2 Stars only for cleanliness, otherwise save your money and go right down the street to any of the other Asian Markets. This place is over-priced and some of the staff are rude. As for their Banh Mi, go to Nha Trang — more variety and they actually use French bread rather than store brought buns(Speaking as a Vietnamese).

Great selection in Oriental products. I love coming here for their snack a mind other things. They have prepared food that looks very delicious; I need to try it. They have a large selection of meat and seafood and the freezer area is very extensive. The staff is very nice. They also have chopsticks, things to make sushi, bowls and much more. I buy my sushi ingredients here and they always have more than one option. They’re snack and candy sections are full of a lot of variety. I like trying new things and this place always has something new. They also have a large selection of alcoholic drinks such as sake. Great place in that colonial area which is full of Asian stores and restaurants.

My favorite oriental market! It’s huge, so it can get overwhelming when you’re looking for specifics. But they have everything I need!

This is the largest oriental supermarket that I’ve found in the area. And they carry more than just regular supermarket items. You can pick up glassware and dishes as well. Need Sake, they have that as well. Chopsticks? Of course. How about some dried squid or pork? Yep, this is what my husband buys every single time we visit. Seaweed is my choice of snack to pick up. The prices are clearly marked on each item, but you can still spend over an hour in the store looking at the various items and trying to figure out what some of them are.

I would give this market a 4 star if the owner would treat the custumer nicely. The employees are very nice, the place is clean and organized. They have banh mi and bakery in the morning which is great. They have sale sometimes for various items like buy 4 get 1 free. 1 bag of rice for $ 23. Overall it is a great place to shop. They dont have fresh seasonal fruits but they do have fresh fish. The only thing is the owner there she is not professional and treat customer with bad attitude. I always shopped here til a few times when i met the owner and her attitude made me stopped shopping here. Which is too bad because i brought a lot of business to this grocery market.

I want a guided tour of Phouc Lac grocery because I don’t know what 90% of the products are. A gent there helped me pick the ‘best ’ ramen and spring rolls(available only on weekends). There’s all kinds of fabulous fresh fish and veg, too. There’s dried fruit, spices and spice combos. I got delicious canned fish called saury with kelp($ 1.50!) It’s fun and full of adventurous product for everyone including unenlightened me. But I’m determined to ask the right questions and discover lots of new to me delicacies. You will love this store and the service is great. Oh, and the banh mi sandwiches are delicious and biggest I’ve ever had. I could go on…

I have been coming to this supermarket for nearly 10 years. When I first came it was purely for the Bahn Mi sandwiches. They were only $ 2 back then and it was a blessing for a poor high-schooler who was in the area getting her Animé fix. I would get a cold drink from the cooler and a package of Asian sweets too, but that was about it. Since then, I have become a much better Asian market shopper.(My trip to Japan and the Phillipenes and the lack of their delicious food thereafter has forced me to make most of my own which requires certain ingredients.) So now I browse every aisle. And the best part about the aisles here is that they make sense. They are categorized very well so it’s much easier to find certain items here than other stores in the area. And unlike the other stores, this store has a wonderful Japanese aisle. I think it has more Japanese brands than any other store in the area does. Blessing! They also have a great many deal of things to buy. Kitchen supplies, bento accessories, cook books, home items, a pharmacy, more frozen items than you can imagine. I think one of my only complaints is that they don’t have a very good selection of fresh foods. They have a few type of fish and shrimp, some veggies. But not a lot of beef, pork, or chicken that isn’t frozen. So this is not the place to go for fresh foods,(at least for me). But it is definitely the place if you need a specific import. I love you, Phuoc Loc Tho. Even if I don’t know how to say your name properly.

