Long story short: terrible service and I will never come back.
Long story long below.
I don’t write scathing reviews after a first time visit to a place. Especially when the first time is with a free coupon.
But now that this is my second time, and six years later, nothing has changed. The wait staff is non-​existent, the speakers are way too loud, and the floor is absolutely disgusting.
It’s a hockey night so I decided to watch the two Southern California teams battle it out.
The oscars are on the loud speaker and half the tvs. Awesome for the wait staff but this is not the place or the time to be showing that on all the tvs and taking over the sound
We ordered our drinks and then waited ten minutes for the girl to come back and ask for our food. Asked for napkins for my frosty mug at the same time since the condensation was out of control. So I went to the bar to ask for the napkins after half my table was covered in water and the waitress could still not be found.
My sister would have liked to add some wings to her order… After waiting for the waitress to one day return back to our table she went to the bar and ordered them herself.
So I sit here 20 minutes later. Empty drink empty stomach waiting for my food and a beer refill and I am writing this entire article before someone comes to wait on me.
The restaurant is 40% occupancy with three waitresses.
I am watching my once warm sandwich sit on the shelf right now get cold under the heat lamps.
It’s ok though. The owner will have my money this last time and I will never return.

We love to stop here on the way home from camping for a good lunch and a schooner of beer before heading home to unpack and clean up.
The kids like to come here and the Micheladas are delicious!

Alright but very expensive and unfulfilling. Are they trying to be the love child of Buffalo Wild Wings and Hooters? Had burgers and beers. Very expensive although the schooners were a novelty. The burgers were ok but in the end it was a big show with little substance. Not a place I would recommend unless I was like the other Dads who ignored their kids to watch the games.

Whenever I’m in the mood for a good old chili cheese burger this is where I go. The schooner of Lizard’s mouth hits the spot always.

Enjoyed their curly fries! Went to go watch the Dodger game and there were many fans there as well, therefore the atmosphere was great! Just wished their large TV, which was where the dodger game was on, was as clear as the smaller tv’s.

Great buffalo wings, cold beer and a very friendly staff :) Super busy on a Sunday but the service was still great !

I’ve been here many a time. Always felt the attention. Tonight nothing, maybe its rookie night. Staff looked flustered n fumbles. What happened? It’s not football night??? Very disappointed! But the cooks did it right with the BLT!!! Where is the great managers you had before; snooze town. Will try football night if it’s the same finding another sports bar. So sad!

I like this place when I just want to be a local. Great burgers and you can’t beat the ice cold beer. The place oozes Ventura Sports memorabilia to bring its local stars back to life.

Great sports bar with like 15 big TVs and good looking wait staff who hustle and keep their orders straight even when the place is busy. They know their customers by name
Pulled pork sandwich is good

Great good and service! I had the chili dog and it was awesome. I’ve been coming here for years and it is consistently great food and service.

This is one of the better sports bars in town. Prices are good and you can hear the game. Food is well cooked and I like that they always open early and accept groups. The larger your party the better your service. Hey its not a bad thing. Just saying don’t go there as a party of one and expect a lot of touches. You’ll be at the bar.

First time here and I was impressed. The server took her time going over the menu and suggested the Philly Cheese Steak to my girlfriend. She said it was the best she ever had. I had the turkey burger with curly fries and It was very good. We watched a bowl game on what looked like 100 TV’s not a bad seat in the house. 805 on tap and what else can you ask for. We will be going back.

Ice cold and delicious 805 beer in a frosted mug. The bar tenders & servers were super nice and fairly attentive. But the wings. It’s so hard to find good wings in Ventura. I tried their house sauce and the wings were super dried out and no sauce at all. I’ll be back to try something else because it seems like a cool place. I wouldn’t serve dry anything if I was a cook or server but other than that pretty cool spot.

Has potential to be great. Food was good & at reasonable prices. However, ambience wasn’t there. We went for dinner last night and the place was dimly lit on one side of the restaurant. My boyfriend complained how the experience of watching the Lakers game wasn’t great. Menu isn’t very diversed either, I thought they had more choices for wings but they only had one kind. I was honestly disappointed. I was expecting a whole lot more from a sports bar. Love how they have blue moon on tap.

First time at Cronies. Great food, beer and service. Server was Audrey, she was very nice. Took extra time with us and suggested her favorite items. Husband and son enjoyed the many tv’s. Will visit Cronies again and again.

Hands down! Best Beers I ever had in my entire life! They give it to you in a ice cold glass like a slushi. Burgers and Fries are always great. Club sandwich is always great too. Waitresses are always nice and refill are drinks and they always give great customer service. Love that they have sports on there flat screen TVs. It’s a definite must try place.

Even though the two tables next to us were incredibly over-​served, it was definitely better than the last time…
I received a gift card to come back and try a different entrée from last time, and let me say — it was definitely worth it. That Thirsty Turkey Sandwich was just as delicious as I’ve been told. The sauce is so amazing and tangy, you have to keep eating it so it doesn’t become overpowering! Definitely a great sandwich, and wish I would have tried it first.
The wings will always be my first love tho.

We were in town and needed a place to catch the football game. This is place is quite the scene. But staff was super friendly and helpful. We walked in to a busy bar and they walked around trying to help us find tables and move people around. The food was really tasty and came out fast for football sunday. Lots of tvs to watch from, no shortage of vantage points.

Came here a few days back and actually had really good service. I had been here about 8 times before and always had awful service, regardless of the amount of guests. Was really surprised by how friendly and attentive the servers were this time.
The food isn’t amazing but it’s just bar food. Good to snack on while watching games and in between beers. Good beer selection now that they have 805.
I do wish the restrooms were cleaner. Every time I’ve been here the women’s restroom has toilet paper on the floor and the sink looks like its hardly ever cleaned.

First time I checked out Cronies for my birthday last night and I was a little hesitant because it’s a little drive on the freeway to Ventura but it was completely worth it!
It’s a casual environment where people come here with friends, families and even bring their kids lol Lots of tables and chairs are available set up communal seating style but their tables and chairs can be rearranged if you don’t wanna sit next to random people.
I ordered a Blue Moon in a holy looking goblet for ~$ 6 and it was refreshing. After I had finished that one casually, I was brought another cold goblet of Blue Moon but since it was my birthday, I had to chug it all faster than everyone singing happy birthday to me LOL I was only able to drink half of it but they still hooked it up regardless :)
The servers were also helpful to cut the birthday cake my friend gave me and provided plates, forks and napkins. A big thanks to those ladies at Cronies for singing happy birthday on my birthday (even though they pronounced my name wrong lol) and for meeting awesome patrons in the parking lot who gave me a free bottled Coors Light: D
