My favorite week night or daydrinking hang out spot.(Its a little much for me on the weekends) i like the big bar side, you can get a huge booth and play a card game, or people-watch out the windows, or sit in the back by the bathrooms and the jukebox and take over that whole seating area. I love that they infuse their own vodkas, and that they always have some crazy concoction with a funny sign for you to try. Alex is the best thing ever, can’t go wrong with him mixing your drinks.

Love it. Love the people, love the atmosphere, love the drinks, love the cigars. This place is full of life Saturday nights. Good music, not too loud so you can have conversations at your table. Bartenders are super friendly and hardworking. It was crowded but I hardly waited for a drink. Looking forward to going back.

This is an interesting place, with three different businesses going on in one. You have a well stocked tobacco and beer store on one side, a Cigar Bar in the middle, and the bar on the other side. The ‘store’ looked well stocked, and as others have said, a good selection of beer. I can’t comment on the Cigar Bar, as I am not a cigar guy… The bar side though, I can :) It is a small space, but warm, I dig it. This place has some nice craft cocktails and they know how to make a drink. Most recently had ‘Poison Mule’(a take on a Moscow Mule made with Jaeger), and it was damn good! Great spot to stop in and have a cocktail.

This place has an awesome beer selection as well as a full bar. Alex, one of the bartenders, makes the BEST Vegas bomb cocktails. He’s our fave bartender in town. There is also a great music selection. For date nights, it’s really nice to go on a weeknight and tuck yourselves away in a little corner on the bench style seats. The outdoor patio is small, but one of my favorite places to hang in good weather.

First time at Jake’s. Good beer selection! There were plenty of places to sit at around 10pm on a Saturday night, they have a separate outdoor smoking area, the crowd was fun, a lot of friendly people from bartender to patron, I enjoyed myself and the company of patrons at Jake’s!

Cool joint with multiple places to hang out in. Stopped by for my first time Sunday and I will definitely be back! There is a store in the front of Jake’s with a wide selection of craft beers, etc. If you keep walking to the back and you will find the main bar and an outdoor patio. GREAT spicy bloody mary. Served with a sidecar on Sundays, which is appreciated.

Open early with a great selection of beer. Everyone was very kind and directed us to an excellent deli across the street.

Overall this place is nice and a good cigar isn’t too expensive. The drink selection is wonderful and they have a quaint patio out back to smoke. I think the only shitty thing is when we were there on a Wednesday night, they didn’t have waitresses so we’d have to go into the bar every time we wanted a drink. It wasn’t that big of a deal but they had one bartender who was not very friendly. His name was Eric and when I asked him for a drink when he came to pick up our glasses, he said, «no, I’m not a waiter. You’re gonna have to go into the bar». The rude way in which he stated it really upset me. I’d go back but I will go out of my way to avoid him. ERIC, wear your kind personality to work next time!

Finally sat down and had a cigar here. For me this is only a 3 star spot. Their humidor is small, dark and tight. It has a dive quality that the regulars here probably love. Folks kinda start piling in and they can get a little rowdy for my taste. They had a good mix of music playing which I appreciated. I go to cigar bars(and everywhere else) alone a lot and usually a person or two will chit chat a bit in passing. That didn’t happen here, so that’s something to keep in mind if you’re alone and want to mingle. The service was great, and they had High West Campfire which is a major plus! Mainly, I don’t love it but I can clearly see why others do so I bumped it to 4 stars. I probably won’t come here often myself, though.

Bought a cigar and asked where the smoking area was the cashier pointed to the back, I went all way back lit my cigar and shortly after a very rude waitress came over and said I couldn’t smoke there and walked away so started to put the cigar out. As I was putting the cigar out the same waitress came back over and told me that wasn’t allowed to smoke there and took my now un-lit cigar out of my hand and asked me to leave. I cant believe how rude she was to me I’ve never been treated so poorly I’ll never go back there.

Good selection of craft beer and savy cocktails. Weekends are always a melting pot. Sitting down can be a challenge.

Jake’s in Benson is a pretty cool little joint. the beers are pretty good, selection wise. Right now without the ability to smoke inside I like it even more. For a few years I went to Jake’s in Lincoln and I hated smelling like cigars. I enjoyed the Omaha location more than I thought I would! Located in the heart of Benson and just off the main drag it is a good place to get some good beer and enjoy yourself. I had some great sour beers from Belgium and some from New Belgium, but I guess you had to be there. I will be back again when I find myself on the strip

My husband and I order Moscow mule every time I go there. The bartenders seem to be nice and respectful. They make good a Moscow mule that’s served in a copper mug which is authentic.

I know Jake’s is very popular but I just don’t see it. Nice selection of beers and good cocktails. However the service is always sooooooo slow. This is always the case with me when I have visited. With the concentration of bars in Benson… I tend to take my business elsewhere.

Jake’s is just about as good as it gets in Omaha. They have just about everything you could possibly want at a bar, and more. Great selection of beers on tap and they rotate them frequently. They have multiple beers by local Nebraska breweries which I think is great. Great selection of liquors as well. Now the front of Jake’s is like a little convenience store type thing where they sell alcohol, cigars, and a few other things. It looked like they had a decent selection in the coolers, as well as wines, but I didn’t spend very much time looking around. The next part of the bar is the side where you’re allowed to smoke cigars. They have a bar with a small selection of drinks, but they can run and get drinks from the main bar if need be. There’s a limited choice of cigar lounges in Omaha which is a plus for Jake’s. The main area of the bar is pretty open with booths lining the windows. They also have a little seating area with some benches and a large TV or Projection screen(I can’t remember, it was New Years?). This side also has the heated smoking patio(which is nice for smokers I guess) but sometimes it can make the air a little stale or smokey if you’re sitting near it. Yes, there’s hipsters. You’re in Benson deal with it. It’s just a fact that hipsters like better bars than you.

New Years Eve. Crazy. This place was alright. I really want to complain about my hair and coat reeking of smoke the next morning, or that I sounded like a whiskey drinking semi truck driver the next morning, but I just can’t. I knew what I was getting into when I read«Cigars and Spirits». Fun bar and the servers were on their game, for sure.

I’ve always had a good time hanging out at Jake’s. Plus their little convenience store up front has a good selection of beers and, of course, tobacco. Good bartenders who can and will make good drinks. Also always a nice variety of craft beers on tap, a few of which(surprisingly) can’t even be found across the street at Krug Park. This place can get way too busy for me on weekends though. I’m not a big fan of walking into a cloud of cigar smoke indoors either.
