Red lobster is what you expect at pretty much any location. I always get salmon and it is always good. The staff are so nice! I am always a fan of great service.

What happened to this once decent chain. Wow what a disappointing meal. Most recently on a week night I went in to this location and while most of the restaurant was empty, I had to wait because they were short on help. Then cheddar biscuits typically warm and tasty were cold and hard. The salad was lifeless with limp old lettuce. The final straw was the meal I ordered a simple Walleye dinner priced over 20 dollars could have been fish and chips at any bar in town for 10. I think for the price you can do much better. Favorite comment, I said to the waiter when asked about my meal that I thought the food was sub par for the price and the fish for the price was hard and over cooked, he said«well I’m not going to eat that tonight».

Unfortunately, the host staff is not very friendly and shall we say just rude. We came out with the family to eat. We had to get our name on the list. I asked how long the wait would be and they told me, «Well, your party checked in 16 minutes ago and we had told them 45 minutes so…» A simple 30 minutes would have been a better response. The biscuits are the only bright side of this restaurant :)

Hadn’t been there in a while so we went last night. Was really looking forward to their signature biscuits but didn’t get any until after our appetizer and salads had arrived, and only had 4 in the basket, the exact number of our party… The crab linguini had bits of crabshell in it and the crab tasted stringy, like the rejects from the crab legs at the chinese buffet. One kid got macaroni and cheese, which looked like they just made a box of easy mac and gave him half. The service was great and our waiter was awesome, I don’t fault him for the biscuit thing. But he’s pretty much the only reason this isn’t a 1 star review.

It’s Red Lobster, so you know what to expect food wise. My review is based on their attitude and service… or lack thereof. I travel a lot for work and end up eating a lot of meals by myself. It baffles me why there is such a negative attitude towards women dining alone. The hostess seemed baffled that I was alone. Then, after being seated, when there was clearly only one place setting, the server still felt the need to ask if I was alone. She also did not feel the need to tell me about any specials or anything else. Just took my order and left. The manager also ignored me. He stopped at the table of the man at a table dining alone to ask how he was but didn’t bother to ask me. It’s 2015 people. Women are allowed to dine alone! And, when it’s deserved, I tip better than most men I know.

The service was excellent. The food was delicious. The only thing that wasn’t so great was my little sister getting yelled at by the guy in the booth in front of us because she was looking at there table. I guess 3 year olds can’t even look at a table without getting yelled at by a crazy old men. I sincerely hope that men never has kids in his life. We will definitely come back. Hopefully next time there is no crazy old men.

Had lunch at red lobster on 72nd street(after going to NFM). Food was gross. had ‘create your own lunch’. Had scallops and garlic shrimp scampi. .scallops were served in WATERA with butter or oil(mgr tried to say Scallops exude water. .an inch and a half of water and oil, really??)…disgusting. ‘garlic ‘shrimp scampi was flavorless. Salad had brown slimy pieces. Hubby had breaded shrimp and chicken tenders… BOTH were from frozen and tasted disgusting! We each ate 2 bites and left! Don’t go there! !

As a well established chain restaurant, with Red Lobster you pretty much know what to expect and the results don’t disappoint. I’ve had occasion to eat at this 72nd Street location many times and never had a bad meal though sometimes better than others. They frequently have coupons for lunch/dinner or special promotion coupons for a free appetizer or dessert. Most recently, I had the seafood stuffed mushrooms and the Ultimate Feast — lobster, crab legs, shrimp — and it was an ultimate feast. I felt like a glutton with that giant plate of food in front of me but it disappeared pretty quickly! The cheddar biscuits are delectable and the servers will keep refilling the bread basket until you cry uncle. As a side note, there is a box mix now available in grocery stores for them and they are really good, too. I’ve always found the service and cleanliness at this location to be up to par.

