I went here the other day because it was on my bookmark list. I have a pretty severe obsession with England so I thought this place would be perfect for me! I did not encounter the grumpy man that everyone has mentioned. It was a young lady and she was pleasant and very interested in meeting my service dog. I really enjoy their selection of teas… In fact I found a tea I have been looking for quite awhile now. Lancanshire tea. JK Rowling’s favorite! I do feel the candies are overpriced. I can’t believe I missed out on the clotted cream. Now I need to go back and try to find it! Also, I love all the tea pots and cozies they sell :) so cute! Brings me back to London…

Well, my hopes of running into Alan Rickman browsing the loose leaf tea section didn’t happen, but they do carry a lot of interesting items here. This wasn’t my first visit to this shop mind you, before my Unilocaling days I’d stop by every now and again and I have tried some of their products. Their meat pies were ok, their sausages were alright, but I think what stood out to me most was their clotted cream that came in a jar and was the richest, creamiest and delicious thing ever. However, I did not see it on this visit. Back when I use to shop here, there was a very nice elderly woman minding the store, but just as another Unilocaler already pointed out, the one that was there was a short, angry looking man. When I walked in, he didn’t greet me, but walked past me and closed the door and then huffed angrily before walking past me again and heading straight into his back office… Well… Good afternoon to you too! I was going to turn and walk back out but the fancy looking candies were to irresistible to not look at… and, yeah they were incredibly overpriced. You can go to Publix and find a good selection of products from the UK at reasonable prices, granted they do have stuff here you don’t easily find elsewhere like kippers with butter etc, I guess it all depends on what you want.

I had high hopes when I walked by this shop on my way to get boba. We stopped in to take a peek because I saw cute tea kettles in the window and remembered my granny had been wanting one. I headed straight for them and decided not when I saw the price tag. Yikes! We browsed the rest of the store, saw some overpriced cadburry($ 6.75 for a bar of chocolate? I can get this at Walmart.) Saw some Christmas and Easter candies, which were kind of off putting considering it’s June. Decided on a Bottle of Butterscotch Soda because we thought it would taste like Butter Beer! It certainly was the same price as butter beer! $ 3.25?!? Give me a break. None of this is bad in comparison to the attitude of the guy working. We had to call him from the back, as he was in there the entire time we were browsing the store. He was very short with us and rude. I understand if you might be having a bad day, and I don’t expect you to kiss my feet or anything, but a nice«You’re welcome» when I say thank you or an acknowledgement of Anything I said would have been nice. All I was greeted with were grunts. No wonder the place was empty. Unimpressed.

This place is cute. You can get all sorts of things, loose leaf tea, cookies, scones, refrigerated foods you may miss from England, and even souvenirs from there. It’s like you don’t have to go over seas at all. But honestly if you are from England, this will be a great reminder of home. It’s very small, the lady working was not in the front when we walked in, she peaked her head of for a brief moment and then returned to the back, leaving us alone to roam the store. We walked in while we were waiting for boba tea from next door. It’s cute. I just can’t think of many times I’ll need to go to a place like this.
