I tried Jimmy John’s for the first time last night. The staff is friendly and the dining area was nice and clean. The sandwiches are a little pricey, but you can have the option to leave off the vegetables and dressing and pay less. The bread is baked fresh every 4 hours and you can even purchase the loafs of bread that are freshly baked for $ 3 each or the loafs of bread that are over 4 hours old for $ 1. I liked the bread so I bought a loaf after I ate my sandwich to take to work the next day to munch on. The lettuce on my Turkey sandwich(#4) was very fresh and crisp. The meat is not overwhelming like Togo’s and not as skimpy as Subway. To me, it was just right. Jimmy John’s even delivers! I’ve never heard of a sandwich shop that delivers before. I will definitely go back because this was one of the best sandwiches I have eaten.

I had the #7 Ham & Cheese«Super Club». I got a lot of bread and a lot of lettuce. I got about the same amount of Ham and cheese as I would have at Subway. I wanted yellow mustard, but they only put Dijon mustard on sandwiches. They gave me mustard packets of yellow mustard for my TOGO sandwich. Not wanting to try to drive and dress my own sandwich, I spent 5 minutes tearing packets and applying mustard before I left. HEREIS A HELPFULHINT: If you find yourself with fingers covered in mustard, from dressing your own sandwich, go to the the drink bar and wet WASH your hands(serves water). The napkins are right behind the counter, to the left of the drink bar(where you picked up your food) and there is a counter, just to the right of the drink bar, that is just the right height for working on your sub. BECAREFUL opening your mustard packets — one of mine squirted on my white shirt and I had to go back home to change… :-(

All of the delivery drivers are happy to see you! The food is amazing as well, combined with the customer service I would give them A+++++++. Love them!

I seem to be missing something here. Everyone seems to talk about this place but I was meh about it. Employees greeted me right when I walked in which was nice & they made my sandwich very fast. The sandwich itself is very plain. Hardly any meat and tomatoes were very soggy. Probably still better then subway but I can think of other sandwich places that are much better.

I don’t know what it is about this chain of sandwich magic that has me drooling and acting like a fool whenever I step foot into one of these. As most west coasters, I only knew about the arrival of this sandwich chain by accident when I saw a spot for it on TV during a basketball game(SPORTS!). It was after I spoke to my friends from the east coast that my interest peaked. They spoke of this sandwich chain that makes sandwiches tastier than Subway and made as quickly as Chinese food(«I would like the– and there it is»). So naturally I had to test this theory. I’ve been to Jersey Mike’s, Capriotti’s, and other Italian sandwich restaurants before. What I’ve known of them is that they are tasty, a bit on the pricier side for a decent size sandwich, and I never really craved any of them unless on a particular day where the moon aligned with the downward pull of a spring creek in Norway. But when I ordered the Italian Night Club(genoa salami, Italian capicola, smoked ham, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and homemade Italian vinaigrette) I thought this could be a sandwich I could sink my teeth into. I ordered the sandwich and within 2 minutes it was done. OH, THESPEED! I saw them make it too and it was a beauty to see. To have all the meats ready to go and with no craziness for toppings it made for a compact but savory looking sandwich. So how does it taste? The Italian Night Club tasted like all the cravings anyone’s ever had for Italian deli meats on a scrumptious and perfectly textured bread was satiated all in one cataclysmic explosion of satisfaction and joy. If I could share with you what world peace tastes like, the taste is somewhere near it. I couldn’t believe it and within the first bite I was hooked. Ever since then if I ever pass near a Jimmy John’s I have an urge, NAY, a unwavering desire to step in and order 2 to 3 sandwiches. It has been a huge conspirator to my recent weight gain but every pound was worth it. I would highly recommend a person with a love for sandwiches to visit Jimmy John’s. You will know joy for a brief sandwich eating moment and might find some peace while there. Way to go Jimmy! Location specific: This place is not very big but having it near the 91 Freeway and downtown Fullerton is a great choice. Also get one and eat it while walking through the nearby Costco. I’m sure that’s also a good plan. Place is clean, friendly workers, and well lit.

It took us a long time to finally give Jimmy Johns a try. I’m not entirely sure why, but I felt somewhat skeptical. I was so wrong to feel that way. The experience was great from beginning to end. Ordering online… smooth sailing. Free delivery with no minimum… sweet! Delivery guy… very personable… delightful really. Sandwiches…my mouth waters every time I think about the Club Lulu. Their sandwiches are a bit more pricey than what most people are used to but one taste and you’ll know why. The bread alone is worth the extra couple of dollars. Do yourself a favor and give Jimmy Johns a try.

