A predictable place to stop for some classic American comfort food. This is the location we hit up close to home, but we also manage to always stop at one for a meal on almost every roadtrip. It’s not award winning stellar cuisine, but it’s good and certainly better than a drive-thru. My go-to entrée is probably the meatloaf. The food seems like it’s gone downhill over the years, but perhaps my tastes have just refined and changed over those years. Taste is pretty much consistent, but quality really varies. Sometimes my meatloaf is hard as a rock and sometimes it’s heaven on a fork. If they paid a little more attention to the hold times on their food it wouldn’t get dried out. They do serve up a pretty tasty breakfast. Pancakes, French Toast, Eggs, Hash, and so forth. I’ve never been disappointed in their breakfast. However, I cannot believe they don’t serve waffles. Also, a few years back they switched from 100% pure maple syrup to syrup that is only 55% maple syrup. Not cool. Service is always very friendly, but frequently inattentive. I don’t know if the wait staff is always spread too thin or what. If you need anything after your food is delivered then be prepared to wait. Wait staff disappear into the kitchen for very lengthy periods of time. I always seem to be at the end of my patience as I wave them down from across the dining room. Put more wait staff on shift already! The store is just a gimmick to squeeze as much money out of diners as possible. I’m sure everyone already knows that, but succumbs to the allure of the merchandise anyway. I will admit, it is fun to wander through and certainly makes the wait for a table during peak hours a lot more tolerable.

We’ve always liked going to this place. You get to browse through their store while waiting for your table or play checkers outside by their rocking chairs. Lots of selection for breakfast as well their seasonal menu for lunch and dinner. Service is great and the place has the Old Timey vibe.

As I have done many times before I ordered some take out from cracker barrel, however it was not at this location. They told me it would be complete in 15 minutes which was important because this was a run from work and needed to be done within a time limit. It was not ready at 15 minutes, it was more like 20 – 30 minutes from the order being put in. They forgot a side, but made sure to take the time to charge me for it. They seemed in no rush to get the job done quickly. I won’t be going here again because as of now, its off the list of places I’m able to run while I’m at work since they are unable to give me a realistic time frame for pick up.

On occasion we go to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Our son loves sitting outside and playing a game of checkers after we eat. and I like walking around the store while we are waiting for our food. We arrived a Saturday morning and got seated right away. They stuck us in a table in the corner when you first walk in which is a little cramped area where I had to face a wall.(I absolutely hate facing a wall while eating I feel like I’m a child whos parents stick them in the naughty chair) I didn’t really understand why they sat us there when the dining area we were in was half empty was just odd. I almost requested to be seated somewhere else but I didn’t want to be «one of those people ». next time I will though. One thing I do have to say is the children’s menu for breakfast is very limited. the kid can have an egg with a biscuit and you have to order the meat separate which of course cost extra. I really think they need to let kids order from the entire kids menu for breakfast(this would include the lunch items). the portion size for kids are very tiny and expensive for what you get. Now on to my food. I tend to get the meal where you get a sampler. I love the cheesy hashbrowns and the biscuits and gravy. The sausage is «country«style so its very small but tasty. When you order that sampler thingy you may think you are getting a lot of food but in retrospect’s you just get very small portions of different things . I wish they would have it where you could get lunch for breakfast but I am sure because of the vast menu they don’t do it to save time for their staff. The prices are getting more expensive as with everywhere else. I’m sure if they go up even more we probably will stop going. Not really worth it when other places are cheaper.

Everytime we go we there is less quality and worst service. I had chicken tenderloins(grills) and ½ way through I noticed that some of my strips had mashed potatoes on it. I didn’t have mashed potatoes… Ick. I hope it’s not recycled. We waited for a long time ot get our tickets and drink refills. I used to love this place with it’s home cooking style. It’s just not as good as it used to be.

