I have been bringing our cars to Oreland Citco for years. They always get it right the first time and for a good price. I trust Rick and his crew completely.

Rick is the owner and head mechanic. He is honest and charges fair prices; which I feel are below the competition’s. This guy drives me home after I drop my car off so I don’t have to take SEPTA train and get charged for going 2 stations away (I live in Glenside) and then he picks me up so we can settle up! Great work at a great price.

Rick and Pat are as good as it gets. My whole family takes their cars here for service – even my cousin drives from 15 miles away. Fair prices, good work. There’s a reason you can’t squeeze into the lot edgewise.

I’ve been taking my car to Rick for 2 or 3 years now and now my mother and my fiancée have also begun taking their cars to Rick. Not only is Rick one of the cheapest mechanics in the area but he goes out of his way to help you get it done for the best price and never rips people off. I haven’t had a single repair that wasn’t done right the first time with Rick and last night he stayed in the shop until almost 10 at night if not later (we drove by around 940pm) working on my fiancée’s car trying to get it back to us that night. Rick has a level of loyalty to his customers that is few and far between. There really is no end to the amount of positive feedback I can give about Rick and Oreland Citgo it’s a hidden gem and one that I hope will be around for years to come.

This is hands down the best repair show I have ever gone. Both me a my boyfriend just put our cars in for inspection. I needed all new brakes and I couldn’t afford to pay for them all at once. He let me pay half when I picked up the car and I went back to pay the other half the next week. He also picked me up at my house at no extra charge. This is your true neighborhood garage.

My family has been taking their cars here for decades at this point. A few times in high school when I first got my drivers license and had my first experience with getting a flat tire, they patched it and inflated it for no charge. My brother drives an ancient Ford Escape and Rick has probably been the main reason why his car still gets him to and from Pittsburgh every couple of months when he comes home from college.
I moved back to the area and I have a new car, which as of now cross your fingers needs little maintenance so I was taking it to the dealership near my work. After some bad experiences I am now willing to go out of my way to take my car here even though I live about 25 miles away. Its the type of place where when you get the keys back to your car, they say come pay us whenever… aka holy wow they aren’t just trying to take your money they actually care about fixing your car for the least cost possible.
So I recommend you try to whatever it takes to maneuver your car into the constantly packed parking lot.

Honest and fair pricing. I’ll always to out of my way to take my car to Oreland Citgo for any repairs. The owner, Rick is honest and his prices are fair. One of the few mechanics out that that you never have to worry about ripping you off.
It no secret either because his place is always packed. I have an older car and everything that has gone wrong with it has been fixed by Rick and his team.
I once went to a tire plus where they said my car needed $ 1000 in work done. Rick looked at it and the cost ended up coming out to under $ 300. Rick and his team are quality mechanics. I’ll never trust my car with anyone else.

You can tell this is the best auto repair by the overflow of cars in the lot. Rick is great. He won’t over charge you. Excellent o deal with. We have been going there for years and wouldn’t consider going anywhere else.

Good reasonable professional, personal service. Been coming here for years, trustworthy owner. I’ve had inspections done, tranmissions replaced, timing chains replaced, mufflers, wheel bearings redone. All welldone!

My husband took our Honda Accord in for whatever sound was coming from the right front wheel. We were previously told by a ‘friend’ of a family member that it could possibly be a wheel bearing and that particular issue would cost us $ 400.
Said spouse goes in and follows up with Rick at Oreland Citgo instead. Rick said, «if it’s a wheel bearing, which I’ll buy for X price, I’ll charge you $ 200» (compare that to $ 400!). Well, as it turns out, it’s just a funny tire – nothing unsafe, just a slightly deformed tire with a bit of a lump that made the most annoying sound ever. We had the option of just living with the noise for awhile or getting a new tire. We went ahead and got four new tires for about $ 518 (we were due for them soon anyway)…not top of the line (which Rick claims isn’t worth it), but not completely crappy ones that’ll show their value shortly after purchasing them (Kumho Solus tires which run at about $ 109+tax for one; that makes it about $ 11 for one tire change; the average tire change is $ 15 – 30). He threw in 2 free spares that, by themselves, are good for a couple of months. The diagnostics (having the mechanic driving it and putting it up on the lift) was on the house.
There was ample opportunity to rip us off on some big stuff, but instead we got the issue inspected for free and a little lesson on tires.
This place is incessantly busy and the lot is always full. My neighbor’s dad brings his van in all the way from South Jersey, and that guy knows everything.
If you think you have the answer to something, but you’re uncertain, I would go out of my way to hit this place up for a second opinion. Call them ahead and they’ll give you an idea about costs and time issues if you’re specific enough.