Whooooo they got that delivery to my work. Not gonna lie that sandwich had me feeling some type of way! the sandwiches are 7 dollars, tax and delivery included. No minimum purchase and they are pretty fast. I have ordered delivery twice already. Even after deciding to actually eat my meal an hour after getting it, the sandwich tasted way fresh and not soggy . The website is easy to use as well. My go to if I’m feeling like a sandwich for lunch. Extra convenient. So far so great: p

Picked up a free Italian with a coupon and ordered the Gargantuan for a delivery weeks later. Very customer oriented staff experiences both in person and over the phone, clean facilities, and their sandwich prep and flavor has been consistent each time. Gragantuan is stuffed with meat with a good classic sandwich taste. If you are hungry, this sandwich will hit the spot. Also great for sharing with two if you want a snack. Definitely will continue to be a customer.

Solid sub shop, service always quick and the French bread is always fresh. The only bad part is only one choice of mustard: Dijon. You can get yellow mustard packets

It was a brisk autumn night in Chicago. As the sun’s rays turned into the gentle afterglow of twilight and the many beers from Streeters warmed my soul, I became aware of one distinct primal urge — I was hungry. I scanned the horizon and saw a strange sign emblazoned with the words, «Jimmy John’s.» Hailing from the West Coast, I knew not what lie within. I ventured forth. 90 seconds later I held in my hands the hallowed #5 with double meat and peppers. As it journeyed down my throat hole, a tear came to my eye with the realization that I would never again have a better fast food sandwich. Every year after I journeyed to Chicago to feast upon the divine glory. It was one of the few things in life that I looked forward to. Maybe the only thing. In 2014, I entered a nondescript strip mall in Orange, CA and beheld the face of God… if God was a Jimmy John’s. I mean, He’s not — that’s silly. But He eats there. It’s in the Bible. Stop judging me! The world is a brighter place now. Birds frolic through the fields and children fly around singing. Mortal enemies lift high their JJ sandwiches to fulfill the prophecy of old that proclaims, «Unto us a franchise is born! Unto us a sandwich is given!» The chips are good too.

HOWDOTHEYMAKESANDWICHESSOQUICKLY? It’s light speed! Jimmy John’s is a nice break from subway. It tastes more REAL unlike Subway’s reputation for meats heavily doused in preservatives. I can definitely taste the quality in the sandwiches at Jimmy John’s. Plus, it’s fun to say! Jimmy John’s Jimmy John’s Jimmy John’s. Anywaaaay, we ordered 8 inch subs online. There was really no need to though since they make sandwiches in a nanosecond. They also deliver! #2 Big John I was expecting a huge sub as I’m used to Subway’s huge portions. This sub was made with French bread and wasn’t as big as I was expecting. Maybe I’m just a fatty LOL. This sub consists of roast beef, mayo lettuce, tomato. I could taste the freshness of the ingredients but I wish there was more of it! Not generous on the meat at all. I was bummed. You sure can pay extra for more meat though! JJBLT(Jimmy John BLT) You can never go wrong with a BLT. This BLT obviously contains bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo. Again, ingredients made for a terrific sandwich but would totally be better stuffed with its ingredients. Overall, I’d definitely get Jimmy Johns again but with EXTRAEVERYTHING. I can only speak for the subs here. They also have other types of sandwiches and more types of bread. Bummer that I have to pay extra for my ideal sandwich. Extra charge for more meat and $ 1 charge for wheat bread. This place didn’t make me convert. Still on the lookout for my favorite sandwich spot!!!

BF saw somebody online eating a Jimmy John’s sandwich well over a year ago, and he has wanted one since. When we went to San Francisco earlier this year, it was on the itinerary, but it was closed when we wanted to go, so his little heart was broken. I mended his sad sandwich heart when I informed him there was a Jimmy John’s in Orange now. He has never been more excited about a place to eat, I swear. So, we stopped in today. Basic sandwich joint, nothing special to it, except they do deliver, which I thought was cool. I don’t know the delivery radius though. The cashier was friendly and walked us through the menu and the different types of sandwiches they have. I ended up getting a Beach Club and BF got the Italian Night Club. The sandwiches were ready in under five minutes, we took them outside to eat because it was way too cramped inside. The sandwiches are large, and I wish they were cut in half. I am sure I could ask next time. I ended up only eating half anyway. Their bread was really good, and we both liked the flavors of everything on our sandwiches. I am sure we will come back here again.

Fantabulous service! I’m a jimmyJohn’s virgin no more — thanks to the awesome cashier for helping me navigate the menu for the first time. I loved the Beach Club sandwich with its turkey and provolone, they were happy to put in extra cucumbers and alfalfa sprouts when I asked. The whole wheat bread was super thick and hearty, I almost like it better than their soft baguette things. Small location was clean and the staff was great! Tip from Jimmy John’s dude: get your order to-go. My $ 16 order turned into $ 14.80 when I got it to-go. And then eat it there if you want. I gave him a tip to show my gratitude for the info.