I dine at this Cracker Barrel quite frequently here in West Omaha. They have one particular dish that I order every time. it’s the haddock dinner, and it is excellent! It’s a tender flaky whitefish with a very light baked coating. Delicious. I also get the mac & cheese, and green beans as part of the 3 sides as well as a side salad which I had already eaten most of, and therefore it is not in the picture :-) The restaurant is very clean, and well-maintained. Personally, I don’t spend any time browsing the gift shop but I’m sure they have some nice things for local and traveling patrons to look at, and or purchase. I’d recommend this Cracker Barrel to anybody.

Very friendly service! All of the servers here are very nice and attentive. The food is always hot, fresh and tasty. The free biscuits and cornbread are terrific. I am usually not very adventurous, but last time I got the sampler and it was great. The ham tasted great, but the chicken and dumplings were ok. Maybe they are a acquired taste but I won’t hold it against them.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. Every summer my grandparents would take us here. The atmosphere is very unique: It’s an old timey country store, with a huge front porch full of rocking chairs and checker boards, as well as a country restaurant. The food is great! I always get the chicken fried chicken with three sides. I really should venture out and try something new; however, I just can’t make myself. This time I went with my mom for lunch at 12:30. For my sides I got dumplings, fried apples, and hashbrown casserole. All were delicious. Our meals also came with corn muffins and biscuits on the sides, which is always good. I am never disappointed when I go here. Also, the country store is a great way to buy time if there’s a long wait to be seated. Ladies, check out the clothes! I found a really cute and vintage dress there. :)

They could try and have something for gluten people, but what they do is outstanding. Turkey sausage was very juicy, and hash brown casserole was great.

Loved the wood burning fireplace and the country decorations. Server was great and brought out complimentary cornbread and biscuits because the kitchen was busier than normal. I had the chef salad and it was big enough to take home for dinner.

I enjoy eating at this national chain. Very cool décor and interesting things to look at and or purchase. The food is very good … been several times and really like the variety and the quality. You really can’t go wrong grabing breakfast or lunch or dinner here. Just good food. I good times.

I went here with Debra R and Jose R for lunch. I had the low-carb bacon cheeseburger with a salad. Debra R had the trout with a salad and Jose R got the grilled chicken tenderloin with turnip greens. The food was really good. This place had a store attached to this restaurant. I got a small wooden squirrel sculpture and a small wooden owl sculpture. It was a really nice store.

I’ve eaten at Cracker Barrel Restaurants before so I wasn’t expecting much but this experience was beyond horrid. Arrived during lunch(12:30) and they were out of the special. I thought maybe an omelet would be a safe choice, no omelets on the menu and the waitress didn’t have a clue. I ended up ordering a dish described as Chicken & Dumplins’ and it was inedible, bland pieces of a chicken-like substance, flat doughy tasting things that were maybe supposed to be perceived as «dumplins» all floating in a blander than bland off-white«gravy». Never again will I consider eating at any Cracker Barrel anywhere.

I have had great experiences at Cracker Barrels across this country, and I have had some disappointing service. I have never had bad food at a Cracker Barrel. Cracker Barrel uses a star system for it’s employees. The more stars you have on your apron, the more training and experience you have and hopefully, the better service and care you are able to provide. We had a two star employee serve us this past week. She was incredible. She«read» the table well and knew exactly how to care for us. She was NOT an order taker, she was a great server! Didn’t miss a refill, checking back, knew what a raised eyebrow meant without having to raise our hand to get help. She cleaned away our dirty dishes and even offered after dinner coffee. She was a delight and made the meal extraordinary, as was her tip of 25%. Great job.

Screaming child oh screaming child Pout and Unilocal and wail. slam your plate and just go wild Your parents on discipline bail. Turn your face a deep blood rouge Spin your bowl of creamy carrots ride your highchair like a louge And foam like a rabid ferret. Pout for granny, make her swoon Disrupt the entire café Your manners are equal to a baboon That’s having a really bad day. The food is average at best, the gift shop is rediculous. But the poorly parented spoiled kid factor really hurts this place.
