It’s Friday night and time for a fish fry. We tried something new by going to Todd’s for the first time. We sat in a booth near the bar listening to the locals tell stories and laugh. The mood was fun and friendly. We felt the ambiance is old school and dark with a relaxed pace. We saw a few TV’s showing the local baseball game and one on the golf channel. Our waitress was a hoot. Nancy took our order and brought us waters. We ordered the perch dinner and a chicken dinner. Our meal started with the traditional cole slaw, potato salad, and rye bread. The bread was excellent. The food took a while, once it arrived it was very good. The Pearch came with 7 small pieces and 1 piece of cod. The chicken was grilled with one large serving, both dishes were tasty and satisfying.

The service was fantastic. Bartender was friendly and attentive, took our orders right away. The food came out promptly. The décor was old world wisconsin, which I like. But the food was… Terrible. The ribeye was pretty much raw in the middle with no seasoning. The chicken wrap tasted off and had nasty chunks of chicken in it. It was barely edible. The veggies were mush. However the French fries were fantastic. The place has a real charm but the food made us nauseous.

We go to Todd’s for the best fish fry around! I love that I can get the combo plate of both baked and fried cod(I can’ t ever choose, they’re both delicious) The coleslaw and potato salad are some of the best I have ever had. The place is just all around a nice friendly place to go for drinks and bar food.

Stopped at Todds tonight for a traditional Friday fishfry. Started with a quick few drinks at the bar. Great crowd of friendly regulars. Reasonable drink prices combined with great drinks. Wife and I sat at a booth in the bar, very comfortable. We have eaten at Todds many times and always find great food, tonight was no exception. Service was great, fast and friendly. Fish was cooked perfectly, I had cod tonight but the perch is always great as well. Wife had the fried chicken which is never a great idea on Friday in Wisconsin because often it tastes like fish. Not a problem here, chicken was great as well. Finished with a after dinner drink. Overall fantastic experience, stop by Todd’s if you are in the area

Todd’s is a friendly neighborhood bar & grill with some of the better food in the area. The décor is a bit dated and could use a refresh but they’ve got a long bar and a number of booths when you walk in and then another 2 rooms with tables if you prefer not to eat in the bar area. The Friday fish fry is recommended and comes with potato pancakes, cole slaw, and all the fixings plus the Saturday night prime rib is usually great. Todd’s soups of the day are also excellent(although the French Onion isn’t my favorite anymore) and you’ll enjoy the schnitzel and typical German specialties that you would expect in Wisconsin as well as fried appetizers, burgers, steaks, etc. There are a few bottles of okay larger production wines although virtually all patrons go for beer and mixed drinks. The service can be irregular but you will likely find very good bar food and a friendly atmosphere at Todd’s, especially if sitting at the bar.
