Walked inside and I was greeted right away by the host. The inside décor was nice with the little fish tank and the unique fan in the middle of the resturant. Service was decent and the food was really good for the price. Chicken tenders were very crispy and the pasta was a bit watery but overall decent. Would I go again with my date? Probably not but I would go again for a casual hangout joint.

«Chicken Pot Pie is to die for.» My wife, daughter, and I visited Cheddar’s newest location in East Orlando, on Colonial Drive, as a treat for my wife, who was working an extra-long day, while we had the day off. Despite a broken arm, Donnie took our drink orders(hot tea, strawberry lemonade, and a coke); and, made sure our drinks were kept fresh throughout our meal. My wife ordered a full-slab of the Baby Back Ribs, which were tender, tasty; but, with enough«bite» so they didn’t(and shouldn’t) literally fall of the bone. With just a slight smoke ring, they were very good; and, a bargain at less than $ 15 — the going rate in Orlando is north of $ 25! I had the Chicken Pot Pie, the only thing I have ever eaten at Cheddar’s. At $ 7, it is an incredible bargain; and, it packs incredible taste! It is topped with a tender, flaky crust; and, includes thick chunks of succulent chicken, fresh peas, and diced carrots. what more could you ask for?

Been here a number of times and always love it, tonight I went with my friends and family(10 of us all told) for mine and my friends birthdays. First off they don’t take reservations but i called ahead to just let them know we would be in on a Saturday at 6pm when they would be busy. When we got there(about 525) it was busy and they said it would be about an hour for us to be seated because there was a party of 20 in front of us. It only took about 15 minutes for us to be seated at a nice table where we had lots of room to be comfortable. Our server was great fast friendly and funny ^^ even the food was just so good and we cant wait to go back again. 5 stars every time ^_^

This place was delicious! I dined here on a Friday night. The place was packed and we were told it was a thirty minutes wait. We waited and after thirty minutes, we were seated! The prices are very reasonable and the wait staff was decent. My companion even ordered the wrong item(steak instead of chicken) and they fixed the problem for her promptly! I had one of their burgers with a side of mac & cheese. Portion sizes for entrées are bountiful and deliciously worth every penny. Sides are a little small, but just as delicious. I would definitely love to return to try more of their dishes.

This is one of my fave places. I visit there at least once in a month. Stakes are very good. If yo go late you may loose the chance to order ribs. So why 4 stars? The men’s room is disgusting. Really bad and dirty to sir. I believe they don’t wash hit after 3 p.m. if you don’t use restrooms, the best place for having a good lunch/dinner.

This is the best place to gorge outside of an all you can eat establishment. Nicely priced and incomparable portion sizes make this a good stop in East Orange. It can get very busy during peak hours but that’s not a show stopper. The cheese bites are the stand out appetizers. Fried and served with a delicious marinara sauce; it’s the perfect lead in to a delicious dinner. Speaking of dinner the chicken tenders are more than filling and the Monte Cristo is definitely a must try. The assorted sides are tasty minus the pathetic Mac & Cheese.

Normally I love this place but I just sat at a table for ten minutes waiting for a server to even say«hi, I’ll be right with you» and never heard a peep. So I walked out.

I wasn’t expecting much because I’m not a huge fan of chain restaurants but the food was better than I expected! My husband got the spasagna and it was delicious! For dessert we shared the chocolate cake and it was amazeballs. The reason for 3 stars then? The service was not awesome, otherwise I would’ve gave it a four star review!

We enjoyed our first experience at Cheddars. The Baja chicken was very flavorful and so was the honey buttered croissant. Our server was attentive and sweet. We loved the décor, brick walls, hardwood ceilings and the tables look like butcher block(they are beautiful). The ambiance is inviting with high ceiling, gorgeous ceiling fans and the fish tank that you can see from the dinning room as well as the bar. Did I mentioned the affordable prices? Great job overall. We can’t wait to be back!

