I’ve been to this place a couple more times since my last bad experiences simply due to how close it is to my work place, and it’s really improved. It seems they got new cashiers, and while they still feel very casual, they don’t seem uneducated in their menu! I got the buddy fries with plum sauce seasoning(which is very good if you want something a bit different), which I really enjoyed. It’s a good portion for the price, which is $ 3, and it comes with a dipping sauce. Food comes out really slow, but drinks are quick, so depending on how much time you have, order around it. I met someone who I assume was the owner and he was really nice as he gave me a sample, which makes me want to support the business more. Good job, Buddy Chicken and Boba! You’re getting better and better.

The chicken was so tender and juicy, yet crispy. It was glistening as if it was from an animé about food. The plum flavor was really good, as well as the curry mayo dipping sauce. Great for snacking after walking through the mall.

Super cute and sweet cashier. She has brown hair, nose piercing, tattoos on her arm and a killer smile!!! I think her name is twee Im not sure cause I looked at the receipt server name thing lol. She was really nice and polite, helped me figure out what i want for lunch because the menu was a bit confusing. I got spicy chicken steak with honey mustard amd siracha mayo sauce. For the drinks i got strawberry slush with whipped cream and a mango black tea with boba. It was really good. Its kind of weird but me and my friends always come here just to see her lol and the food too ofcourse haha

Milk tea is my default order, but the photo of the Thai tea looked so good that I couldn’t resist. I felt it was a bit too sweet, but still good. Another thing, there was too much ice in the cup. However, the staff lead remedied this after I expressed my sentiment. Thanks!

The food is okay. I mostly just get their Thai boba tea. I would bump up the star rating but there are things lacking. When you order to go, they put everything in a bag with no lid so as you’re walking back with your food it’s creating a mess inside the bag. Staff are not professional. I came in and I was greeted right way assuming that they are ready to take my order I started to list what I wanted and was interrupted with a finger in my face to hold on. Hold on to what? There was nothing to hold on for. He was just standing there. When I waited for my food in saw that my order was ready and put in a bag the same guy wasn’t doing anything when he should be calling out my number so I can come up and grab my food. Waiting again I just walked up to him and told him that bag is my food and again he interrupted with a finger in my face to hold on. AGAIN. HOLDONFORWHAT?! Not organized at all.

Sample guy is so sweet! He recommended to try the plum chicken and good thing he did. We were going to try what we knew but he said it was the most popular. Also everything is freshly made! The sweet potato fries also are delicious. The drinks! Had peach and mango black tea. Taste more fresh than any other boba place I’ve tried. I can see this place getting very popular. Definite must try

Stopped by here because I wasn’t feeling like any of the chains I have come to know at The Block’s food court area. The menu is straight forward although I wasn’t sure on what would be the most bang for my buck. It did seem a little pricey for a quick lunch — $ 27 for two people including drinks– I’ll get more to that later. Got the chicken steak and made it a combo for $ 2 more. As a combo, you get to choose a number of sides: fries, sweet potato fries, fish balls, calamari balls, etc. The order came out really quick and I enjoyed the taste of the chicken. They used a different batter on them– something that resembled rice krispy cereal– I got my chicken flavored with their original recipe but they also have a spicy and even a plum flavor. You get a choice of several sauces to go along with them as well. You have to remember that this is like food you would get at any boba shop so I was in need of rice or salad or anything really. Luckily, one of the workers heeded to my need for this and provided a complimentary bowl of rice which would have been another $ 2. As I mentioned, they serve boba and tea here and they go well with the food as expected. Would I come back? Yes, but after my first experience, I understand this place is better suited for a quick snack than a lunch. P. S. all of the workers were on it and doing their best to create a positive experience; definitely should be commended.

When you walk into the store you get the vibe that they don’t want to serve you and they hate their job. The workers are young adults and don’t take the job seriously. The workers don’t wear uniform so you’re not sure if the people actually work there. Stop roasting your coworkers in front of customers. Lol The popcorn chicken is very expensive! $ 7… no thanks. The guy with the mustache and tattoos is very nice.

Imma switch up my review. They fixed up a lot of things. They now have strawberry bits to add onto their drink. I usually get the mango tea here. Its super sweet so maybe get it not as overly sweet. The service has gotten so much better thanks to Vincent and Nancy. They actually bring the drink to you personally. Service doesnt get any better than that. Overall the store had become more lively. The tables are super clean and the menu remains pretty strong.

I love this place! I dont mind waiting, their food is really good! My favorite food chain in this mall. Really. I’m just tired of Rubios, Subway and those salty chinese food. This place offers good and healthy food! We always get the rice bowl which has the chicken steak(get the original with side of sriracha mayo sauce-So BOMB), also comes with salad and brown rice They have boba’s and slushes too! Must try.

Nice staff, food is good but the wait is waaaaay too long for a boba and chicken place… I ordered a popcorn chicken and waited 30mins. When I ordered I asked how long it would take and he said 3 mins. Now 40mins. After 45mins… Finally got my food…

The Popcorn Chicken was just okay… We ordered 2 but they only gave us 1(we were not charged for the 2nd) The staff is very inexperienced and Extremely disorganized. The Cashier was not helpful when we had questions about the menu and was not friendly at all. She had a scowl on her face the entire time we were ordering. Will not come back until they are more organized and have a friendlier staff.

I only ordered the Kiwi Slush and my order was forgotten so I sat there for 20 minutes for one drink. The guy previous to me probably waited 40 minutes for his order, poor guy. At least his order was on the house, not sure if it was worth the wait. I understand the server was new, but they shouldn’t have left her at the cashier and in charge of the drinks by herself. Kiwi Slush isn’t too bad, but I don’t think I would be coming back until this place is more experienced.

When I first heard of this place, I was a bit skeptical. Was thinking of Roscoe’s chicken for some reason… but it’s popcorn chicken. Thought this might be a possible replacement for Tastea that the Outlet has been needing! A good friend of mine took me here to try it out. There was a line out the door, but it was completely understandable since this place just recently opened and it was a Friday night. I like how you can customize your drinks using a green or black tea base and then mix it up with different fruit flavors and fruit chunks. I ordered the mango black tea. The cashier messed up an order and I ended up getting both a regular milk tea along with my black tea. Told him about the mistake and he was very friendly about it. Even offered me another drink! What strikes me as different about this place is if it’s slow, the cashier will bring the drink out to you. That’s a big customer service bonus in my book! The milk tea itself was tasty. The mango black tea is debatable, however. I couldn’t quite taste the mango but my friend really liked it. He also ordered the popcorn chicken. It was a bit on the dry side, but flavored nicely and it came with a side of spicy mayo and another sauce I don’t remember. If I was shopping around, I would stop by this place but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

+ Awesome friendly service + Boba place at the Block again! + Indoor seating +/-Could use more options when it comes to drinks I came here with my buddy to check this place out. It’s the first boba spot to open since the departure of Tastea a long time ago. Came in and ordered some Thai Tea w/boba. It was pretty decent, there’s not much to complain about. However, they could use a bit more of different flavors. I mainly wanted honey-dew milk tea, but that wasn’t on the menu. They do have some nice food options though. I didn’t try any, but do plan on trying some on my next visit. I’ll probably give it another chance before writing this place off since it’s still new. Oh, and Princess Nancy + Vincent = Super awesome.
