Closed! :( I came here a couple weeks ago and found the maintenance guy scrubbing Karl off the windows. I still wanted to try so many things! Cry.

I’m so confused! Walked past here the past few weeks — first time Karl’s was closed during regular business hours and then today all the windows were blacked out and there was no more signage. I hope it’s not closed for good! I’m so sad I will no longer have my go-to shake place! Sadness!

I love this place. There are two types of shakes I love. The first is your standard shake. A good vanilla or chocolate(maybe a malt) that is thick and creamy. Nothing too complicated, good ice cream blended well with milk… boring stuff. But I love it. This is not what I come to Karl’s for. Karl’s has these amazing flavors. I ordered a Cherry Cobbler shake. It fricken’ tasted like Cherry Cobbler(or the drink equivalent)! Do I want an Horchata Milkshake? Why the hell not??? It’s about the flavors. And man, they certainly get it right(at least the stuff I’ve tried). So I love this place, because it gives you an opportunity to drink things in shake form that you’ve never thought of drinking before! Cheers!

Yummy! I’m always looking for new places to eat and I am glad I found Karl’s. He’s a master at Krepes [sic](Yeah, I know it’s Crepes, but they’ve got this Kardashian thing going on, where every C is now a K.) These light, crispy pancakes are a dance of perfection on my tongue. The staff person, Mary, is a sweet gal. She was patient when asked questions, knowledgeable about drinks and is cheery about getting you exactly what you want. She made wonderful suggestions and helped us to choose lighter, healthier, yet tasty options. With all the many types of meats, vegetables and sweet fillings to choose from, the combinations are delightful and endless. I chose the Mediterranean Krepe which was loaded with olives, cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, onions, red and green bell peppers. The best part was that for a limited time, they have a special tasting that costs only $ 1.99. Small enough for an afternoon snack or order 2 to make a meal. The regular price is over $ 5 so this is a steal! My friend got the Turkey, Avocado Krepe sans Bacon and said that it was pretty good except the avocado needed more ripening. Of course, we had to try their Exotic Creamy Shake which is a blend of vanilla softserve, mango, lychee, and happiness. Dessert in a cup. Yup!

Randomly came across this place about a month ago while waiting for a friend’s birthday party at Dave and Busters. The décor is clean and inviting with a diner feel. When I came they were still installing signage and there was no line in the middle of a busy Sunday. That’s how new the place was. The owner, Karl himself, was there and I greeted him«Hello». It was tough deciding between all of the flavors because they all looked good on paper. I had the Yellow Velvet shake, which was terrific. I had all my friends try it. Next time I’m trying the Horchata shake. I’ve recommended the place to everyone I know and plan to drop by the next time I’m in the area.

Chocolate syrup, peanut butter, and Nutella. Extra milk to make it runnier. That’s my custom blend right there. Always hits the spot when I want to splurge on calories and cost. Expensive relative to other shake places. There are only two sizes too which limits me sometimes, maybe in a good way. They have many different combos but if you don’t find one that fits exactly what you’re Jonesing for(like me), you can customize your blend. Careful though, the more choices the more expensive your shake will be. Combine flavors with caution.

Ordered the Horchata and it was pretty legit. Texture was just about right along with the sweetness.

Ordered a strawberry and chocolate shake and it was super good. Good flavors, good consistency. Karl was super friendly. The size was good but just wish the straw was a little bigger. It was hard sucking up the thick shake through a tiny thin straw. They only have shakes, so they should probably think of incorporating other items in order to survive as a business.

Karl’s just opened a month ago and let me tell you, I hope they stay for a very long time. Today I tried the yellow velvet, which is banana + nutella + walnuts + honey + I dunno some other good stuff. It was fantastic. Shake cost me just over $ 4 and it was worth every penny. The most expensive smoothie I had previous to this came from Bruxie, and this was better than Bruxie. No joke, it was like heaven in a cup. They have 10 – 16 premade smoothies or you can also just build your own from their list of ingredients. The people were friendly, even gave me a free sample when I stood outside for too long staring at the window display, lol! I’ll go back again and again to try their other flavors. Top quality ingredients, they didn’t skim on anything at all, this one’s a keeper.