Poor experience overall, service and food. Understand the from«scratch» concept, but long ticket times, unseasoned food, drinks from the bar that came out after 20+ minutes. App hit the table just after drinks came out and just minutes before our entrees did. Server was no where to be seen for most of our visit. Overall slow night in the restaurant, plenty of staff walking around. Maybe team service and helping each other out in sections.

Came in for a family dinner. I think 4 of us got the same thing combo ribs and chicken tenders. I really enjoy their ribs, you can’t go wrong with them. Their chicken tenders are really good too. For my sides I got the broccoli which was fresh and a yummy mac & cheese. Another person got the country fried steak and tried it, it was good. Gonna order that on my next visit.

I wanted to like this place… Heard some good things from some friends. Ambience is definitely really nice, prices seem quite reasonable, lunch combo(6.79) is comparable to Panera etc. However the items we ordered, Buffalo Chicken wrap and the Monte Cristo were so-so. Nothing spectacular. The Chicken Tortilla soup is flavorful but the chicken is too overcooked /hard.

This place is awesome for cocktails… they are creative and inexpensive. It is a scratch kitchen, so wait time is expected… However, I feel like our server was unorganized and aloof. Our food was great, but we had to keep reminding the server to bring us our beverages and he even forgot to place our order quickly. 4 Stars because we have been here before and if it weren’t for the server it would’ve been five stars.

My family is in town for the holidays and we decided to bring them here since they don’t have a Cheddar’s where they live. I got the Country Chicken Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes, green beans and Texas toast and it was amazing! If you get stuck on the rather large menu, give this dish a whirl. You won’t be disappointed. Well done. Too good and I was too excited to take a picture. Sorry.

A recent restaurant on Colonial in Orlando, Cheddar’s is a dining experience that is inexpensive and great for ages all around. I’ve eaten here a couple times and have enjoyed their varied choices of dishes. I’ve tried their fried chicken to their salmon. Their fish dishes are not bad at all and are pretty inexpensive. I’m not too impressed by their food, like it’s just okay to me. I haven’t found an impressively delicious dish there besides their side of corn. They have an interesting drink menu and I’ve tried their frozen strawberry drink where you pour the tequila shot in there yourself. It is ridiculously difficult to pour the shot in there without it overflowing or you sitting there mixing your drink trying to get the ice to melt. I don’t quite understand the method they have with this drink but it was very sweet and difficult for me to finish. Service wasn’t bad, they were attentive even on a busy night. Lots of parking outside. Ambiance has a casual vibe and decorations are classic and modern. I don’t see a theme right off the bat either but it’s very Florida if that makes any sense. All in all, not a bad place, will come back again if friends make me.

This place honestly is a hit or miss when it comes to both service and food. Personal recommendation would to be ask to be seated in the main dining room. I’ve had less than acceptable service every time I’ve been seated in the bar area. This place is great for drinks! The Painkiller is my favorite. They limit you to having only 2 due to the alcohol content. Honestly I think it could use a little more alcohol. This is a very affordable place if you’re on a budget with decent food. I do like the fact they offer smaller portion sizes for some of their entrees. They are a scratch kitchen so everything is fresh and cooked to order. Some of my favorites are the Monte Christo, Chicken Fingers and the Pot Pie. Hopefully service will improve. Keep in mind this place gets packed quickly so if you’re in a hurry I would suggest not going at peak hours.

