN-marinated chicken, then this was spot on. Also, the chicken tastes like it came from Costco’s frozen chicken breasts. Not fresh at all, and a little gummy. Me thinks not. The spinach bed was minimal and a small serving of grilled buttery veggies came with order. *RIBEYESTEAK($ 29.99): This was supposedly a 14oz. Angus Rib Eye, «EXPERTLY» grilled. The request was to have it prepared«medium rare.» Unfortunately, the experts were taking a break when my steak was being cooked, cuz my beef was prepared firmly«medium.» Well, at least it wasn’t well done. «Toby’s Seasoning» doesn’t really enhance the taste, either. I definitely have had better elsewhere, however, this was the best thing we sampled on this visit. Grilled veggies were definitely buttery, but still crisp. Toby Keith’s crew has GOTTA step up their game, if they wanna keep up with whats goin’ on in The Collection. Much better options than this currently. One nice thing is that KIDSEATFREE everyday.

Waitress gave us great customer service. She was really nice and asked us for refills. Love that they have sports on there flat screens and alcohol. BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich was okay. I would come back to have a drink.
