The Greene Turtle

Food was overly processed and the service is mediocre. Only came in because we had a 10 free coupon and honestly wasn’t worth it at all we will be throwing the other one away and not using the come back later.

The food here is average at best the service is slow and especially if you sit on the patio. The staff are friendly though so it helps and the waitress kamal (sp) is really nice and helpful. The menu needs to be redone imo like who orders a meatball flatbread pizza?

Food is okay and servers were nice. The reason I’m leaving a 1 star review is because my girlfriend accidentally left her wallet on our table. We came back the next morning and they had her wallet, but $ 250 in cash was missing from the wallet. I doubt that the busboy missed the wallet while cleaning the table so it stands to reason that someone on the staff took the money. If the wallet was indeed found by staff it should have been taken to a manager immediately and stored somewhere safe. Not rifled through and looted so someone could take home a bonus that night.
We used to like going here and I routinely said how much better than other Greene Turtles this location was. Now we will never be visiting this location again as apparently some of the staff are not honest people. We were not rude to our hostess or waitress and tipped the waitress well. I don’t think we deserved to be taken advantage of. It just shows you the character of the people they hire and for that reason I can’t recommend going here.

Came here for football sunday. Bar was not busy so it was nice to be able to get a table without hassle in the bar area.
Good drink specials $ 3 miller lite cans and great chicken wings. Ordered extra crispy with little sauce and that is how they came. Sever was attentive and got the order correct. Will come back again.

So, the kids wanted to get wings so they asked to go to the turtle. I ordered a Budweiser Tall and it was sour– omg like could kill you tasting. Kids got wings. Do they even fry them here? Suckers were limp and rubbery. The buffalo chicken sandwich was not bad. There are really no vegetarians options as well. My wife was like «nothing without meat besides and appetizer»? I think I have not been to one since my uninspired review of the Columbia one.

It’s walking distance from my hotel, so I tried it out. Food was average at best, but edible if you don’t feel like getting in the car again.
The service was slow… hence the name. I used to be a bartender, so I’m never too critical, but I couldn’t be quiet tonight.
I sat at a table by the bar and the cocktail waitress spent most of her time talking at the bar wait station. The bartender wouldn’t look at me because she knew I had been waiting at the table, and if she served me, it’d only be helping out the cocktail waitress, not her tip jar. I had to tell the hostess to send over a waitress.
The cocktail waitress cleaned my section and table while I ate. She was ready to go home I guess.
I’d eat here again to watch a football game while having dinner. That’s it.

The selling point for us is the outside seating so we can smoke. Other than that, it’s just a bar/​pick-​up joint.

We live close to this Green Turtle location so started coming here when we moved to the area in December 2014. At the time, we said that it was fine, normal just good food, but not fantastic service. They have all the games and we like that the booths have their own TVs and you can watch whatever you want. However, in the last few months the service here has really improved. The food is just as good as always, but it’s nice that now it goes with good customer service.

Nothing else to say about this place other than this location in Owings Mills wasn’t the best as far as our particular server.
All of the other Greene Turtles I’ve been to have been great with a solid atmosphere.
Watching games is always great here as well!

I really like that this location has plenty of covered outdoor seating. I feel like they have recently stepped up their menu and it’s not typical bar food anymore. They have great happy hour deals. I tried the loaded tots which is not your typical tot. It was fried balls of potatoes with cheese, chives and bacon on the inside. Sooo good! We also tried the crab dip with pretzels which was pretty tasty too. They have these drinks that are served in a huge turtle shell and meant for multiple people to share (or just one person, because anything can be a single serving if you believe in yourself) which looked pretty cool and I would totally like to try out next time I go. The service was pretty good too, especially since we were outside, and I feel like when you sit outside your server usually forgets about you.

Pretty extensive drink menu, takes some time to make a decision! I like the outdoor seating, which can be hard to find in this area. Pretty decent service, not super crowded, and ample parking. Fun spot!