After driving back from St Petersburg earlier in the day, neither of us felt like cooking dinner tonight. We set out for a burger at The Oblivion Taproom but changed our minds at the last minute and decided to just turn into Cheddar’s since it has been a while. Mama and I have been long time fans of Cheddar’s BUT this is now my third trip to this location and I can’t picture myself returning after today… After moving here from Texas, we would get our Cheddar’s fix at the Sanford location when it opened. It was a wee bit different than the Texas locations but there were a few minor changes. A week after this location opened, we dropped in and since they were new, we expected it to be crazy busy BUTALL of the Texas locations we have ever been to and even the Sanford location was a CRAZYBUSY dinner hour. A wait was just expected… When we pulled in, we were surprised how empty the lot was BUT we just figured it was the rain. We went in and the hostess greeted us immediately. My wife requested a booth, the hostess took us to a booth in the bar without asking if we had a preference. There was one service on the table and the hostess said she’d return with another. That never happened! Our server came to the table and took our drink order and never noticed the missing service. When she returned with our drinks my wife requested a second service. We ordered a bowl of their Baked Potato soup along. Mama wanted the Jalapeño Cheeseburger and I asked for the Smokehouse Burger. We were trying to save room for dessert for a change… lol When we received the second service, it turned out her fork was dirty and my knife was also dirty. Our server never even asked how we wanted our burger cooked. A few minutes later she returned to ask if we wanted the soup as an appetizer and we said yes. Our soup arrived and my wife’s soup was placed with the soup spoon away from her. Her packet of crackers was stale and both bowls had soup slopped on the sides of the bowls. We never said a word about the soup but I did request a second service and gave the dirty silverware to the server. The brought another service and it was clean. The Cheddar’s we remember would have never let this bowl out of the kitchen. The flavor of the soup was EXACTLY what we remember BUT over the soup bowls have shrunk quite a bit over time. The«Cups» used to be just a bit smaller than this bowl and the«Bowl» used to be one of the large soup bowls. They used to offer sour cream for your soup. The burgers were NOT the same burgers that kept me loyal to Cheddar’s. Both burgers were well done and the meat was not seasoned in either burger. The size of the burgers used to be much larger than the burgers served tonight. If you look at the photos, they were slopped together and no care was given to the presentation. Cheddar’s used to have MUCH higher standards than this… The jalapeño’s were overcooked to the point that they were hard according to my wife and they bite I took of her burger confirmed that. I let my server know what we thought of tonight’s meal and she offered to get the manager. She was very good at handling the situation and but the problems I have seen go way over her pay grade. I had already made up my mind this would likely be my last trip to this location so I declined. Since I knew the manager I chose to just talk to him after paying for my meal. We requested to see Cat and the hostess went to get him. He came out front with us and we told him about tonight and I showed him the photo’s of the meal we were served. I had met him my first trip to this location but in spite of a very bad start, I gave them 2 more chances. My wife has been loyal to them for over 15 years and I started going there in 2004. I will visit one of the other Cheddar’s to see if it is just this store or if this is coming from the top. If the other locations operate in this manner, I will be crossing them off my list in spite of how much we love their potato soup! Service — 3 Soup — 3 Burger — 2 Presentation — 2

Came here for lunch. Wait for five was about five minutes. Décor: 4⁄5 –The large booths can comfortably seat 6 –There are large tables for 10 Service: 4⁄5 –Food came out decently quick, within 10 – 15 mins of ordering. Food: 5⁄5 –Spinach Dip was great. Not as watery as some other places. Great flavor, not too salty. Perfect for sharing –Country Chicken Fried Chicken for 9.99 is the best bang for the buck. You get two huge pieces of juicy plump chicken and two sides. –Strawberry Lemonade was a bit sweet and the chunks of strawberry makes it hard to sip with a straw.

I waited and dined a few times before finally writing a review for the suddenly popular Cheddars. My personal experience is that it’s really hit or miss here. The first time I dined here I had a wonderful experience. Their Mexican soup was fabulous, but then on another occasion it was salty beyond words. I once ordered their miso glazed salmon off the low calorie menu and it came with broccoli and ginger rice. The rice tasted nothing like ginger, while the broccoli was so over cooked that it would fall apart to mush when I tried picking it up with a fork. The piña colada was weak, and my friend and I joked that it was the best coconut smoothie ever. Because the food isn’t consistent in quality or taste, it’s difficult to give them anything more than three stars.