Most grocery stores have one aisle for ethnic foods. It is convenient, but limited in the selection available. If I am following a recipe from a cookbook of international cuisine, I am most likely going to a ethnic grocery store that specializes in the ingredients called for to prepare that meal. Such as the case with Super Oriental Market. I can buy soy sauce or sesame oil at any grocery store. But Super Oriental Market? This is the store I buy my sesame oil for stir fry. Super Oriental Market has the biggest selection of sauces, noodles, canned items, teas, as well as produce, seafood, and meats for a variety of Asian cuisine. Have a recipe calling for fish sauce or rice vinegar? Or oil for a stir fry? This market has it. This market has the widest selection of noodles I have ever seen. Egg noodles, rice noodles, ramen noodles, vegetarian noodles… A lot of noodles! If you are looking for frozen spring rolls, or the ingredients to make your own, it is available here. I have some chicken and vegetable spring rolls in the oven as I write this. Candies, pastry treats, and beverages are also available. There is also a deli for submarine sandwiches. But on this visit, I did not inquire about sandwiches or other meals available. I will have to remember this when I am looking for a place to get take out for lunch. When I have visited a few other Asian markets in the Little Saigon area, I have experienced smelling a rather peculiar odor. As well as aisles that are narrow and lighting that is dim. Here at Super Orient Market, I found the store to be very clean, well lit, and wide aisles. Better than some other non-ethnic groceries I have been to in the past. And if you need cookware or dinnerware to cook and serve your meal, Super Orient Market carries that as well. Many of the cookware items are on the top shelves, which the employees will be happy to assist you in getting that stock pot or propane stove down for you. Which reminds me. I need to buy a new wok. I stopped in here for a few items, but I spent several minutes just browsing the aisles looking at all of the products on the shelves. If you shop here, take the time to browse. I think you will find something you may like to try. Like some red bean ice cream. But I will try that after I buy some green tea ice cream on my next visit.

Great big store of Asian goodies! I don’t shop here too often but I am so impressed with the wide selection of items here. Came in looking for some crunchy Thai pea snacks and found them right away. There is a huge selection of snacks, candy, and drinks up front. The back area has lots of common asian grocery items for cooking full meals. Great selection of ramen noodles and lots of exotic meat items you wouldn’t find any where else in Orlando. So many dried teas and bagged coffee to choose from. Lots of canned coffee drinks as well, some hard to find brands outside of Asia. The store doesn’t have a lot staff, but it’s fine. Just ask for what you are looking for up front to the cashiers. Nice grocery with a large selection. Come with some spare time to roam around, I guarantee that you will find more than what you came in to buy.

MAMA pork noodles are always in stock. Nice small sake selection and tons of prepackaged items. It’s fun to peruse through.

Huge Asian food market in Orlando with a wide range of goods from many different Asian ethnicities: Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, Malaysian, Thai, Singaporean the list goes on. They also have a section of speciality vegetarian and vegan meat analogs! Lots of cheap and fresh vegetables. The fruit selection is not that large however compared to some other Asian markets I’ve been to. Lots of sauces, snacks, noodles, frozen goods etc. You will have a good chance of finding what you need here! The store owner was extremely nice and went around asking if people needed help finding anything ! Great service!

This is a super stocked Asian Market with all your oriental shopping needs and then some. Spacious isles, beautifully arranged displays; shelves brimming with sauces, spices, can goods, rice, noodles, rice paper and on and on it goes. Fresh produce, fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, a prepared foods section and on the weekend oriental bbq is available for in house consumption or take-out. I marveled at how neat, clean, well-lit and well stocked this Asian Market was, I have not encountered its equal anywhere in my travels as yet.

Oh man, I love this place!!! I was prancing around the isles like a little kid in a candy store! I must’ve been so caught up in the moment that one of the workers snuck up behind me and asked if I needed help; well yeah I do. oh wait. THAT kind of help… Well… I went ahead and confessed to him that I have a disturbing obsession with Phở but that I didn’t know the first thing about how to cook it at home apart that the broth has to cook for 14 hours, and then his eyes lit up and he says: «14 hours? Who says?» and I blinked and replied: «Isn’t that how they do it in the restaurants?» This was followed by the man erupting in such boisterous laughter that I thought he had seriously hurt himself. It would figure that the ignorant latina would be the cause of death. Death by Phở, I knew it would happen one day! Anyway, it didn’t and he actually gave me an entire tour of the market!!! And explained things to me in the Vietnamese point of view which I was extremely grateful for since I am 99.9% sure that there is some kind of Vietnamese somewhere in my family tree or… I just really like Vietnamese food, anyway. He showed me all the ingredients that the nearby restaurants use including the broth base, showed me the bones and meat, down to the noodles used for phở which actually are frozen, not the dry kind! I never would have guessed it! I got home and out of curiosity I immediately opened the container of seasoning and gave it a little taste and yes indeed; it was a burst of Phở flavors on my tongue! I can’t wait to finally make some decent Phở at home!!! Even if you’re not a Phở junkie like me; If you like to cook, you’ll definitely appreciate the gadgets they have to offer ranging from Super sharp Kiwi brand knives to specialty dumpling rolling pins(only $ 1.99). They have clay pots, woks, regular pans, Asian soaps, perfumes… Let me put it this way, it’s like an Asian wal-mart, and you better believe that I’ll be back!