Just average. I called in for a carryout order and the person who answered didn’t know how to take a carryout order, so she had to get her manager before my order could be processed. This wasn’t a huge deal for me in terms of the wait, but it just doesn’t make sense management-​wise to have someone answer the phone who doesn’t know how to process carryout orders.
I ordered a chicken caesar salad wrap with sweet potato fries. It’s one of the lower cal items on the menu, but it still comes in at 600+. (This place does not offer much in way of low-​cal healthy fare.) The wrap normally comes with kettle chips, but I opted for the sweet potato fries, which I believe were a dollar or two extra. This brought my lunch to about $ 13.00, which is kind of high, considering I can get a wrap full of organic, fresh ingredients at another café in the area for around $ 10.00, so my order with Greene Turtle ranked pretty low on the value scale.
The wrap I received from Greene Turtle was, unfortunately, really heavy on the dressing, light on the lettuce, and full of very oily chicken. I ate half of the wrap and the sweet potato fries (which were a little bland) before tossing the other half of the wrap out.
As for the positives, the staff was very friendly when I walked in. The hostesses greeted me immediately, and actually seemed happy, which was nice. :) Also the takeout order was very carefully packaged, and they provided lots of the necessary extras that sometimes other places forget to include, which was also great (fork, knife, napkins, condiments, etc.).
Overall, though, not my top pick for lunch in the Owings Mills region by a long shot.

This review isn’t based on the restaurant in its entirety, but rather on the little side room that can be used for parties. I attended a bridal shower here on Sunday afternoon and was really apprehensive — chain restaurant sports bars aren’t usually the location of choice for bridal showers. It was actually a surprisingly good experience!
There were about 40 people in attendance and the space was a little bit cramped. I probably wouldn’t recommend the room for more than maybe 30 people to be seated comfortably. It wasn’t really conducive to the bride-​to-​be sitting in the front of the room opening gifts because the gift table alone took up a good chunk of space. There was a big screen in the front of the room (where I think they ordinarily play the TV) but the hostesses were able to use it for a photo slideshow, which is a big plus. We had lovely waiters who were completely devoted to us, which was nice (though is it weird that they were teenagers serving us alcohol?) And the food was, from the little that I tried, pretty good. I tried a chicken tender, which was great, and I heard that the BBQ ribs were awesome. I tried some of the crab dip and it was fine, but not at the level of what I would expect from Maryland. It was very cheesy (both cream cheese in the mixture and topped with lots of melted cheddar cheese) but there was actually no discernable crab or Old Bay flavor. There was some type of hint of crab flavor, but other than that it was like more of a warm cream cheese dip.
Generally speaking, this could be a really good spot for a 25 – 30 person event like a birthday party or corporate event. Much bigger and you may be feeling a little bit like sardines. Also think twice before ordering the crab dip in your buffet if you’re looking for an authentic Maryland experience.

We had my 30^th surprise party here and I was very happy with how attentive the staff was to our party of about 25 people. We had open bar for everyone and the waitress made sure everyone always had a drink as needed. We’ve also eaten dinner here recently and the food was really good and the server stayed on top of whatever we needed.

Great for a game day. Kind of ok for a date night. Always good for a big meaty medium well mushroom swiss burger and the chicken parm was pretty good too. The wine selection is limited, but again… this is a sports bar. I’ll go to watch March Madness hoops.

This place is named well! Slow plodding apathetic management team. Still waiting on my 630 reservation as of 715 pm. What a bunch of jack ass customer service. It’s basically a TV bar for drinking and waiting for something good to happen.
I will never come here again.

Great place for a quick drink and bite to eat after a long day at work. I am only rating the bar area since it is where I always seem to go. Met a friend there recently for happy hour. They have a pretty good selection of beer on tap and I love the new pub fries that they have added to the menu, they had a decent amount of bacon on them. I sat at the bar which had plenty of seating available and the service was very good. The bar tender checked on me frequently made sure I was well taken care of. I come to this location frequently during the week because it’s convenient to home and I always have a good experience.
I recommend it as a place to meet friends since happy hour the specials are competitively priced. If you are a fan of burgers and pub fare you will enjoy it.

THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL and my RAVENS are playing the Steelers. Decided to meet some friends to watch some of the game for the night. This location is across the street from Owings Mills Mall in the restaurant park area. There is plenty of parking since there are about 3 or 4 restaurants in that area. Of course the place is packed because they have the best screens to watch the games throughout the place. My friends already had seats so I didn’t have to wait or try to find a spot in the already packed place.
It was a great atmosphere for the great football rivalry game. There were mostly Ravens fan there but a few Steelers fan but it was all good fun. As we watched the game I got the QB punch and the pub fries. The fries were delicious. Great football food. It is over a pound of French fries cooked to a golden brown, piled high and smothered in warm queso sauce, chopped bacon and fresh scallions. Served with our Cajun Ranch sauce on the side. The QB punch was quite tasty.
Being that it was pretty busy the waitress took a while to get to us and get our orders us throughout the evening, but she was really friendly and helpful when it came to asking her opinion about items on the menu. She was very knowledgeably.
Had a great time before leaving at half time to watch the rest of the game home. Always fun to watch the game with other fans if you can’t be at the game live.
