Smoked Creations BBQ

We discovered Smoke Creations years ago when visiting family. He was selling BBQ Burritos off his smoker in the parking lot of the local grocery store. Great sauces as well. Pulled pork rice corn beans wrapped in a flour tortilla.
Each time we have gone back to visit family He has moved up and expanded in to a building in town. And each time the quality of the food has been outstanding.
But this time he expanded into a much bigger place and the food seemed off. No smoke flavor and the beer was warm. I will try them again next time we are in town. I’m just hoping he has not sacrificed quality for quantity because he is so busy now.
And I under everyone has a bad day.
Keep smoking that pork and chill the brew more.
I did notice the commercial smoker out back running and his original barrel smoker just sitting off to the side. That could be the reason for the lack of smoke flavor in the meat this time.

Tried this with a friend tonight. Was very very good!
It amused me to hear customers grumbling about them running out of bud light at 7:15 on a Saturday night. The owner sent someone to the liquor store to remedy the problem. Now THAT is service. :)
Appetizer — fried cauliflower!!! Delish! Fantastic flavor.
Dinner — attack dog. Ventured way out of my comfort zone on that one but I was intrigued. Beef hotdog wrapped in brisket, jalapeños, BBQ sauce, cheese, then in a tortilla, deep fried chimichanga style. Topped with BBQ beans and cheese. This did not disappoint. Shared an order of fries with a friend and didn’t leave overly stuffed.

Excellent BBQ that is priced below what they could/​should be charging. I will be back for more brisket.

GREAT FOOD! It was about time that Ottawa got a good BBQ joint. I love the lunch special they do during the week. You get so much food for the price you pay. I strongly recommend if you are looking for some good BBQ.

This is some really good BBQ, If you live in Ottawa, you are fortunate to have a place like this to eat. I had the Cuban with Cajun fries and a KC Bier Dunkel draft. Ok I had 2 beers. The Dunkel was really good, recommended by a co-​worker to try the beer. I have been wanting to stop by this place for some time and I took this opportunity today to do so. Real good flavors, large menu selections to keep you coming back and a Carolina Mustard sauce that is out of this world. I will pass on the cajun fries next time and try something better. Worth the hour drive from anywhere in Kansas.

When my wife and I had a lunch break from what we were doing at NCCC, which is just a little way up the street from this place, we tried it on the recomendation of someone working there at NCCC. This was a fantastic choice. The hostess was very competent, and even shuffled off to get our drinks just after we were seated. The food was very well done and our waitress was very on the ball. My wife had a loaded baked potato and nearly couldn’t finish it. I had the Wise guy with sweet potato tots. All of the food was really good.
We will definatly return here when we are in Ottawa again.

–Various seating options (outside, table, booth, high table/​stool).
–Simple sauce choices. I was offered ability to try hot BBQ which I declined. The two sauces on the table were hard enough to choose from.
–Waitress polite and not annoyingly chipper or rude. She was just right.
–Possibly the best pulled pork I ever tasted. Hard for me to come to grips with this and say it because I’m from… I’m from TX (*removes cowgirl hat, places on heart, and looks down, sadly kicks a stone *). I almost cried it was so good. I asked myself if I had ever really done anything to deserve such good BBQ.
–Menu was easy to read with great options.
The average sized baked potato was cooked to perfection and the corn on the cob, not as sweet as I wished but still good and lightly toasted. I was given ENOUGH butter for my potato and even parmesan for my corn… without me even asking! Both sauces on the table were so delectable I couldn’t choose, I had to alternate in both throughout my meal. Sandwich bun was soft. I paid $ 15.60 for my food and soft drink before the tip I left. For what I ordered, that was a very fair price. I loved the food. ENJOY!

My family and I come here often! I love the mac and cheese bites and loaded baked potato with brisket! My aubt and uncle that live near Clinton Missouri always wants to eat here when they’re here!

Sooo good! Have the ribs, they are amazing, and I’m not usually even a big fan of ribs. Also the macaroni and cheese bites and addicting.

Pulled pork tacos with slaw and cilantro! Brisket sandwiches, beans, potato salad! Lunch was TASTY, fast and served with a smile. We really enjoyed this BBQ joint and the other customers who assured us it was THE BEST!

Had this BBQ for the first time while I was on leave from Schofield Barracks. I went back three more times within two weeks. Now I’m on PCS leave and I’ve chowed down here twice more. The BBQ burrito sounded dangerous, especially deep-​fried, but you have to do it at least once. It’s well worth it. For a lighter meal or for lunch, try the loaded BBQ sweet potato with shredded pork. Oh yeah. Kudos to Jeremy and his family for this awesome joint. Rock on, Clev!

The o-​town burger is heaven… the food has only improved since they opened… the ribs are awsome… and waitresses are cute

LOVE LOVE LOVE This place! They have the best ribs. They are tender and flavorful and fall off the bone cooked just right. Fries are served with enough to share. Why the 3 star rating if the food is fab? The downside, be prepared to have mediocre to very poor service from the waitstaff. Waitstaff is consistently slow and does not pay attention (Except PAM! Ask for Pam. She recently started and is fabulous). Drink refills are slow to come as well as getting the check paid. It’s sad really. If not for the poor waitstaff, we would eat here more than we currently do.

My daughter and I ate here while touring the local university. I was hoping they’d be open on a Sunday and they were. The atmosphere is great, it looks like a BBQ joint should. Plenty of tvs with playoff football, but not so loud that you can’t hear the person across the table.
I ordered «the pig out» based on a previous posters review and it might have been the best pulled pork I have ever eaten. It was absolutely delicious! Cheese, bacon, BBQ and pork, what more do you need. The portion size was huge and I wasn’t man enough to finish, had to take a to go box. Wife ate the other half the next morning and said it was delicious cold too!
My daughter ordered the wings and said they were very good too.
This will definitely be a regular stop whenever we are in the area. Do yourself a favor and try it.

While most travelers probably look for something close to the highway, this place is well worth the 3 mile drive north from I35. We got several menu items (Pulled Pork Street Tacos, slab of St Louis ribs, Cyclone, Fried Pepper Jack Cheese) to share and sample and were very satisfied with each thing. Delish!

Stopped here on my way back to KC and I was pleasantly surprised. Honestly some of the best BBQ I’ve had since moving to the Midwest. I had «the pig out», which is about a half pound of pulled pork and smoked bacon topped with cheddar cheese and pickles on a toasted ciabatta bun. I also had a side of their sweet potato tots and a blue moon. Everything was absolutely amazing and my bill was something like 12 dollars. Good luck finding a deal like that anywhere else.

I’m a local in Ottawa and I’m a regular here. This is by far my favorite place in town. Friendly, fun staff. I’ve had nearly everything on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. My favorite is their «Cyclone» creation. Lots of original menu items and all the great classic barbecue meats you’d expect. If you are around for lunch or dinner you need to try this place!

Great local BBQ spot. It was nice to sit outside and enjoy. The waiter was a friendly guy who was attentive. The pulled pork sandwich was tasty with the BBQ sauce on the side. The fried pickles were delicious.

Great bbq in Ottawa. Fun, relaxed atmosphere. The menu has a lot of inventive offerings. The Cuban sandwich, yes bbq Cuban, is awesome
