We are from San Jose on a hockey tournament so we are testing this place out for the first time. Bruxie is famous waffle sandwich place and is very good, best chicken and waffles my dad ever had! My siblings want more chicken tenders on the kids menu. I had the roasted turkey club which is very good and there was so much on the plate! I had a chocolate shake and it tastes like someone froze a Starbucks hot coco which I am not complaining. The Cesar salad had no croutons, it would be awesome if they put bits of waffles in the salad, I would love it! Oh, i forgot, this place sprays mist everywhere and it feels nice on a hot day. In all a very neat place and we would come here again

First time attending any bruxie ever, although I have been meaning to go for a while! This location is immediate outside of the Chapman Campus. Parking can be hard to come by in this area, but the store has a small parking lot directly behind it for customers. Seating is outside only, although there is a cover so you can be in a shaded area. I ordered the classic buttermilk chicken and waffle sandwich and crinkle fries. It was really good! The coleslaw on the sand which didn’t have crazy flavor, but the sand which was still really good. I will definitely be back to try the pastrami, and a couple of the salads on the menu sounded pretty good as well!

Oh boy, Bruxie. Can I call myself a hipster if I knew about this place and was a frequent customer before all those new branches opened up?! Although there are plenty of other more convenient locations for your classic Bruxie fix, I’ll always go to this one because it has a sweet spot in my heart, sweeter than their waffle treats. Their original location, the orange branch is located right across from chapman U. If you’re a student here, you have class next to one of the best lunch spots I could ever imagine. Since their inception, they’ve expanded their menu(I believe). From the original green eggs and ham to the new bacon avocado burger, Bruxie is known for its amazing full meals inside a crunchy, perfectly made to order, waffle. My personal favorite is always going to be their Bruxie burger. Their meat is grilled medium but tastes juicy enough to be medium rare. The ingredients, though not too plentiful, are fresh and delicious. Mixed with the crunchy waffle shell and you got a perfect meal. Grab a side of nachos or waffle fries to go and you’ll be begging for more. The only reason I would give this place a 4⁄5 and not a perfect score is that the parking here is horrendous. Even for a campus setting, you’ll need a permit to survive. The location, since it can’t expand, will not provide any spots for you to park your car. You’ll need to be lucky even to get a public parking spot. Despite the horrible parking situation, I’d come here again and again. For their amazing service and good food, Bruxie you have a great spot in my heart! Eat well and prosper,

Bacon and avocado & Classic Brux, was very good! Make sure to ask for a combo for waffle fries and drink. Great customer service.

Oh bruxie. Ya’ll are chill. The Orange location is my favorite. Mostly because it’s just so convenient right after school but overall I love the staff and I always have a good experience. I normally get the original buttermilk chicken, and although it has changed over the years I always go back to it. Their salads are great too — huge! One setback about Bruxie is that everything is a la carte so you have to pay extra for fries for an already pricey meal. I went in yesterday and ordered a sandwich and forgot that it doesn’t come with fries. I went back and tried to order an add on of fries and they were going to charge me the full amount instead of the combo even after I had literally just ordered. They said there wasn’t a button on the screen and they had to charge me the full price of fries without a combo. I said it was fine and ordered the fries anyways but I would suggest training the team to manually put in the price of combo fries instead of denying the customer. Not that big of a deal but I just want to warn anyone ordering to ask for fries ahead of time or you’ll pay an extra 1.50! All in all, chill place. I’ll always come back. Check it out if you haven’t yet!

I’ve never thought waffles could taste so well with every other piece of heaven in this place. Bacon, tomato, chocolate, steak and what not, you name it! They are able to add up all the right ingredients with their waffles and leave their customers wanting more. :) I definitely recommend this place around Orange. Whether it be for snacks, lunch or dinner, Bruxie is the way to go! I recently ordered the Belgian Chocolate Smores with their Pink Lemonade. I got a sweet tooth and this sweet tooth is definitely very satisfied!

fried chicken, waffle taco. Where can you go wrong? The waffle was on the thinner side which made it much easier to handle the fried chicken and all of its wonderful toppings and sauces. I liked the crispiness of the waffle. It wasn’t doughy or too thick in where you lose the flavor of the chicken. I had to switch my buffalo chicken waffle sandwich with Randy’s regular one because that buffalo head butted me in the mouth. The additional bleu cheese crumbles and slaw added a nice creamy texture but that sauce was too spicy for me. :(my fault. By the time I was eating his chicken(shut up dirty minds!) my mouth couldn’t taste anything but hot. There was my chicken chance. The waffle fries are deliciously crispy! Not one soggy sad fry at all. And if you want cheese and bacon on those suckers, that option is available too. I was happy to see that they had a mint chocolate shake! Oh my lactose tummy was not so happy 30 minutes later but it was worth the torment. The bottom of the cup is coated ever so lightly in chocolate syrup, the smooth milky silkiness of the mint filled to the brim of the cup topped with a mountain of whipped cream and more chocolate drizzle. sugar high heaven! I’ll have to go back to try the chicken again, unscathed.