Wow! The food was very good! I was by myself. When I told the hostess, «One», she implied I should sit at the bar, but I didn’t want to. And that’s okay, but silly me I felt like I was taking up a whole booth and that the waitress would be cheated out of a tip from a bigger group. Well, I prefer not to be waited on by the bartender and I didn’t want a drink… so there. I ordered the Salmon New Orleans with broccoli and green beans. She asked if I wanted a half portion and I replied, «Yes». I didn’t get a half portion, but it’s okay because I was SO hungry and the food really was SO good. FYI — there was no mention of half portions for this particular entrée on the menu. I was surprised when she asked and was excited to be able to get one, but I’ll repeat. I didn’t mind. It was delicious! The veggies were done to perfection and tasted just a bit of butter and spice. They were not drowning in butter and they were not too salty. The broccoli was a little ‘stemmy’, but that didn’t stop me from eating every bite. The salmon was done to perfection. It flaked beautifully and was so moist. The shrimp and pico de gallo added just the right addition of texture and zing. As with the veggies, the salmon was flavorful and nicely seasoned. Best of all it was not too salty. So many restaurants rely on supplying flavor through salt. Not the case with this meal. My goal was to stay paleo and this particular menu item fit the bill perfectly. I passed on the cheddar biscuits. Can you believe it?

My wife and I had not been to Red Lobster for several years and after this visit it will be many more before we try this location again. I had the fish and chips and it was the worst piece of fish I have had in many years. My wife ordered a margarita with a salted rim and they used sugar instead of salt. The only reason I’ m giving them 2 stars is the biscuits(as good as we remembered) and the service.

Not bad. Not great. But not bad. Food at Red Lobster is a hit or miss. Sometimes the food taste completely«pre-prepared» and other times it taste freshly prepared. This time the food tasted like the former.

As a Chinese grew up in a coastal city eating fresh seafood on the daily basis, I am a professional crab and shrimp diner. I love the snowcrabs here, I eat them without any tools, tools will only slow me down… sauces are delicious… I highly recommend the Saracha shrimps, my husband and I ordered a lot. The lady who served us was the warmest and sweetest ever. I asked for Malt vinegar, she brought a whole bottle to me right away. Will definitely come back!

As many times as we’ve been here, I never get sick of it. The only drawback is the price. We can never seem to spend less than $ 100.00 when we come here. Surprisingly slow for a Holiday. Everyone must be out camping or at fireworks shows cause it is dead in here today!

I ordered the rock lobster tail. The server explained that a Maine tail is more tender, but it is smaller and can be ordered a la carte. I said I was familiar with rock lobster and wanted it. She said she mentioned the Maine because she«didn’t want any problems.» To me that meant that i could not return it if i didn’t like it. It was ok, but somewhat overcooked and overly seasoned. I tried others’ lobster dishes at our table, with smaller tails, and they were lacking in flavor. I’ve cooked supermarket frozen tails that had much more flavor.

I have become a bit addicted to reading the«review» stream on Unilocal. It’s fun to spend five minutes a day seeing the past 24 hours of experiences people have had here in Omaha and with friends around the world. I have seen a ton of negative reviews on Red Lobster recently. I haven’t been to a Red Lobster in probably a decade and as it is a chain it’s not on my radar. I was invited out last night to go to Red Lobster and part of the reason I said yes was to see how on point some of these bad reviews have been. We got there at 8PM on a Saturday night and the place had business, but wasn’t over the top full. We were seated right away. We had a baby with us and they brought out a sling immediately to put him in. We were told right away that it is Lobsterfest and given the run-down. Drink orders taken right away, waters brought out, orders taken, biscuits brought out. Our sever Sheena(I remember because of the Ramones song) was super friendly, informative and made suggestions when asked. Our soups and salads came quickly. Our entrees came right after we were finished with those. They were brought out by multiple members of the staff and our waitress was also right there thanking them. A great example of teamwork. The biscuits are as amazing as they always were and the next thing you know you already had five(and when did a ninja bring more of them?). The clam chowder soup was lacking. It was a bit bland and not as thick as I would have liked. I was expecting more. The first of the lobster entrée’s(a split lobster… I am no seafood expert) was delicious, tender and tasty. The second was a bit dried and rubbery. The baked potato was pretty good. I am a stickler on baked potato’s and I want it burning hot in tinfoil and full of butter. This wasn’t perfect… but it was fine. The shrimp scampi was fantastic. A ton of shrimp, the sauce was thick and stuck to the perfectly cooked noodles. There are some pasta places that could learn from this dish. We also ordered some crazy drinks for fun… I had some tall crazy strawberry daiquiri that had a very good presentation and tasted excellent also. After our meal a friendly manager came over to check with us… checked in on the sleeping baby and seemed to genuinely want to know out thoughts. I told him that I thought Sheena was fantastic and she really was. I have been a sever, managed retail for many years and been in customer service all my life and she gets an A+ and is a rare find. Indugling in some Red Lobster is now back on the radar.

