Wind Up Here

I love wind up here because they have the whole spectrum of things that are fun for kids not just plastic battery powered things. Wind up Here has science kits and board and puzzle games, it has puppets and figurines and all the little party favor type toys, kazoos and WIND UP things. Dress up, active stuff like frizbees and kites. Also they stock a lot of Playmobile and that stuff is awesome.
I tend to go here for presents for my niece and nephews or friends kids. Also I go here myself. I always wind up there… awesome I got bad in at the last second. Seriously though it is a good balanced kids store, with lots of things that are fun and good fer kids brains and the staff seem to have fun.

My husband bought all of our daughter’s birthday presents here. Wind Up Here wrapped all of her gifts for free. They did a fantastic job!

I love this store and so do my kids. I love buying local and this store does not disappoint. They actually encourage kids to play. Their prices are higher than Toys R Us and Amazon but you get great customer service and a chance for your kid to play with a toy before purchasing it. Love the vibe of this place and the nice and friendly employees.

We have been coming here since it originally opened. We purchased toys for our kids then our grand kids, now the many cousins, nephews and nieces. There seems to be a new little one coming along every year and Wind up Here is where we go. There has never been a time where I couldn’t find something for a Birthday or Christmas present. I love the fact that they will wrap it all up for you and can head out to that Birthday Party right away.

I went in looking for a locally made, organic, toy/​educational piece for my brand new baby niece. Having no children myself purchasing a toy that a mother would also love is still a bit of a mystery to me. No biggie, I asked for help and was walked through every single item they sold in my age group. Ended up getting an organic giraffe teether and an organic stroller toy of a bunny with ears that crinkle (apparently a huge hit with le bebes).
I will go back as my niece grows and feel confident knowing that the toys I purchase her are safe and local!

What fun! Here is a store that doesn’t mind if a 19-​month-​old pulls the balls out of the bin one at a time. Or, if the 19-​month-​old spends a half hour mixing up the wind up toys. Or, if grandma spends $$$ on the 19-​month-​old! I think we will be spending a lot of time here.
Push toys, pull toys, lacing cards (had to buy those for an older granddaughter for a ferry trip), a huge selection of wind-​up toys (I sent about 20 of them to a favorite soldier in Iraq), Jack-​in-​the box (totally terrifying to a little kid, which is why they do it over and over and over). Sigh, so many toys, but the 19-​month-​old gets tired before I do …

This place is great for hide to find toys or off the wall wind-​ups. Very cute store.

I am currently 26 and I love this store. For the kids, and for me! It is THE place to go for fun fun fun!!!

Growing up, Wind Up Here was the toy store I adored. During the Beanie Baby craze, we were on a phone list where they would dutifully call when new shipments came in and my mom would rush me downtown in hopes of snagging the latest releases — Princess Di bear? Score!
Now that I’m in my 20’s, I can really appreciate the quality and charm of the store, as distinctly above other toy stores. They stock the more educational, nurturing type of toys that are made to last that foster imagination and growth instead of trendy violent bubblegum pop toys. I found myself wishing I was a kid again so I could indulge in all the fantastic science kits, puppets, Playmobile, and childrens musical instruments.
Wind Up Here is a lovely, lovely, well-​edited store. It’s my go-​to place to pick up gifts for my little nephew anytime I am around.

Fantastic selection of toys — puzzles, musical, an entire room for glow-​in-​the-​dark stuff, educational games, PLUSH ANIMALS, puppets!, mensa-​like puzzles, to name a few. It’s really a place where each item is intended to educate and entertain at the same time. All the employees know everything about toys and children/​people for fantastic recommendations.
I finally bought SNAFU, this game with a marble that you have to guide through a maze using controls. I had been eyeing it for sometime online, but saw it here. Score! Lower priced and immediate satisfaction, that’s my kind of place. :)
I also love the sounds of being here. the bells, whistles, pops, boing!, and whooshes. It’s a place I wouldn’t mind being locked in over night. lol.

Cool store. Really like it. You know what would make it better? A pick up window. Let me shop online or call ahead so I can just stop by the window and pick up what I want. That way, I could avoid the thousands of small children running around inside.
Also…more LEGOs!
Besides that, everything my wife said is spot on.

Every toy I have ever purchased here has been loved by the kids!
