Drive-through liquor stores are a thing of the distant past in Nebraska. Unlike my native Wyoming, where every liquor store is equipped with the same style of vehicle access you can find at any McDonald’s restaurant, liquor stores in the Cornhusker State are generally only of the walk-in variety. Saddle Creek does not have a true drive-through window, but it’s got a place where you can park your car in a drive-through area and walk up quickly. Saddle Creek is also a dive, but they have a decent selection of booze and reasonable prices, so if you don’t mind getting service from a guy behind a bullet-proof barrier, stop in.
