A nice little bar with a good beer selection and a laid back feel. Free foosball in the back room, plenty of outdoor seating, and a friendly owner. You can’t go wrong with this place. Well, unless you’re looking for loud. Then this isn’t the place for you. :-)

My five stars is based on a sunny sunday afternoon, there ISNOBETTERPLACE! A slice of key west has landed in Orlando. This quaint little beer&wine bar is as laid back as it gets. Sit inside at the bar or couple of tables. Or sit outside on the patio that literally puts you in a feeling of being on duval street. The nice«beachy» lady inside greets you with a smile and offers you a coozie to put your beer in. Her knowledge of beers is impressive, as is her motherly feeling hospitality. If you are hung over from a saturday night on the town this is the perfect place to find your«hair of the dog» on a sunday afternoon.

Such a relaxing spot! Island Time is an idyllic place for Happy Hour, with BOGO wines and beers, and lots of outdoor seating where you can people-watch to your heart’s content. This bar captures the spirit of the islands with its laid-back charm, island décor, rustic signage and Caribbean-influenced snack menu. We had the Jamaican beef patties and the Ciabatta rolls… both delicious. The beverage menu is particularly impressive. While it doesn’t feature liquor, it offers a wide array of options for wine and beer lovers. The micro-brew selections are plentiful. The owner has been here on both times that I visited, and she’s awesome… very warm, attentive and welcoming. She’s created a very special place with Island Time.

Island Time is one of those places that I have just overlooked since it opened about a year ago. It’s a quaint little business amiss thehustle of downtown Orlando. When you step in, you’re ears are filled with steel drum music and your eyes see tropical décor for days. Apparently the island theme was not the original hope for inside fashions, but after opening, the owner said people assumed«Island Time» meant island theme and expected it. I waltzed in with a group of girlfriends in the middle of a lovely SDFD. What drew us in was the blackboard outside promoting their mimosa smoothie, or something along those lines… I’m telling you, that was a SDFD for the books! Anyway —There was a couple at the bar and the outside patio was empty. We brought the party. Not only did Island Time have bubbly specials, but they had KEYLIMEPIE! I took mine to go, and after hours of carrying that sucker around, I devoured it, and it was good. I’d love to go back to Island Time for their $ 2 Tuesday!

After a walk with the family at Lake Eola my wife and I stopped off for something cool to drink after seeing Island Time while walking around Thornton Park earlier in the day. We had actually seen them on Unilocal and apparently trove right by them several times without even realizing it. Well when you are on foot, you see things you miss when driving apparently… lol There is an outside area that has places in the sun and shade depending an what you are looking for. When you walk inside you will find some tables, some really cool art on the wall and a bar. The Reggae music playing was very nice and certainly matched the name. The have a nice beverage list to choose from and I have posted a photo as well. They even offer some food items as well. I was already stuffed silly from brunch but the man at the end of the bar ordered a Pressed Cuban that smelled incredible and he let me know how much he enjoyed it. You can stop by and let me know if it is good or wait for my next trip to hear what I think about their Cuban sandwich… Yo Mon… I did have a chance to visit with the owner and she was very charming. I put her on the spot about the business and how she came up with it and she told me the whole story… I encourage you to stop by and have a drink and find out for yourself what is means to be on «Island Time» in Thornton Park. I also hear her husband makes a killer Paella and that is something I plan to find out as well. I am guessing she may have picked up a thing or two with 30+ years in the restaurant industry from the smell coming out of her kitchen. But again… You can check it out for yourself or wait to hear what I have to say in future reviews because I plan to go back… SMILE See you on «Island Time» MON

Wonderful, friendly atmosphere, and the food was fantastic! Great place to take that special someone or just chill. Had mini ciabatta rolls with the best spanish style spanish beef I ever ate! Family owned business that caters to all kinds of people — the music, food, and a terrific beer and wine list! :)

This place is quaint, comfortable and a great place to relax, socialize and grab a good beer or wine. The owner, Audrey, is an Orlando native. She’s the best. She’s lived the history of Orlando.(Ask her) Try out Thursday nights for $ 3 glasses of wine. A great selection of beer and wine. This is wonderful place to meet a group of friends before or after dinner.

THORNTONPARK – If you want a quiet place to sit with another person or a few friends to have a conversation and a few beers, glasses of wine, or a nice cup of coffee, and some food, there is actually a cozy place in Orlando that we discovered last night called«Island Time.» It’s on Washington Street, just east of the Summerlin intersection, on the south side, a cheery yellow house next to Wild Side. It’s so nice-she has a fire pit outside, and the wood smells so good and makes for a really comfy atmosphere. It’s a new business, and I’d hate to see it not succeed. A lot of people wish they could have a place to go where they could actually have a conversation and not have to say,“What did you say?” or do the pretending-you-heard thing. This is that place. Island Time.
