Stevens-Crawford Heritage House

Such a sweet home! I had parked in front of the Stevens-​Crawford house to drop off some books and noticed it was open. Having never been in before as long as I’d lived in Oregon City and decided to kill some time. There is so much more to this gem of a home than meets the eye! You will be transformed to a much more simple time while meeting the family who had once lived here. The docents were wonderful, informative and very sweet! The history of the area as told through the memorablia this family left behind is fascinating! What I didn’t realize is that this home was quite contemporary for it’s time. Everything is so well preserved and the ideas Mary implemented to build her home were cutting edge and ingenious! I would highly recommend visiting. The admission is free but honestly, giving them a few extra dollars helps them so much!