There are absolutely no words to describe my love for bruxie. Every time I’m close to one, I NEVER pass up the chance to eat here. What could go wrong with waffle EVERYTHING?! Nothing. My go-to is the Carolina pulled pork sandwich. It comes with coleslaw and a tangy bbq sauce on it. I don’t normally like coleslaw, but it really ties the sandwich together. And hello, the waffle. Other savory sandwiches that I have tried are the traditional cheeseburger waffle sandwich and the chicken sandwich, both really great. As for the sweet sandwiches, I do not think you can choose one that would not be amazing. Everything from decadent and chocolatey to light and fruity. My favorite so far has been a seasonal pick — the lemon meringue and rasberry filled. Trust me, this waffle sandwich may be a hyped novelty, but Bruxie truly does it right!

I love bruxie! Can’t believe I’ve never given a review. Well I came on a Friday night, was a little busy but they were still so attentive and fast. My food was amazing. The thing I love most here is the pure cane sugar sodas!!! Well we had the fried chicken waffle sandwich, it was so good. We also had the dessert waffle with Nutella and banana… Bomb! Of course we also had waffle fries. Def give it a try! Second picture added for different visit on 5⁄13

IM A FANOFBRUXIES and this location is probably my favorite. Minus one star for tough parking.(Street parking) I usually come here with myself and someone else. We usually get the waffle chicken sandwich and the burger with a side of the fries. The burger is so juicy!!! For dessert, we ALWAYSSSS get the crème brûlée. SOOOBOMB. I love how the strawberries are a bit sour but then there’s that sweetness from the crème brûlée that makes up for it. Ugh sooooo good.

Delicious waffles! Very crispy and light. I typically don’t enjoy the combo of fried chicken and waffles since I feel that both items are very heavy. However, due to the really light nature of Bruxie’s waffle, the fried chicken was complimented really well. The iced coffee wasn’t particularly amazing. I would say to skip the beverages and come here for the waffles and fries.

I was skeptical of this joint because I typically find waffle sandwiches to be too sweet, but not here! I decided on the Buttermilk Fried Chicken and waffle fries. The waffle held its own as a bun through out the meal because it was really airy and crispy. The fried chicken breast was really thin and had a drizzle of sweet honey glaze that paired well with the waffle. It also came with some slaw. I ate fried chicken and fries, but didn’t have any regret afterwards, mainly because of how smoothly it went down. The waffle fries reminded me of Chick-Fil-A because it was not greasy. Bruxie is a «Green» restaurant and it reflects in the food they serve. Also, excellent customer service was provided. I will be coming back to try their burger.

Been coming here for a while. Came near closing on a Monday night and it was pretty empty. This meant fast service and open seats. Unfortunately, they only have outdoor seating here and it has been cold lately thus not the most ideal of situations. I always end up getting the original waffle sandwich. As I always tell my friends, I come here more for the taste than the food. The chicken is usually always nicely fried. and their waffles are well made. The honey glaze sauce thing gives it a nice sweetness to it along with the cole slaw. It doesn’t always completely fill me up, but the prices tend to cause me to not order more. I definitely suggest you to come try it if you are not from around here, or have not had this before. It isn’t your typical chicken and waffles. They also have many different kinds of waffle sandwiches you can try. The fries tend to be very common, but in my opinion they are just regular waffle fries. Come check it out! Take a walk around old town orange if you have have the time!

What a unique place! I was a little bit skeptical of waffle sandwiches but I was pleasantly surprised! I had the turkey club and I really liked it! The waffle was light and delicious and he ingredients were fresh and tasted great. The turkey was real Turkey and not lunch meat style. I also enjoyed my side Caesar salad. Everyone else in my party enjoyed their food as well. I do wish I had tried the tomato soup– it smelled so good! I don’t live here but if I’m ever given the chance again I would go back.

I’ve been to bruxie a few times and every time I get their fried chicken waffle. Yum! The chicken is juicy and perfectly fried outside. The cabbage slaw adds a nice crunch. The waffle is crispy outside but fluffy inside without being dense. And the spicy sweet syrup drizzled inside really pulls it all together. This location only has outdoor seating, but they do have heated lamps around. There’s plenty of tables too. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. This time my boyfriend and I came for breakfast with my sister and her husband. We shared the fried chicken waffle and the bacon egg waffle. They shared the fried chicken waffle and green eggs and ham waffle. The bacon egg waffle was tasty, but pretty much exactly what it sounds like. Nothing too special. I tried my sisters green eggs and ham and it was tastier than I expected. The«green» is an arugula pesto. I thought pesto for breakfast sounded weird, but it was really fresh and flavorful. I would recommend this. They have serve yourself water, utensils, and condiments. Overall, their food is consistent and tasty. I would recommend and return!

