The food was alright, but the customer service needs some work. They’re not very friendly, but we’re able to make it a little better by handling the requests faster. Need some training on customer service and making the experience better.

This was my first time there, the burger was nice however the staff was rude. When the staff is rude it makes the experience horrible. So this is not a place I’m ready to go back to ASAP.

Way too much salt. Inventive menu, but this place is nothing to juxtapose with actual burger places that make delicious American fare. Would not go out of my way to eat here, where two burgers will run you 13 bucks. Way too much for what they’re selling.

I’d never had Smashburger before but this was a very positive first experience. I liked the smash fried for the most part but kind of got tired of the truffle taste towards the end.

Faster than 5 Guys, decent food, friendly service, fantastic build-your-own menu. I stopped by here before going to a movie at Studio 28 theatre. It was empty when we arrived(around 5:45) but there were a few other couples there by the time we left. Ordering was easy and their menu is nice and versatile. I did the build your own burger with a regular patty, egg bun, cheddar, tomato, lettuce, avocado and smash sauce on the side. I also split an order of fries and had a peanut butter milkshake. It didn’t take long at all to get the food and the shakes(maybe 3 minutes) and a guy brought them to us. The shakes even came with the tin that had the extra ice cream in it. The burger was good(patty was a bit thin and the avocado was a bit small), but honestly it tasted pretty good. The lettuce and tomato tasted fresh and ripe and the sauce was nice. The fries were thin cut and weren’t really seasoned(a big plus for me since I’m not into overly seasoned fries). I would definitely come back to this place. Another big plus is that they have a black bean patty option on the menu. This is great for vegetarians. They had a few boulevard beers here as well(I notced Zon and wheat).

Not a good experience. There was horrible customer service and the food was messed up numerous times. We will not be going back.

Shoestring fries are outstanding. Top notch! Burgers are very good, but a bit on the small side. Being from Texas I view this place as a bit pricey, but it seems fairly priced compared to the current next door options. Be ready for a bit of a wait as everything is made fresh. Location is excellent here. Next to some shopping options, an outstanding movie theatre, and some good bars.

I was craving a burger but didn’t want to splurge. Needless to say, I left very satisfied. It’s like in between the quality and price of Shake Shack and InNOut. Excellent oreo milkshake. I appreciated the rosemary seasoning to the string fries. I got the burger with avocado and bacon :) So many fun options and a nice diner sit down feel if you choose to stay.

This is one of my favorite lunch stops. The food is delicious, the service is friendly and quick, and the eclub /customer survey discounts are nice.

This place is awesome! They do cook with real butter, so I feel that’s the reason for some of the«drippy» complaints. Highly recommend Grilled Spinach and Goat cheese sandwich and the Veggie Frites :)

First time here. Menu boards weren’t working but the have hand held menus at the register. The cashier answered all my questions pleasantly enough. We ordered the big mushroom burger, the avocado black bean veggie burger and some smashfries. They bring the food to you. They put all the fries in my wife’s plate. They were cold as well. The beef burger was ok, a little salty. The veggie burger is very good. I’ll give them another try one day. One star lost for the cold fries, but they did bring us more. One star lost on general apathy. The get bonus points for being fast food with a good veggie burger.

This location is fantastic! The staff is always friendly, the place is always clean and the food is prepped fresh and fast. Zero complaints! The manager, Leslie, is always friendly and enthusiastic about the products and makes my regular visits even better!

My fiancé and I decided to stop in today and were pleasantly surprised. I got the Kansas City and it was great! Saw lots of complaints on the sweet potato and smash fries… None here though. Staff was friendly as well. Looking forward to next visit.

The clerk in this Burger Store was mopping the floor when I was here the last time and used the same hands(without washing his hands or using another pair of gloves) packed my takeout order. I didn’t want to argue, I paid for my food and it straight away went into trash after I got home

In the burger wars, Smashburger really misses the mark. This was our first visit to Smashburger and probably our last. The burgers really are smashed. Flat, rubbery and overcooked. There is no option to choose how you want your burger cooked. My hubby ordered an avocado club burger and Smashfries for lunch and I had a taste of his burger and a few of his fries. The avocado club burger came with two small slices of avocado and two tiny slices of mealy tomato and lettuce. It was supposed to have applewood smoked bacon as well, but there wasn’t any on his burger. My hubby thinks it’s barely a half step above McDonald’s in terms of quality and I’m inclined to agree. The Smashfries are regular french fries tossed with a bit of rosemary and really aren’t anything special. The ordering is fast and friendly. You order and pay at the counter and then they bring you your meal. It was clear that the food is not made-to-order as we had barely had a chance to sit down when the food arrived. The front of the restaurant was freezing cold as there is nothing to block the wind/cold when the door was opened.

I met up with a friend here for lunch. First off, random comment not about the food, this place was terribly cold. I was freezing the whole time! Meant the food cooled off real quick too. For the food: I got the truffle mushroom and swiss burger. Modifications included: minus cheese, add grilled onions/tomatoes/pickles, minus the bun(served on lettuce), truffle mayo on the side. They accommodated the gluten and dairy free-ness really well. And the whole thing was really yummy. Additionaly, I got a side salad because the fryers are communal so there is gluten contamination potential. Only complaint there: they forgot the dairy-free bit and put cheese on the salad. I just picked it off because I didn’t want to send the whole thing back. As for dressing, there really wasn’t a good option and when I asked for olive oil they kindly made me a small cup of ‘smash oil’ which is their olive oil, rosemary, and garlic blend. It was delicious.

Pricey, but pretty good. Unique burgers. Fries were cold and they were very apologetic and made us fresh, hot, rosemary fries right away. They had a good flavor. Fun for a change.

Confession: I lean vegetarian but I am not one, and I eat at chains. I don’t love cheeseburgers, but sometimes I want one. When I eat one, it better be great. And, it really helps if it’s less than 10 miles away, which is never the case. This is about 19 miles from my house. I have to be in the area to eat here. Smashburger sits across 119th street, from the Sprint Complex. I bet this location is hella crowded at noon. It was my first time eating here. I loved it. I spent many minutes trying to find out on the menu which is on the wall, trying to find a veggie burger. I had an odd craving for one. I noticed on the menu there wasn’t one, but who cares? After biting into the cheeseburger, I had forgotten the exclusion of veggie burger. If you are a vegetarian, don’t eat here. As for the service, it was top notch. Great perky staff, food is inexpensive and delicious. Delicious, delicious, delicious. I ordered a ¼ pound cheese burger and fries, and iced tea. It wasn’t even 10 dollars, which pleased me. For a chain, this place is cool. I did notice it’s bright red and white décor… and know they are probably in direct competition with 5 Guys. I received my order within minutes: cheeseburger plain(I don’t like that other stuff on it). It is by far, one of the best cheeseburgers I’ve eaten. As good as 5 Guys. It had flavorful seasoned salt creating a yummy taste I’ve not had in a long time. It was juicy, tender, and didn’t seem like a ¼ pound, seemed like more. The bun was an egg roll bun, oh my goodness… the sweet taste of the bun and the juicy burger. The fries, thin, and crispy. There were alot of them. Not to salty, and no dud fries or over browned. The tea, fresh. This is going to be a regular stop when I’m in the area… either that, or they can build one somewhere on Noland Road in Independence. They really could. .I mean, it’s a thought, right?
