I went to the Westminster store a day later and had missed the sale. Also, my coupons were only good for the day before, or several days later, so I ended up paying double what I would have, had I been able to get service on Columbus Day. I mentioned all that had happened to the person who was ringing up my sale and her response was«huh, that’s too bad». No apology or offer of help. I had to get fabric for the job I had due, and checked my JoAnne’s app and a «20% off your total purchase today only» offer popped up, so I went to the Westminster, MD store and had roughly $ 200 worth of fabric cut, again after about 35 minutes wait, with stations there, but too cluttered to use, and employees that could have been assisting customers. As the line grew, the second person looked at her watch and said«well, I gotta go to break» and walked away, with no replacement person coming to step in. When I finally got to the register, the coupon had disappeared. I said that to the lady, after a frantic search through the app, and she said«oh yeah, that happens all the time» no other coupons were good, again! Again no help from employee, and to top it ALL off, she said«I’m sorry, but we are out of big bags, so I have nothing to put your fabric in» I was floored. I have delicate, higher priced fabrics with no protection against soiling, to juggle to the car. There is a dollar store NEXTSTORE to them! Someone couldn’t take $ 5 and buy a few boxes of white kitchen bags to help the customers? BJs is 5 miles away too! Go get some bags! This was right before a Halloween, and the kickoff to Holiday crafting had begun, and there’s no big bags? No employee help? I can’t describe how disappointed I am in them as a chain. I guess because they’re the only game in town for fabrics now, they feel they don’t have to worry about the customer.

I came in with my reset and wanted to refund something. Before I asked about there refund policy and they said just to brig you’re reset so I did. I was Denide a refund and was rudely asked to stop arguing with them.

I came back a second time and the yarn selection was much more plentiful, so I’m adding a star.

There aren’t too many arts and crafts stores in the area let alone the state, so, Jo-Ann’s Fabrics & Crafts is the first spot on the list. The historic fabric section is still available for the very creative, hands on crowd with fabrics, needles, sewing machines, sewing workshops, discounts, deals, etc. There are baking items like cupcake wrappers, table decorations, wind chimes things for occurring holidays like Christmas, Easter, Halloween. Many items exist for your creativity pleasures like beads, construction paper, plain shirts to jazz up to your liking, buttons, yarn, ribbons, kids art activity sets, paint, glue, duh, duh and of course any other arts and crafts cottonballs you can think of. Children enjoy Jo Ann’s because everything looks so fun and exciting. They could be right since the parents always drag kids along to be artsy and crafty. Jo’s has a nice selection of bracelets for the women. They are eccentric, weird, cute bracelets you may not see in many stores. They start at about $ 2.99, people always ask me where I get mine from, but I keep it a secret! You can even buy your own materials and make your own piece of art instead of buying someone else’s in a store for $ 10 plus. Have fun!