I don’t know what has happened to this place since my last review, BUTABSOLUTELYNOT!!! I’m from the east coast, so shellfish — primarily lobster is my forte, I still would venture to Red Lobster. After the experience I had there on Saturday, I do not recommend this place. First off, we were at a table of 6(3 couples). Two of us had water, the others had tea or soda. Those of us with water probably shouldn’t have ordered water. We sat the ENTIRE meal with empty glasses. Our server, Dave, filled up the sodas and teas — once, but when we would ask about water, he said he’d be right back… never to show up again with water. Our meals started off okay, except for my salad. I understand that restaurants order their garden salads in giant bags, but the least they could do was PICKOUTTHEMOLDEDANDWILTED pieces of lettuce. I put one piece on my appetizer plate, Dave picked it up, I pointed out the piece, he said okay, and left with the plate. When he came to collect our salad plates, I pointed out the VERYMOLDY piece of lettuce I found shortly after he left the first time(of which had caused me to completely not touch my salad, I can handle a wilted brown piece, I will not tolerate mold on my salad). I pointed it out, he snapped at me with an «okay» and took off with the plates. At this point, I’m about livid, but being with friends, I was trying to be patient. I order the same meal every time I come to Red Lobster: Ultimate Feast, but please sub the fried shrimp(Walt’s Favorite Shrimp) with broiled sea scallops — I’m not one for most fried foods, the oil churns my stomach. Four of us had ordered meals that came with crab legs. He brought out one plate with two crackers and 2 wipes… there are four of us eating crab legs, and I love my friends, but I’m taking one of the wipes! We asked for more, we got nothing. Also, one of the four of us didn’t receive crab legs. My plate came with very poorly fried scallops(to the point the so-called breading was falling off and there was a puddle of clear oil under the scallops). When I brought up that I asked for broiled, he snapped at me again with a monotone«okay» and said he’ll be right back… before I could even finish my sentence or my friend could say she was missing her crab legs. He comes back a little while later, still no scallops, of which my friend was able to ask about her crab legs. Those come out fairly quickly, I still didn’t have my scallops. Um… I’m not eating the fried puddle on my plate, so I inquired, again, VERYNICELY about the scallops. Finally, they come out. I brought the situation up to the very tall long-haired manager on the way out but at this point, we were so mad with the service, I just wanted to leave the restaurant, in which we did. If you want to venture to this place, sure, be my guest, but do not sit in Dave’s section apparently. After coming here once or twice(if not more) a month for several years, I will say, this last experience has me bittered enough to never go back.

Cleanliness 4 Service 5 Food 5 Likelihood 5 1 – 5(5 Best!) 4.8 It has been a while since I have visited RL. We would normally eat this location. Upon arrival the hostess informed us of our wait for a table(not booth.) She updated the wait time when the table they had planned to use for us was going to stay and visit instead of leave, insuring we knew it would be a longer wait.(GREATJOBOFCOMMUNICATION.) We were offered a split both/table which worked well and off we went. John our server was comfortable, seasoned, and had a great rhythm to what he did. Friendly, polite and fun. GREATJOB! Never had to ask for refills, timing of food was great. Again, great job. Food. The food was hot, tasty and fresh. Prepared just the way we asked for it. The restrooms were very clean. AND when they where not on a names list for seating, the host staff was cleaning! WOW! Really? Something new to see in most restaurants. I LIKEIT! I am fan. And I am a fan of John, WOW server.

We had a hankering for crab legs and seafood. Went to the Red Lobster off of 72nd. Good service, but seafood was just okay. Salad comes with meal — had a Caesar, not really all that special. Had much better. Entrees: Crab legs were slightly overdone, but still okay. Bar Harbor Lobster Bake — A roasted split Maine lobster tail, tender shrimp, sea scallops, mussels and linguini in a garlic and white wine broth.(Not bad) Dessert: Warm Chocolate Chip Lava Cookie — A warm, thick chocolate chip cookie with a molten chocolate center, topped with vanilla ice cream and drizzled with chocolate sauce.(Also just okay, nothing special — probably would not get it again)

What can you really say — it’s a Red Lobster. The food is edible, some of it even decent depending on what you order. I had the shrimp nachos on the last visit. They used to be lobster nachos but the staff here claims there is some sort of lobster shortage. Seems odd since there are 20 other things on the menu containing lobster. The biscuits are worthless — I don’t even unwrap them from the napkin they are served in — salty and gummy. If you want cheap seafood in a «family» environment I guess this is your place,