Jimmy John’s was not love at first sight for me. 6 or 7 years ago JJs started opening locations on the east coast, and they opened one right next to Temple in Philly, where I was in grad school. I had a friend who loved JJs as she had grown up in Urbana-Champaign, IL, the home of JJs. I tried it and thought it’s good but was crushed they didn’t have regular yellow mustard or pickles… two of my favorite things on a sub. But over time I realized JJs made up for it in more ways than one. That’s why whenever I’m out of state I voraciously look out for the JJs and I’ve been to locations all over Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado, Illinois, Pennsylvania… you get the jist. I’m kind of obsessed. This is how I order my favorite sub #4 Turkey Tom now and forever: 1. LBI(Leave the Bread in! The one thing I now HATE about JJs is they tear the middle part of your bread out. WTF?!! This is a shame and such a waste. They just throw it in the trash. I really, really look down on this.) 2. Add provolone(I like swiss more, but they don’t have it, although I’ve grown to love their provolone). 3. Add cucumbers(yay) and sprouts(they’re back!) 4. Yellow mustard packets(they have yellow mustard in packets at least) 5. No mayo(yuck) Sometimes I’ll get a whole pickle, but if it’s not diced it’s not the same. The subs here taste amazing. The bread is really what makes the subs so fresh and yummy. That’s why I can’t believe they take the bread out of the middle. crazy pants. The super fast and efficient service, good prices, and general consistency is why I love JJs and I am so freakin fing happy they are FINALLY in So. Cal!!! Now if I can only get a location in the South Bay or Long Beach… Unit then I will be making the 45 minute trek to Orange. I know the Westwood, downtown, and even the Pasadena locations are closer but I just can’t with the parking situation of West L.A. and downtown. I did go to the Pasadena location but with traffic getting there is a huge effort. If I pick the right time, heading to Orange isn’t bad. This location has a big shared lot too(right on the corner of Chapman and Main)

I guess I am missing something. Everyone seems to love this place. I felt it was meh or blah, but maybe I was just having an off day. I will give a lot of credit for how friendly the service is. They greet you right when you come in and they are immediately ready to take your order. They are friendly the whole way through and fairly quick. I did seem to feel a little confused and frustrated when the cashier was goofing off a little and joking as every time I went to say something he made a quick comment to someone and chuckled and I couldn’t figure out what he was saying or if he was talking to me. I guess it does beat a crabby worker. I ended up with the veggie sandwich. I felt that I should have ate a little bit lighter that day since I was going to a dinner event that night, so I guess having bread doesn’t help all the way. I think that they have two or three selections, but I felt like I was holding them up so I forgot to ask. I think they may have had a wheat or grain bread, but I ended up with white bread because I didn’t mention anything. My husband had the Vito sandwich which is pretty much an Italian sandwich, and seemed to really enjoy it. We also got a bag of Jimmy bbq chips and two drinks. The chips were pretty good. Not soggy, but quite crispy. The total seemed a bit high at eighteen something for two subs, chips, and two drinks, where I am able to get the same and a cup of soup for fifteen something, but if you take everything into consideration, the quality of the ingredients were better here and the sandwiches were two inches longer. One complaint, the inside of the sandwich was quite a bit chinsy, especially my husband’s sandwich, where in the pictures they look plump and filled. The place is a little small, so it might be good to eat it outside or get it to go. We were lucky to get a seat on the stools. I would come back, I just hope to enjoy my next experience more and I kind of know what to expect. I just hope they fill their sandwiches more so that it’s not mostly bread, especially with the price tag. I will scope out my options of sandwich selections before I arrive also.

I admit, I was excited when I saw that Jimmy John’s was coming to Orange. I often watch a lot of shows on the Food Network and Travel Channel and during one such show about sandwiches Jimmy John’s was toward the top of the list. Jimmy John’s as only been open in Orange for around a weeks time bit I knew I would check it out as soon as I could and I am glad that I did. What really stands out here above other sandwich places is the service of the employees and the greeting you receive upon entering and leaving the establishment. Being that we arrived during the heart of lunch time the place was busy but that did not stop them from greeting every customer who came through the door. Despite the crowd the food came quickly and tasted great. After taking a few minutes to look over the menu I settled on the #5 Vito sandwich. The Vito is more or less your everyday Italian sandwich but the ingredients tasted great and the bread was quite good as well. All of the breads here are made fresh daily and it shows. They also have their own brand of potato chips in various flavors that were nicely done and really had great flavor. Despite the great taste of the sandwich I felt it was a bit lacking in ingredients. Yes, I opted to remove the cheese and tomato from the sandwich but I do not think that should make the sandwich as flat as it was overall. When comparing my sandwich to that of the pictures on the menu board it really seemed to lack meat and was far too thin overall. The quality and freshness of the ingredients can make up for this to a certain degree but to me this held them back from a higher overall rating. The inside of the Orange location is pretty small with just 2 high tables and a L shape bar with some stool facing the street. They have cool décor with a lot of information regarding the business and its origins as well as some motivational signage throughout. The prices are decent but a bit higher than other places but in line with one of my other favorite sandwich places. The overall service and friendliness really helped the experience I will definitely be back. It was not a perfect experience but it was definitely a pleasant first impression. If they can work out a few minor kinks here and there this will definitely be one of my new go to places for a delicious Italian sub. I look forward to a follow up visit sometime soon to explore more of the menu.
