Standard typical Popeye’s. Do not eat a lot of friend chicken, An occasional Tuesday 2 piece special usually does it for me.

I love Popeyes the food is good and what you’d expect. Haven’t had any problems with that. My issue is with the service. I think I’m a fairly easy going person. Not sure why majority of the time I go here I’m met with someone who looks like I’m bothering them and can’t wait to get me out of their face. Seriously, the work atmosphere in there is strange. They’re as «friendly» as they have to be. Also had a hard time understanding the girl at the drive thru and almost gave up. And is there some sort of limit of sauces they can give out per day? We had a large order and asked for honey and only had two packets when we got home. Lol they’re always stingy with their sauces though

This place is a joke! The drive thru looks like a roller coaster, zig-zags and the people taking the orders, not sure if they have latin accent or asian accent… Really heavy accent !!! The food was good, despite they made me go around again to the drive thru because«I «did not order an item, felt like a punishment.

My husband and I were thinking we haven’t had Popeye’s Chicken in a while and it sounds great. We have had it all over the country. I looked up their $ 4.99 latest promotion, which is called Southern Fair Chicken Tenders and consists of(3) Tenders, fries and a biscuit. I went up to order 2 specials and add another side, when I was confronted by a sign that said they were all out of this special… WHAT??? It was not even 2 o’clock in the afternoon. I asked the guy behind the counter if this was right, he smirked and said yes. I asked how this could be and what if anything, they could substitute for the promotion box of $ 4.99 and he said there was nothing. I saw a ton of cooked chicken and the only people eating or standing around in there were employees. I looked at the menu and I didn’t really see anything that fit my budget and I was actually miffed that this had happened because we drove across town to go there. We walked out and I got to thinking, I should speak to the manager. At one time I worked in the corporate office of a franchise holder of 26 worldwide chain restaurants and I fully understand the business. I asked the kid behind the counter to speak to the manager and she came over from behind me. Apparently I am not the only one irritated as she came off somewhat cocky as well. These tenders are not the same cut as the other tenders on their menu, so she said they could not be substituted. She went on to say they did not supply her enough chicken for the month’s promotion, they only lasted a week. I was kinda wondering if they kept the chicken for a month or obviously they are frozen tenders. I know suppliers run out of cuts, but why would their corporate office, where she said she has been complaining not put something else in place. I did not like the fact they did not have their promotion or a substitute for it, but the customer service was even worse. I will never go back to this location ever gain. I am glad there is another one off the 78 where I have always been treated very well. BYW, we just went to In & Out where they always smile and make you feel welcome and(2) cheeseburgers, fries and a shake came under $ 10.00.

Service is slow. It seems like they need more help. Food was hot and good. The staff was polite but not friendly. I tried to order a apple pie and gave up after the drive through girl could not hear me.

This place is NOT what I thought it was in the advertisement. The«spicy» chicken was literally zero percent spicy and the chicken was cooled off and becoming hard, along with the fries. I would not recommend eating Popeyes over Church’s, bojangles, or Jack In The Box. Food wasn’t raw or no long wait so I didn’t want to leave a 1 star review but I am not happy in the least about my experience with their food.

Sorry thieves plain and simple. Got my order wrong spilled the potatoes and couldn’t get my money back. THISISWRONG!!! Managers Reply«I can’t give you your money back because the registers are closed». I have been trying to call corporate but there is an issue with them and corporate. This store managers and employees are full of excuses. If I could give this business a negative in stars, I would,

The chicken is pretty good. The lemonade is horrible… I had a big order once & they forgot my biscuits. The sweet tea is very good. I once got the jambalaya… & it was a waste of money it was just rice and dried out pieces of left over chicken or something with tiny diced sausage. More rice than anything. As far as the chicken, tastes crispy n hot.

I like this Popeye’s and never had a major issue with the food or the service. I love their sweet tea, their biscuits with honey and of course the chicken is pretty good too. The dining room is pretty clean, the men’s restroom is alright and the drive thru is a little tight but not too bad. I don’t like spicy chicken so I just get the mild and the beans and rice is pretty good to me. I don’t know why I don’t come here that often seeing that it’s pretty close to my house. I like Popeye’s and will try to come here more often.