This place is absolutely delicious! It’s an outside location that had been evolving over the years. They now have a roof area that overs you from the rain and the sun. They have heaters and ceiling fans for whatever the weather might be. The menu is all inclusive, they have something for everyone! Breakfast they have waffles, and other breakfast items. Lunch: They have some of the best burgers around Dinner: They have chicken and waffles and whatever else you might be craving. They also have lettuce wraps if you don’t want it in the waffle buns. They also have salads if that is what you are craving. They syrup they have for the waffles and chicken is just really good. I took my son here and he has a pb&j sandwich with fries and a homemade strawberry lemonade. He really liked his sandwich, but as a kid, you eat all the fries whenever possible. Meanwhile I ordered the Bruxie Original Burger. It came with a waffle bun, lettuce, pickles, tomato, and a secret sauce. The food was amazing, the strawberry lemonade a little too sweet but I put more water in it and it was fine. The fries were great, thick, and not greasy. This location has really evolved and it’s great for whenever you want to come, but be weary because it is literally across the street from Chapman University and Oldtown Orange so it’s always packed.

Decided to take the family here for a brunch. I’ve been to other Bruxie locations, but it was my first time at this one! PARKING: Extremely small parking lot behind the building. You can probably find street parking a few blocks down. Pay attention to the street signs though! Some blocks are permit parking only. SEATING: All outdoor patio seating! There is no «indoor» at this location. Seating turns over pretty quickly. There are long tables for larger parties, high top tables, and two-seaters as well. WAIT: Line goes by pretty fast and they deliver your order to your table! FOOD: Delicious! Their waffle sandwiches don’t fall apart when you pick them up and they are delectable. Several different flavors and combos to choose from. You can also substitute any«grilled chicken» with«fried chicken» if you like!(That’s what I did). My fav here is always the smoked salmon — very refreshing! I tried the Chicken Pesto one this time around and it was good! I got fried chicken instead of the grilled chicken. The sun dried tomatoes are plentiful! The dessert waffle sandwiches are quite delicious too. We tried the crème brûlée one to share this time around — definitely tastes like crème brûlée in a waffle sandwich! On the sweeter side.

Chicken and Waffles! This place definitely exceeded my expectations. The line wasn’t too long when we arrived. Just enough time for me to look over the menu a few times and go back and forth with what I wanted. I ended up ordering the Southwest BBQ Chicken and Waffles. I substituted the grilled chicken with a fried chicken. Awesome choice btw! I recommend trying it if you haven’t, you won’t regret it!

Amazing waffle sandwiches! We got the Stacked Hot Pastrami and Gruyère, and added waffle fries and a drink for $ 2.95(Might as well make it a combo. The fries are $ 2.95 anyway, so you might as well get the drink that’s included in a combo!) We had their strawberry lemonade, which was pretty awesome :) The ambiance is very casual and relaxed. You order at the window, give them your name and take a seat so that they can bring the food to you when it’s ready. The food came out in 5 – 10 minutes but the wait is worth it because it’s fresh. They have water and condiments on the side available to you, such as syrup. It may sound weird to you, but when we ate the fries with syrup, it was da bomb!

Who would have thought a gourmet waffle establishment would ever blow up as big as Bruxie did? As soon as the ordering windows of this very cramped waffle joint opened, they instantly became a hit! Swarmed since the beginning by college students, Bruxie became big after introducing their new take on a sandwich by using their unique Belgian Waffle as bread for classic sandwiches such as Tuna and Pastrami. Unlike most sweet waffles, Bruxie makes sure each waffle is light, crispy, and non sweet so it could go with both Savory items like their Buttermilk Fried Chicken or Sweet dessert items like their Seasonal Crème Brulee or the smooth Wisconsin Frozen Custard to top off the waffle! The only way this first Bruxie was able to go was up. In the few years Bruxie has been around, they have opened up six more stores and expanded their menu. Salads along with more sandwiches and desserts were added to broaden their range of customers. Customers seem to enjoy just about any item on the menu. As for sandwiches in my opinion, their Hot Pastrami is so simple but so savory and delicious! Depending on the salads, most are overpriced and unsatisfying like the Classic Caesar. If you’re wanting more flavor and bang for your buck, go with the Grilled Chicken Cobb! Desserts are a different story! Everyone has at least a small sweet tooth. Bruxie serves up a wide range of sweetness whether it’s simple like the PB&J or a sugary delight of a Belgian Chocolate S’more! Bruxie’s impressive staff and creative spin on classics make it one Unilocal bookmark you can’t pass up!