Revisited this place for some daifuku ingredients. It’s safe to say, 50% of the items I bought were expired. I don’t know how a store would have expired canned anko, but they do. I wanted some silken tofu, but the package said best by: JUN2013. It’s already September! Get your restocking inventory straighten out. Be careful when shopping here, check the expiration date on everything before you buy. They have a big selection of Japanese product so that was a plus in my book. I actually found shiratamafuko(pricey but they had it.) The staff thought I was Korean and started talking about how pale korean girls are and how weird I was for wearing a sweater in Orlando right now. I miss the old guy who worked here three years ago(i assume the owner) he was super friendly compared to his staff= mean lady clerk+ evil viet dude. He needs to tell them to check for expired foods too.

Huge, with big wide aisles. Prices about the same as the other Asian supermarkets in town(feels like they take turns to have the lower prices for the goods. heh). Best selection of Japanese items amongst the various Asian supermarkets here — I managed to find many types of mirin and ponzu sauce. Lots of types of Miso paste too. Some items go for really low prices. Then you realise it’s because they are past their«best before» dates.

This place has everything the asian-inspired foodie could wish for. From sake, to canned gluten(fake chicken flavor. excellent). hot pepper beef jerky. to the more exotic pickled vegetables. and fish. and bowls, dishes(even a good selection of sake jugs). It has rice noodles, filipino items and everything else you could desire. I always buy a bunch of stuff and spices and cook it at home. Homemade pad thai — yum!!! Plus, the parking lot is convenient if you want to buy a LOT, like me.

They’ve got the goodies. Let’s all face the fact that we love to enjoy food. This place has a lot of biscuits, snacks, cookies, and frozen treats. I like the selection of housewares and use a couple of bowls regularly that I bought there. They have a huge selection of ramen and other noodles. They also have loads of sauces, drinks, fish, and fake seafood. That wasn’t disparagement – some people actually want the fake seafood. I think they do pretty well for a converted Rooms-To-Go showroom(where I bought my living room furniture) but the parking is tough and slowing down on Colonial Drive is an accident waiting to happen. Better to turn at a stop light and enter the rear of the parking lot. Geez, I hate Orlando traffic sometimes. How can you smoke, drink, and send text messages while driving? If they weren’t so busy, they should clean better. I don’t have a problem with the food, but with the floors and the cash registers area. The people are quite pleasant but they really need to reach for a higher standard, as do most stores along Colonial Drive. Oh, and if you buy the pirated videos that aren’t natively VietNamese language, get ready for some annoying woman to «act» all of the dialogue. I’ve never tried their banh mi, but they looked good. This is probably the only other place in the Orlando area with mooncakes for Mid-Autumn Festival. They’re not as glorious as those from 1st Oriental Supermarket, but they’re not half the price, either.

I LOVETHEIRROASTEDDUCK, YOUHAVETOTRYTHEIRROASTEDDUCK, it’s better than any other place’s in my opinion, very tasty and crispy, not under/overcooked, it’s just perfect. I think they only sell it on Sunday though, so go there on Sunday and try their bakery stuff + DUCK. Oh also, their BANANACAKEISREALLYGOOD!!! TRYBANANACAKE! They’re all homemade by the owner. And I think you can only get it on Sunday as well. Friendly staff and one of the places I like to shop for Vietnamese/Asian food.