Horrible, horrible customer service at this location. Not only is that an issue, but one of the cooks/managers/I don’t really know what he does, has nasty sweat pouring off of his head and face. I’m sure that has to be a health code violation of some sort. They are rude, and when you disagree with the way they handle a situation, they go straight to speaking in Spanish. This time there was a little girl who belonged to one of the employees here, and I cannot count how many times she has been hanging out behind the counter. This place is a hot mess and probably shouldn’t have a score of «A» hanging in their window. I would stay away if the sweaty man is anywhere near the food!

The chicken here is great, I come here quite frequently from time to time and the service was good. I don’t really have anything to complain about as far as the food goes. It’s a fast food chain and I believe that they provide the needs of the consumer.

Prior: When corporate says they will get to the bottom of something THEYDON’T. Today: I went there just before 11am today and ordered 6 pieces of chicken. They told me it was going to be 5 more minutes for the mild chicken. They had me sit in my vehicle out front for 15 minutes and i wasn’t the only one. So why don’t they have any chicken ready? They aren’t a restaurant in the sense that they custom cook one order at a time. It wasn’t busy at all.

Food is good, but like other reviewers custom service is not good at all! Plus seems like I am always missing something that I’ve ordered. Which is a pain once you get home.

Poor service, unfriendly employees, small amount of gravy… do not go here!!! I rather drive 30 mins to go to another Popeyes than go here!

The only reason I can gave this pop eyes location two stars is because the food is good. However, the service is horrible at this location. If I ask for ranch I get BBQ, if I ask for hot sauce there is none in the bag and usually there is something missing in my bag. Pop Eyes chicken tenders are the best I’ve ever had from a fast food joint but the staff at this location could be a little more attentive and not act like it’s an inconvenience I chose to dine there.

Popeyes chicken is wonderful. Sides are easy. This particular Popeyes is awful. It’s in a weird spot. It’s hard to get to. And service is slow. On this stop there were 4 employees sitting at a table in the lobby. And I person taking orders and another cooking. Hopefully they were having a meeting. But to me it looked like they were F*ing off. But who knows. I don’t know there protocol

Great food — HORRIBLE service. I’ve never had a positive experience here. The ladies that work behind the counter are never pleasant. From other reviews, I’m definitely not the only one that’s had this experience. Currently, I have been sitting here for over 20mins. Waiting with 4 other cars — because none of their food was ready.

Popeyes is my favorite fast food fried chicken. That said, my last couple experiences at this location have left a lot to be desired. — Last month I came here for a 2 piece chicken meal. Chicken was dry, it seemed like it was sitting under the heat lamp for too long. But it was during the lunch rush. I don’t get it. — Today I got a fish dinner, which was supposed to consist of 2 pieces of fried whitefish. They told me they only had catfish left, and asked me to substitute. Cool beans, I like catfish too. Except the catfish nuggets are ½ the size of the whitefish fillets, and of course I only received 2. It’s like getting a kids meal for 7 bucks. I’d typically involve the management, but I took this order to-go, so it’s too late now. — The mac & cheese is pretty bad. The biscuits and mashed potatoes w/gravy are up to snuff, though. TL;DR: Don’t waste your money here. KFC next time?

Is it sad that I drive all the way from Carlsbad to north Oceanside for chicken… I always think Im crazy for doing it. That is until I snag one of those pipping hot spicy chicken tenders, drench it in ranch, throw it down the hatch!!! The drive thru remiinds me of my driving test back in high school but only big concrete curbs instead if yellow lines! The spicy pieces are seasoned very well and have just enough kick! The chicken is significantly less greasy than say KFC. Mashed potatoes have a southern style gravy to it which isn’t my favorite but doesnt totally ruin it for me. Kids meals are reasonable priced and come with really good seasoned fries and a toy. Is it the best fried chicken i’ve ever had in my life? no. But is it mighty good chicken? YES!
