Iron Sights is worth checking out. The prices for rentals and ammo are fair. They have a wide range of hand pistols carrying all calibers along with rifles and shotguns as well as several types of targets. Great customer service and knowledge. Facility is clean, bright, friendly and often come around to sweep bullets. Most of the times I’ve went, depending, I would trade guns to try with neighboring lanes which is nice. Although, I haven’t tried any other range in SD County just yet, being a member of Iron Sights I plan to visit plenty more in the future. Bring a friend, rent a few types of guns, purchase a few hundred rounds of ammo and have a blast!

We have been here a couple of times and are very new to guns and shooting. Until today, they have been helpful and we have had good experiences. Today was a different story. Natalie has a real temper and is very rude. Instead of simply correcting our mistake(nothing dangerous), she flew off the handle and did not stop even after an apology and recognition of what was done wrong. In addition, she pulled our son aside to lecture him without a parent present. That is absolutely unacceptable. It is a real disappointment as we have enjoyed everyone else at this establishment.

Tried calling these guys a couple of times(with about an hour in between of each call) and it just kept ringing until it went to voicemail, despite it was during their open business hours. I decided to go check it out anyways and was happy to find the staff was friendly and the range was nice. Prices are decent, paid $ 26 for me and my girl, pretty sure it costed a bit more since it was our first time and they had to make«range cards» for us. It was fairly busy but we were still able to get a lane right away. We had fun and plan on going again, I gave 4 stars only because they weren’t picking up their phone.

I couldn’t be happier with my experiences at iron sight. The first time I went, I took the handgun course which was very informative and fun. It made me a lot more comfortable with handguns even though I’ve been shooting before. Since then my husband and I built our own AR15s. We’ve been shooting at iron sights since we finished building them. I went in this last Tuesday and was having issues with my gun. Sean(I love that man! Sorry Weldon) came in to the rifle range to try and help me out. He brought Weldon in to help. Weldon helped me diagnose my issue and fixed my gun on the spot. I was getting frustrated because I wasn’t able to shoot but having Sean and Weldon’s help truly made my night so much better! The staff I’ve had the pleasure of meeting there have all been pleasant and helpful. I never feel rushed while asking questions even when they are busy. Weekends do get packed so plan accordingly.

I had a great time here shooting with my teenage boys. But the customer service is very poor. I you are new to shooting they will take advantage of you. They had many extra charges I did not expect. So they told $ 30 but it ended being $ 50. I was pretty upset and they didn’t care. I will defiantly go shooting again but not there ever again.

This place is busy, so get over it. Range fees are reasonable. Staff are very helpful, obviously sometimes they are just hustling to keep the flow going so cannot spend too much time chit chatting. Overall they are really helpful. The last time I took a beretta 9 mm, I told staff that it was not my gun and was not sure when it was last used. He racked the slide and determined that it needed some oil, otherwise it would keep jamming. He stripped it, oiled the slide, checked it once again and sent us off to our lane. I thought that was very cool of him. They realy need to work on there VENTILATION.

So great to be able to IDPA here and have the staff so welcoming and friendly even at 0600 on a Sunday. Even for those that are not members it’s a great way to work on your handgun skills while being challenged to think and move while shooting.

Great short range. Huge selection of pistols for rent $ 5ea. Limited selection of long guns for $ 12ea. One shooter costs $ 14. To use your own equipment. Note, if you don’t own guns and go by yourself only, you won’t be able to rent anything. Great staff, very friendly and helpfull. Ammo and targets available or byo. Just got put down a star because there poor advice on opening hours. Call the phone and a message bank says there too busy to answer the phone when they are actually closed. If you don’t get them to confirm there open on any sort of holiday, don’t waste your time going.

