I’ve been buying paint from Keith at NW Paint for 15+ years. Keith is my go to guy on all things paint because he knows the trade, sells quality product and takes the time to make sure you are getting something that will work. Over the years, he has gotten to know me, knows what is important to me and the things I can compromise on. Leave the big box stores behind and work with a real paint guy — it’s worth it.

Keith’s a cool guy to talk to and has been very straightforward when it comes to meeting my needs and budget… no awkward salesman stuff going on here. He knows his stuff and carries just about everything you’d need to do a paint job.

BTW, the address is 10274th Ave East, Olympia WA98506. Just lettin’ you folks know. We built our new home from the ground, but it is a tract home, which is synonymous to I-have-a-house-that-kinda-looks-like-my-neighbors– house. It is also steeped in builder grade finishes which is synonymous to ho-hum boring-ness. Its bad enough that we looked similar to the other homes in the community, what made things worse is while we tried to be different by paying extra and going for a presale so we could choose the finishes, another buyer chose to copy everything we did in ours. Including exterior paint. Bummer. So how to make our house feel«unique» again? Paint the inside, baby! And we’re not talking about any paint, dawg. We want the best out there that is endorsed by our favorite designer Ms. Candice Olson and that favorite store everyone calls Pottery Barn. I’m talking about Benjamin Moore, yo! And Northwest Paint in Olympia is the place to be for all things Benjamin Moore! Sorry other paints(I’m talking to you Behr and Valspar!), but you’re no match to Benjamin Moore. Sure its pricier, but for about $ 10 bucks more(depending on type of paint you choose), you’ll get quality. We bought a gallon of Behr in white and I’ve rolled about 4 coats and the buttercream paint color we had on the wall is still peeking through. We got the White Linen in Benjamin Moore in another room and first coat completely covered the color. We did two coats and it was perfection. Price difference between the 2 paints: $ 7. My best friend Benjie Moore wins! Apologies also to them big box stores(ya know the ones with the blue and orange logos) but your paint departments are no match to Northwest Paint and Supply. This tiny spot in Olympia is like a candy store to a paint fanatic like me. And it is great that the owner, Mr. Keith Lovell is super knowledgeable and helpful about all things paint-related. He’s the friendliest paint expert in the world! He’ll offer advise and tips(thanks for teaching us how to paint those perfect no-bleed stripes!), and will take the time to discuss paint matters with you. He wouldn’t press items on you just to make money off you, I mean he suggested we get samples pints for a small project(instead of quart) we had in mind. We listened and we have plenty left to spare to use for other projects. Customer service at its best!
