This place deserves a lot more credit than the reviews on here. I’m no critic, but when you’re craving ice cream on a cold day, you can’t go wrong with a company that has been out for years with a variety of flavors! Since the past couple of years, this place cleaned up A LOT! Sure, the area where it’s located can get ghetto across from here is the Chinaland restaurant that holds random clubs & parties, then SOMETIMES there are bums hanging outside of CVS asking for $$. They changed the look indoor & the logo outdoor. The service varies from a few workers to 1, but they’ve all been super sweet. When it comes to asking for samples, they don’t just give the size of the mini spoon, they actually give you a scoop as big as 2 bites out of a bucket. Let’s just say a very generous scoop. If I asked to sample all the flavors I’d probably be filled with a size large cup in my stomach. Their set up of the cakes & pints of ice cream are stored neatly & different. The vibe inside is welcoming & friendly as in cheery music in the background. They still always have a seasonal flavor for you to try! I’ve gotten their cakes, scoops, & milkshakes. Price has increased within the past years, but let’s face the fact that this isn’t the only store that has! Decent price for ice cream nowadays. When you pay, don’t throw away the receipt! You may get a coupon on there. I just got a $ 3 off an ice cream cake so the coupons vary.

Love BR. Been coming here since the early 80’s– right after school! One can never go wrong with a scoop of Jamoca Almond Fudge!

I Love the ice cream here. UNFORTUNATELY this store is filthy. Every time there has been a long line out the door causing long waits with children running all around bumping into you. Unless you are coming strictly for a quart of ice cream or ice cream cake, you are looking at a 20 minute wait only to find not all flavors are available.

I stopped in at this Baskin Robbins hoping they had some tasty clown cones. I was greeted right away by a chipper employee who asked if she could help me. I commented that I had been hoping to get a clown cone and she let me know that they were only available by special order and required 24 hours advance notice. This made me immediately sad, as I had wanted to eat one right then. But, I guess if you have to special order them it takes away from the problem I sometimes have at other locations of getting stale, soft-coned clown cones. Instead I got a single scoop of ice cream in a chocolate dipped waffle cone. The waffle cone was delicious and crunchy. The ice cream was smooth and boldly flavored. The young lady that helped me was very friendly and enthusiastic. Overall I had an enjoyable visit.

Horrible customer service, dirty store, even the manager had a bad attitude. My husband and I came here two nights ago. Apparently the staff(three girls) wanted to close early. As we approached the door one of the girls who was wiping the windows held the door preventing us from opening it and loudly said to the two other girls working(a manager and a cashier) «are we closed?» the manager said no because it was still operating hours but was clearly annoyed and have us a dirty look. The girl at the door looked at us, rolled her eyes and let go of the door so we could finally walk in. The a manager and the cashier were directly in front of us by the ice cream and refused to greet us or help us. Apparently being a paying customer(you know, customers who make sure the employees still have a job) was a bad thing. The girl that was wiping the widows eventually came over to assist us as the cashier said that they would not be helping us. Her hands were dirty when she started to scoop the ice cream. My husband politely said«I’m sorry if I sound rude but could you please wash your hands? You were cleaning the windows and I can see your hands are dirty». The girl scoffed and walked away. She did wash her hands but was talking smack loudly to the manager and other girl working. They made it clear to us that they wanted us to hear what they thought of us and my husband asking her to utilize proper food service prep. Window washer girl finished getting our ice cream and we paid. As soon as my husband put his wallet away they girls all made comments that we were rude for not tipping them. Why would we tip for bad service? The manager said we should smile more and not come back. WOW. All because we wanted to support to their business but they wanted to make their own operating hours that evening. Won’t be coming back here again. So sad these girls hate their jobs and make the customers suffer.

Great staff. I’ve always had the best interaction with everyone whenever I come for a visit. Only giving 4 out of 5 stars because the cotton candy flavor isn’t available year round. Fix that situation

Didn’t have the full 31 flavors available. I wanted strawberry cheesecake ice cream and settled for pineapple coconut instead.

Baskin-Robbins has been around for YEARS in Oxnard! This is 1 of 2 locations in our town. The other joint is in south Oxnard, off Saviers Rd. Why has it lasted so long? Dependable great tasting ice cream for one thing with 31 flavors to choose from. Never once has there been a compromise in taste with any of my favorite flavors. And that’s been a LONG time! Anytime we’ve ordered cakes from here, they’ve always prepared it the way we requested it and its always been on time. How do they compare to others in our area? Cost per scoop is $ 2.69, more than Rite Aid($ 1.79), cheaper than Cold Stone(($ 3.29, without add-ons) and The Coastal Cone Company($ 2.95, and they serve Rite Aid ice cream). Now mind you, there isn’t grizzled ice cream scooping vets in here that are completely in tune with the customers. Usually, customer service consists of young whipper snappers trying to learn the ropes of the food industry while dealing with all the emotional turmoil that surrounds their complicated lives! Hah! Tough stuff, yet they seemed to have done an adequate job so far, as I can’t remember a bad experience that stands out in all my years of frequenting this place. What sticks in my mind… YUMMY ice cream, so, YEAH! I’m a fan!

I love Baskin Robbins. I just can’t stand how dirty this one always is. Clean your floor.