Went in last night to blast some zombies and work on my 5-pt draw. Able to bring down the table on the lane to allow you to practice draws. Very clean and knowledgeable staff which is what you want from your local gun shop. Zombie KIA-2…1 got away

This is a very good range that is clean and well run. Rental rates are very good and they have many interesting guns to rent. The range equipment is not state of the art, but it gets the job done. On busy days, the ventilation system is inadequate to say the least. But their clientele, me included, just seems to like the smell of gun powder in the morning. The 3 members of the staff I know the best are Chris, Terri, and William. They are hardworking, gracious and very knowledgeable about firearms. Seriously, give this little gem a try.

Great place to bring friends and family. The staff is courteous and professional and will treat you like a guest at their home. Staff members are very knowledgable about guns and some of them are active duty Marines. I bought my first semi automatic hand gun here and their prices are comparable or even better than the competition. As a novice gun owner, I somehow jammed my slide onto the frame on my new SigSauer 229 elite, damaging the hammer. I brought my gun to the gunsmith, named Ray, and within 45 minutes he had it working like new. I am extremely grateful and I highly recommend consulting Ray for any problems involving your guns. Love going visit this place.

Great place to practice. The 25 yard mark is about half way in the berm so it’s really like 20 – 23 yards. But if you know what ur doing it doesn’t matter. Just remember to bring your own ammo and save a few $$ ;-)

A bunch of idiots here. They said no private party transfers on Sunday and they could do it on Monday. Monday comes and I drive 48 miles to get there. Because it’s MLK day they tell me they don’t do ppt on holidays??? What a bunch of IDIOTS here!!!

I had a good experience here. There was a line, which surprised me a bit, but we arrived with one of those random surges. The range was well lit, the gear was in good condition and the staff were courteous and pleasant. I noticed a lot of gender equality in the customer ratio; that makes me think the place has a steady and well-treated stream of women customers. Sounds strange to spell it out that way, but women I’ve talked with tend to skip out en masse on a place with questionable clientele or staff. My wife came with me, didn’t shoot, but felt comfortable. That matters to me. Nice place, will return if I’m in the area again.

Prices on handguns and not that bad but you could be a little bit better. Shooting ranges dope but if you use their weapons as rental they JAMLIKECRAZYYY! THEAR15, GLOCK, THEYARE extremely dirty weapons as it they will get stuck in the chamber which is pretty sketchy. Prices on accessories are way too high go online ammo is decent but Walmart always better. It gets really busy for the Ranger, at least the cool thing is if you’re in the market for a gun and if you buy the same day they won’t charge you for the rental which is pretty awesome so that you can test out the handgun before you buy it which is always a plus. Parking sucks…

My husband and I have gone here twice so far. It’s a nice price and has good costumer service. My husband enjoys himself there and, even though I don’t shoot, I actually enjoy watching because they have such a fun variety of targets and guns to chose from. Its a nice place to go for some shooting fun. Highly reccomemd.

This was my first experience at a civilian shooting range. The staff were extremely helpful and assisted me throughout my visit. They made the process of shooting as painless as possible. I would highly recommend this range to anyone interested in finding a friendly place to shoot!

I’ve been going here with my dad and with friends for birthday parties. I came here with friends for my birthday last night, and the staff made it a breeze to re-sign up for a membership card, buy ammo, rent a weapon and show us to our lane. Guys who work behind the counter really know their stuff about any weapon you ask them about. They are very cool too. Moreover, it’s one of the only ranges I know about that allows shot guns. Will have to blow some targets up with one next time around. Thanks again Iron Sites! I’ll come back next time I’m at my folk’s house.

Newbie When I came here a few months ago I was completely new to this world. I had never even held a gun. When we walked in I first noticed how packed it was. There was a line in the checkout area where all the guns and ammo are showcased and I could also see the stables to shoot were all full through the glass. Luckily for me and two people I was with, my friend whom is an officer was already there and had agreed to show us the ropes. He helped us step by step get situated with what we needed and never left our side. He made me feel so much more confident about the whole thing and I eventually got the hang of shooting once inside. I know you can hire the guys that work there to assist you but I was glad to have someone that knows me. Overall, this is great location to spend some hours shooting at and I would return.
